Best horror movie podcast out there. Highly recommend!

Just discovered this show and started with the Jurassic Park episode. Great discussion on my favorite movie. Had to cringe though every time they called Dr. Sattler, “Dr. Sadler”. Looking forward to listening to more episodes.

I have listened to this podcast for years. These two are funny while being very insightful talking about some of the horror genres most iconic movies!

I really enjoy this podcast; both guys come off as relatable and chill. After listening to the Freddy Vs Jason podcast yesterday, it was awesome to hear unique perspectives/opinions that don’t just go along with everyone else. For myself, I really dislike podcasts that basically repeat what critics say. Will gladly continue to listen. I battle depression every day, and this podcast helps with getting me out of my overthinking mind. Appreciate you guys keeping up the great work.

seems like they talk about horror movie fans as if they aren’t fans themselves. no enthusiasm for some of the gore. also they skim over some details and plot points as if they couldn’t be bothered to research

this is my favorite podcast. i’ve been listening for 2 years now and i’m never disappointed. brian and ashvin have great banter and energy and I feel like i’m hanging out with my friends whenever I tune in.

These guys are great. Listening to this show feels like hanging with two friends. They review all kinds of horror movies from genre defining blockbusters to obscure films. I really appreciate all of the background info provided at the beginning which gives insights that I had never considered. The two hosts are extremely likable and each provide unique takes. Love the show!

I thoroughly enjoy this show. They cover lots of my favorite movies and expose me to movies I’ve never heard of. Most of my friends don’t like horror, so listening to this podcast after watching a new movie has been a nice replacement to discussing it with friends. They do a great job!

I generally disagree with Brian’s opinions and Ashvinn has no confidence in anything he says and always defers to Brian to validate his own opinions

The hosts sounds like prepubescent teenagers and are either unprepared and/or uninformed about the films they’re reviewing.

I drive. I drive a lot. And I hate it. So I have to find something that will keep me entertained while I’m driving. I have gone through many podcasts, books on tape, albums, playlists nothing works. At least some due in the short term, but never in the long term. I am a huge horror movie fan. I love them. I don’t have many friends who I could talk to so one day I searched for horror movie podcast, and this was one that I really really enjoyed. I listen to reviews of movies I haven’t seen in a long time, and I listen to, the reviews of movies I’ve never seen and then I want to see them. So this podcast is great. And I really appreciate the opinions of the two guys and I have the Atmos respect for both of them. Keep them coming.

This is the only podcast I listen regularly. There’s a superb blend of humor and equal amounts of respect for the horror genre. I like Ashvin (because his name autocorrected to ashcan) because of a slight since of wonder to many of these films… especially older ones. I’m 12 years older, so my exposure to horror came a little earlier. It’s delightful to get a fresh reaction to what is a classic in my mind. Brian is just funny. He does well with plot descriptions and has a solid knowledge of the genre across the board. Top notch stuff. If you want to feel like you are part of a conversation, listen to these guys. They won’t disappoint. New fan for life…

Generally, the show is very entertaining, turns me onto horror movies I haven’t heard of. Also remind me of movies I’ve already seen, but forgotten of. But, stop bringing up music/culture . You literally sound like boomers when you talk about music that you’ve never heard of. I had no idea kids these days knew so little about music/culture from 70s 80s or 90s. wow

This is the best Horror movie podcast out there. I anticipate every review whenever a new movie comes out, and I cannot believe I waited almost 2 years to sing the praises. I love the hosts ability to not drift off topic, and give insights to the films. I absolutely love listening to these guys! Recently found this pod and been listening nearly everyday since! Thrilled to find a way to further engulf myself in the horror world! Entertaining and hilarious!

It takes so long to get to any meat of the convo that I often skip ahead or leave. Plus you're always forgetting the names of the people that you're talking about or what the plot is and it's kind of bumbling. I think podcast would be good with some editing. I love Ashvin's laugh. I really have stopped because I can't stand the 15 to 25 minutes of talking about nothing before you break down the movie but if you ever get your game plan edited and shortened, I'll come back.

Great podcast! I dig the format of spoiler-free for the first chunk of the episode and think the “excuses” to pause are really funny each time. While I’m not from OH, I think the tie-back is very clever with a comprehensive recap that clearly has a lot of effort put into it. Was looking for a good horror series without utterly obnoxious hosts and glad to have found this one. Only drawback is wanting to have more episodes. 😉 thanks, guys!!

I don’t like how they hide their opinions until the end because it makes it so I don’t know if I should watch the movies there talking about when I see the spoiler free part but I understand it’s a clever way to make you see the full episode because you wondering if they like the movie or not, I don’t like the Ohio connection since it doesn’t matter and I don’t like it when they list all the movies in a franchise, but it is nice to hear people talk about the things that I like, it is entertaining

I feel as it's taken me so long to leave a review because I love this podcast. I enjoy the friendship the hosts share and the insight into the films. Going to make it a point to join the Patreon for this because I really appreciate this show.

I’m a huge fan of this podcast and have listened to every episode (including the Patreon ones). The structure is great and they never fill the time with off-topic conversation or useles ads. I also love the theme song and the creative musical break to signal spoilers. I would love if they reviewed other genres of movies!

I listen to them all the time. The hosts provide insightful analysis of the classics as well as create interest in lesser known gems. A+

Hands down best horror movie podcast out there. I subscribe to many of them, but this one is a cut above. They have awesome chemistry and a passion for the genre. Their format is perfect with the spoiler free content for those who want a brief breakdown, but their deep dive is the best. They're so thorough with their analysis it often has me seeking out movies I haven't given a chance before. I love their quips and dry-ish sense of humor. I don't know what more I can say. Give it a listen, you'll be hooked.

Not nerds, not newbs. They do a great job. Chemistry between them is hilarious. Knowledgeable enough to be great, young enough to still be learning. Long time fan since the beginning.

Two well meaning guys try to discuss horror movies. Unfortunately they aren’t the best at it. Mispronounced words, misunderstood plots, and general disappointments.

I love the energy of the hosts and really enjoy their Top 5 (10?) lists. Their review of It Follows was one of my favorite episodes. I look forward to this podcast every week.

I really love this podcast, and it always brings a smile to my face. I’ve listened to over 200 episodes in the past six months and really glad that I found this podcast. Gives great suggestions on horror, movies that I’ve never seen. I love matching up the reviews that are given in the scores compared to what I gave and I normally aligned with Brian. I also love how interactive it is if you give us suggestion, they give you a shout out when they do the episode which is really cool I’m a fan for life💜

Great podcast I have known Brian for many years as he is a man that helped me buy gas one from a 7/11 and he told me that he likes horror movies so I said wow do you have a podcast and he said no and hear we are ywars later and Brian has a podcast I am so proud -ashvin

Love this show, love the banter. I like how they keep the conversation going, always asking followup questions. Just a fun show, some other boomer reviewers getting mad makes it even better. I never notice politics in it, I’m just enjoying a show while I clean or cook. You guys are awesome, keep up the great work!!! Ignore the haters, I love your show!

Doesn’t feel well researched and some thoughts expressed aren’t fully formed. That said, the right wing trolling in a couple of these reviews is *chef’s kiss*. It’s amazing how triggered people become over passing comments. Love the takes on Columbus and the definitely true fact that left wingers were going around murdering innocents.

You guys mentioned January 6th…but you forgot to mention the summer of terror 2020…ya know how blm and leftist lunatics literally robbed, killed innocent people in the streets and burned businesses down. I love these guys takes on horror movies. Fair critiques and entertaining to listen too. Me and my wife will throw some episodes on during long road trips.

I’ve tried listening to this show…early and recent episodes. It’s clear to me the hosts are clueless and do ZERO research prior. They don’t even know basic ratings of the movie they are trying to review. No real opinions or thoughts, just basic recaps of the film. Move on!

Listening to the Happening episode, and I can’t get over the fact these guys keep calling a movie that is critically bad a “B movie”….. Not Sure they Know what the true meaning of “B Movie” is kinda Lame

It’s like listening to my conversations with my friends about horror. Unlike other shows that has hosts yelling at each other and talking over each other this is just chill conversations with 2 fun guys. Love it. Also love the Ohio connections as I live there!
