OchobunnyI have to knowI don’t watch horror but have to know what happens. Perfect for a scaredy cat like me.
-
JylosoLisa Frankenstein suckedThis was hands down the worse movie you have picked to review , it wasn’t even bad in an entertaining way like the other movies . Maybe this episode needed Mikey or 3rd opinion . Todd agrees with Paige non sense too often
-
MONTEFITCHGreat format and hostsProbably my favorite podcast. Am always sad when it is over because I have to wait for the next release.

RakRekLong time horror movie fanLove this podcast love this group please review Stephen king’s dream catcher

Tiger RosaFrom a non-horror fanThanks to the podcast I was able to have a 10 minute conversation with my cousin today about the lore of the Child’s Play franchise. When she asked if I had seen the TV series I had to explain I had never watched any of the movies. I tried to explain about the podcast, but I think I am keeping the reputation of being the odd cousin.

Seth's not coolJust finished listening to every episodeI discovered this pod a few months ago and went through every episode from the beginning. I have one more episode to go before I'm caught up and idk how I'm gonna wait a week in between episodes 😩. I'm gonna make my way through romancing the pod next! These guys are great and I love the banter between them. It's like listening to friends just having a good time with a little mystery science theater mixed in. Mikey is sorely missed but hope he's doing well and enjoying his life. Looking forward to him as a guest!

JAB2gingerFun timesJust a delightful podcast when you need something in your ear. Also, rooting for an episode on Prom Night 2: Hello Mary Lou.

dstrohmengBody horror/80sI’m two years behind, so maybe they’ve learned but they seem to think blood and guts is body horror. Somebody getting chopped up by Jason or Michael Myers is just slasher violence. Body horror is the human body being changed in disgusting ways like in The Fly or Society. If you weren’t alive in the 80s or barely cognizant, stop telling us what the 80s were like. “well, in the 80s…” or “it was the 80s, so…”. And the answer to any question about the 80s isn’t always cocaine.

DirtievegasTaking a breakI’d like to start with I love the show and personalities. Would even go as far to say I consider you all family. How can I not, we’re talking horror movies. But as of late I’ve noticed a lot of male and takes. An that’s fine but it’s hard to be part of the fun when it seems like your the butt of the joke. Maybe I’m just overloaded because of the upcoming election. Either way I still recommend and would recommend the podcast

AlexisNotTexas! The pod that started it all!Long time listener, first time reviewer! Been listening to this podcast since I saw Hereditary in the theater and months later STILL didn’t have anyone to talk about how scared I was with, so I decided to try listening to a podcast for the first time to hear people freak about it as much as I did. The hosts have changed over the years but the show evolves adapts, and keeps getting better as it goes. I miss Mikey and his blend of mental health expertise and comedy dearly, Paige is hilarious and insightful, and Todd’s dedication to the show and his discussions on mental health and personal growth are always deeply appreciated. Every listen is like one of those great conversations with friends where you laugh, you get a little vulnerable with each other, you maybe go a little TMI from time to time, and you always talk about the last crazy pants movie you saw (probably together, and you’re still not over it). Love the pod and everything that you folks do for us fans on the daily :)

ElmStChickThis Is My Comfort PodcastI absolutely love this podcast! I’ve been listening since The Texas Chainsaw Massacre episode and have been hooked ever since. I love the horror genre and this podcast has introduced me to new horror faves and gotten me to rewatch old faves too! I love hearing them talk about the movies, but the friendship between the hosts is what keeps me listening. They are supportive of one another, but also push each other to see things differently if needed. They sound like my friends and me discussing movies, books, or music that we find interesting. Life do be life-in sometimes and this podcast brings so much laughter and joy. This is the only podcast I listen to that I have saved episodes that I return to when I’m sad or just need something on in the background. It’s also one of if not the best produced podcasts I subscribe to as well. Keep up the good work, y’all are a bright spot in what can seem like a dark world. I wish I could give 10 stars, but Apple doesn’t allow that.

Miss.Kimber28Simply the bestI’ve listened to The Horror Virgin for years, I absolutely adore it. Todd does such an amazing job making this show and his voice could cure a bad day. Paige is chefs kiss, I’m so glad to be able to hear her insights with a dash of her roasting abilities. They could cure any bad day just by listening to an episode.
-
SilamanderedThis show brings me so much comfort on my darkest daysI really hope the hosts know they’ve made such an impact and bring so much laughter to their audience’s lives. I love hearing their stories. I love knowing their thoughts on these different movies. But most of all I always feel like I’m with friends when I listen. It gives me the same feeling I get when I’ve been laughing so hard I start tearing up after having a long, rough day that felt impossible to survive. They deserve the world. I’m glad they’re here.

OhKellyOMy Comfort FoodAs a fellow Horror Virgin, I took me a weird path to find this podcast and give it a shot. From being a Funhaus fan, to following Armando over to Cult Podcast, then following Paige to Horror Virgin. The hosts give their all, and share with the listeners both their own struggles and fears with each episode. And that’s what makes the horror genre so cool - it lands differently for everyone. I know I’m making this sound like a serious podcast, but it’s also laugh-out-loud-in-public funny. I’ve listened to each episode easily 3 to 4 times as the humor, kindness, and insights recharge my battery for another day at my stressful job. Thank you for doing this podcast! I’ve even started watching horror flicks - to the delight of my Horror Fan of a husband.
-
dbb312A Crazy DelightSomething I look forward to every week! I might not always agree on Paige or Todd’s take on a movie, but always appreciate their dedication to the pod, discussions, jokes, and their enthusiasm for the film community. Thanks for the laughs and especially the amount of time each of you dedicate to this podcast!

ekgraham44Horror virgins unite!I’m a horror virgin myself and don’t like watching scary movies. However, they always intrigue me because the plots are so interesting or at least bonkers in the coolest way. This podcast helps me enjoy horror movies in the best way possible! I don’t have to watch all the scary stuff, but I get to enjoy the plot from the best of podcasters. Todd and Paige (and Mikey when he was still on) have entertained me for hours and even kept me company on the 21-hour drive from Texas to California. Thanks guys, and keep up the good work!!

SteubieNot a good showAfter being a listener for a year, in the current episode 336, at 8 minutes into it, Republicans were associated with being crazy bigots by the male host (I think named Todd.) Sadly, this kind of hateful speech ruins the show. It’s fine to have political opinions, but to sit in a middle of an episode and imply that half the audience (probably) who are Republicans are bigots - ironically, is itself a bigoted statement. Also the show hasn’t been the same since host Mikey left a few months back anyway. Unfollow. I’m on to discover a new show. Amazingly, this same episode featured an appeal for a GoFundme which I was gonna donate $100 to. But they can support their own causes rather than ask for my “bigoted” money.

roxyoneillCircling the drainI used to get lost in this podcast in the best way..fully disengaging from the objective horror and hopelessness that is my life for an hour or so. I often can’t pay the bills, let alone see a movie. So finding this podcast meant a lot. I had something to look forward to. My life IS that bad. But the pod has slow rolled into a low-effort, self indulgent circle jerk of hosts congratulating each other in the most condescending facade of self-deprication, rather than bothering to tell us anything coherent or engaging about the movie. It feels like I’m awkwardly watching glimpses of a movie over someone’s shoulder on an airplane filled with screaming babies wearing better clothes than me. It’s unrelatable, and most of all, not about movies. The Sting episode was the death knell. I tried to listen again and still don’t know what happens. 2 stars for the memories of times I laughed out loud and forgot the world for a moment. An extra star bc Jen episodes still exist.
-
SnowydayzzI’m turning into a brave person?I’ve always been a scaredy cat when it comes to these movies, but after listening to you guys talk through them I’m becoming braver! I miss Mikey (best of luck on your endeavors my dude!) but Paige and Todd are killing it!
-
wwechamps say noReally like the showBut please tell Paige, not every movie has to be grounded in reality, tired of hearing they needed mental help. It’s a movie Paige. If they needed mental help, I’ll watch dramas. THis is horror. Get in the horror mindset and stop pointing out personal stories why it’s not true. They dont make all other options untrue.

Natalia0726Love it!The best horror movies podcast you guys make me laugh so hard! 😂
-
Deadhead-Dan10Been enjoying this show……after discovering from a “Last Shift” search. Great chemistry, good humor and some rabbit trails that end up paying off. On top of my positive first impressions, I heard them endorse Suboxone and other MAR meds to get off heroin. As someone with 9+ sober/clean years, I owe my life in part to those medications. I’m also a baby-face like Michael and can’t grow a beard, even at age 48. Good stuff all around, count me in and “on the bus” going forward. Got about 10 downloaded and plowing through. A good companion to my #1 pick—Werewolf Ambulance.
-
skubidoo2Love you all, but let’s get our pronunciations on lock!I’ve been waiting for this Exorcist: Believer episode but as a fan of West African heritage, I have to point out: It’s pronounced YOUR-oh-bah, not you-ROO-bah. I appreciate the criticism about how whiteness was still centered in this film and I love the show, but for you all to be mispronouncing the name of this ethnic group in the same breath is a point of growth. Sending love!
-
ZackatThe perfect pod for the, well, horror virgin.I love love love this show. Unfortunately I’m also a weenie when it comes to horror, so this is how I experience scary movies. Paige and Todd (and Mikey in older/occasional ep) make it feel like a conversation between friends, far more enjoyable than a dry reviewer droning on. I even occasionally find a horror movie that I can handle, like “The Guest” (though the “Immaculate” episode has given me a very skewed understanding of the movie).
-
Silly_MillieDoing my part for the horror virginI might be a few weeks behind but just listened to Godzilla -1 episode where I heard the pod hadn’t received an Apple podcast review that week so here I am to do my duty - letting everyone know that this show is the best horror/movie-review/comedy pod out there and you should give it a listen if you haven’t yet. Also RIP Mikey (he’s not dead, I just miss him.) FIVE STARS
-
Murray/SmithJust found you!!Just found this show! Love Horror and I think you are all amazing!! I’m listening randomly since I have a lot to catch up on. Even though I truly do love Paige, after listening to her Scream Series reviews I’m convinced she’s never seen these movies 😂 Only love for all! Every day I’m excited to listen to the next episode. Just give me a guy in a mask with a knife and I’m hooked! 😱
-
CaptainChazI miss JenThis show used to be pretty entertaining. Jen was and is great. Paige is really obnoxious and Mike contributes nothing but lame attempts at humor. I finally had to unsubscribe. I can’t stand Paige.
-
Big And Black 888Empty ShellAfter Mikey left the show completely fell apart. Listen from when Paige came on board up in till Mikey leaves the show.
-
elizanboo.lovespinsLoved it until Jen left.I would’ve initially rated this podcast five stars but then got halfway through to find. I did not enjoy it any longer. I was so excited to find this podcast and really loved the chemistry after the initial random guest episodes when Mikey came aboard. I could not wait to get to the episodes I really wanted to hear of my favorite horror movies. I even enjoyed listening to your podcast more than watching some of the horror movies. But when I got to episodes obviously multiple years ago now, after Jenn left, I did not even enjoy listening to episodes of my favorite movies. But I tried very hard but cannot enjoy listening to the podcast with Paige. I just don’t enjoy her humor and don’t find the podcast as funny or as insightful. The chemistry is just not right IMO. Definitely give it a listen and judge for yourself.
-
postpleaseUggggghSo Mikey’s gone but you found the closest audio guest to emulate his sound? Annnnnyway I hate giving review stars to anything but you all deserve 5 stars. Thank you for entertaining me with your two amazing podcasts. As written many times before your loving interactions together is so palpable and your breakdowns are (even with me sometimes saying no, no noooooope that’s not what happened/what they’re hinting at) goddamn solid. Luv ya all and miss mikey

PartimehorrorfanToo much theatre singing but I love this podcast otherwise.I want to preface by saying that I listen to this podcast everyday since my discovery. Honestly, I think that’s why the loud theatre singing was starting to annoy me. It’s loud and out of nowhere, acting as an intro to the next section of the podcast which feels unnecessary. Other than that, I really do enjoy the podcast.
-
EringauAre you getting Billy Zane? 👀My heart broke when Mikey announced he was leaving. I love the three of you together! I found your podcast very late in the game and am on old episodes, specifically Poltergeist 2 where you discuss pushing out Mikey for Billy Zane. So…let us know.
-
mattchew1981Hard on the ears…Decent horror content but the hosts yell the whole episode, only taking breaks to scream-sing or have fits of over the top forced-laughter.
-
UnfamiliarGroundSquirrelThe only podcast I listen to with any regularity!I exclusively refer to DiGiorno pizza as Desjardins now. Thank you for that.😌🍕🐍
-
Cat Kansas-LaVeauThank you!I came here after being a loyal listener to Cult Podcast and really enjoying Mikey and Todd when they guest starred. I am a scaredy-cat and wasn’t able to watch horror movies, but I was so interested in what the genre was doing with movies like Get Out and Hereditary. I love that they give a play by play and I can listen to the episode first and understand what I’m getting myself into. I actually can watch horror movies now and I really appreciate all of your perspectives!
-
soccergirl00115 stars for my crew!Came here to say I immediately went out to buy jalapeño honey hummus after that one episode and it did not disappoint. Thanks for the rec Mikey
-
TophmcmullenDefinitely my fav horror movie podcastThe perfect mix of horror appreciation, movie knowledge, and host chemistry. I look forward to every new episode!
-
SfmtwinBest horror recap/review podcastThank you for doing fun movies and giving unbiased reviews. You all sound like you’re having fun and can find enjoyment in any movie, the good, the bad and the ridiculous.

Andrew "Machomandalorian" CihaHorror Virgin: a quality podcast™️What can be said about Horror Virgin that hasn’t already been said? Obviously, the chemistry between the hosts, when discussing the things that scare them the most (or what monument in the world they’d throw the Titanic at), is the best part of the show. But i wanted to specifically mention the actual audio quality of the show. I listen to a lot of podcasts, be it comedy, political, or just other movie review shows, and Horror Virgin is a cut above the rest. I want to personally thank Todd for being brave week to week and talking about it, Paige for her razor wit and effort that goes into reviewing multiple movies a week (and cult stuff too), and of course Mikey and his fun Mikey-isims and wisdom from the day job to put everything into perspective from a mental health point of view. You’re all amazing, and I always look forward to listening every week. Much love from your community!

Joahan PerezGreatest Podcast Of All Time!Hey it’s Joahan, I just wanted to say that I appreciate you all for contributing to the best podcast everrr. My favorite genre of movies is horror, so I love that you guys break down, and tell me things that I never even knew or thought about while watching these movies. It can really change my thoughts and opinions on them. So thanks to the hard work you guys put in. P.S just so y’all know Mike is my favorite😂🤙🏽

LeafGirl1988My Favorite PodcastI have been listening to this podcast for so long that I can't remember how I found it, but I am so glad I did. It took me some time to catch up on all the episodes and finally write my review. I love horror, and yous guys podcast has introduced me to new horror and new insights on old ones. I love how Paige and Todd include their industry knowledge to the show and Mikey his mental health knowledge. The 3 of you are some of my favorite people. Paige, I love to quote you all the time, Todd, Water then pills all the way and Mikey, I too really like teeth, but probably more because I am a dental hygienist. The last year for me has been very hard and relistening to old episodes has gotten me through the hard times while I find a therapist that isn't Mikey. Keep doing what you are doing! Thank you so much. P.S. My goal in life in to be on the patreonicals one day.
-
Elsa VonStottsMikey is my favorite!Discovered this when Todd was a guest on another podcast and it quickly became my go-to show. Been listening for almost a year and so far no ear cancer. I love scary movies, but I can’t always handle disturbing visuals so I appreciate their hilarious recaps. Their conversations sometimes go on tangents that other listeners who want a straight recap may not appreciate, but I love going along for the ride. P.S. I love all three hosts equally*

BoydlerThe heroes we need in these trying timesThe Horror Virgin is without a doubt the best horror movie recap show out there. Todd, Paige, and Mikey have the chemistry most hosts only dream of. They play off of each other as if they’ve been friends their whole lives. Todd - the boisterous, over-enthusiastic horror virgin who’s not afraid to share his vulnerabilities with the world. Paige - the witty comic who elevates the conversation. Her knowledge of the industry and ability to improvise are amazing. Her personality and insights help carry this show to the top. Mikey - P word. P word. P word. . . . Just kidding. Mikey’s humble soul is glue that holds this pod together. His perspective as a mental health professional and compassion shown when difficult topics are discussed helps make the bad parts of life a little less bad. And that’s pretty good. I hope these three know what a joy it is listening to them enjoy their time together. It’s like hanging out with your own friends. Obviously they all have busy lives, but if y’all could come up with a D&D campaign that we can all come along on, it would be amazing. And you KNOW you could get Todd to pass out or vomit. Anyway, thanks for what you do. It’s incredible. All the respect in the world. Ryno
-
lauryn444Riff Raff??love this podcast and will forever be yearning for yall to do special episodes of reviewing other non horror/romantic movies. Also REALLY love that it sounds like Tod laughs with his mouth open similar to Riff Raffin his “main goal” video. Reminds me of how a shark might laugh
-
alexiscb05095 star review from meI come to you on the 6th day of black history month to commemorate this podcast for getting me through some tough times. The tough times I’m having are usually just my work hours but this podcast helps me nonetheless. I’ve been a listener for a few years and I’ve been happy to see the introduction of ads so that we can continue to get high quality content. I really appreciate Todd for being the podcast glue. Paige for being my all-around top pick. And Mikey for being there sometimes. Love you guys!
-
Allieeecat062893New fanI first discovered this podcast earlier this month and have binged about an episode a day a month later. HILARIOUS AND very entertaining personalities. If you’re a true horror film fan you must give a listen. The hosts give great plot by plot points of the films and it just overall such a great vibe!!
-
LalalalowrieSo LongThey pick great movies and they can be funny, but the majority of the pods are side tangents and completely unrelated topics. Combined with the ad breaks there’s probably less than 30 minutes of movie-talk in every episode.

BillyW073090Late Night Energy at its finestThe utter nonsense and plethora of in jokes that leak into both this podcast and the sister in, RTP, are the best part of my day. I find myself revisiting the magic and mayhem of the podcast on a daily basis and often get strange and unusual looks while I’m laughing along with Mikey, Todd, and Paige. From crapping on the floor, to the feet/dead brother jokes, to the singing on the show, there is something about the trio that brings sibling rivalry and energy together and makes me feel as if I have the family I always wanted. Thank you for the memories and laughter. I never get tired of it. Love you guys!
