    I have an addiction
To this pod. Can I get some more? 🥴 These goofballs are pretty good, y’all 🫶🏻 aside from how stellar everything is in the podcast - these fantastical humans have made me realize that life, in its purest form, is improv. Finding people who also deal in that impromptu and silly energy is key to unleashing my inner goofball and finding joy. The story in this pod is incredibly intricate and vivid, the chemistry in and out of game is a seamless amalgamation of jokes, role play, razzing, laughter, and inclusivity. My heart is full listening to these wonderful friends play DND. I wholeheartedly recommend this to my fellow goofballs. :) Goof long and prosper 🖖

    The best flavor of weirdos
I will be listening at work and I find myself trying not to laugh, near constantly. As well as time stamping funny moments to later subject my friends to it.

    Goofballs with a solid plot
I’ve been following since the first season and finally switched over from Spotify. These talented fools have me listening to their goofs over and over again! If you’re looking for a queer positive dnd podcast with INCREDIBLE long term world building and plot development, you’ve found the right podcast. Can’t wait to see what they do next!

Why I can’t Sleep at Night Anymore and Listen to This Instead
This podcast is amazing. I truly can not find the words to describe it. This is my comfort zone, my mug of hot cocoa on a rainy day, my comforting hug. The story is amazing, the characters are hilarious, and it never fails to cheer me up. I started listening to this last thanksgiving and this is all I have listened to since. I love Fran’s sarcasm, Korbin’s weird antics, and Slake’s almost never ending patience and enthusiasm. And Kat’s storytelling. Kat, I am about to start DMing for my friends and I hope that I am at least half as good as you, but that is highly unlikely. Noel, you are an amazing editor and song writer. I wish I could go listen to the songs you create for this wonderful podcast over and over again. Juniper, you never fail to say something that makes me laugh, and you can do an AMAZING Mickey Mouse voice. Errol, you are hilarious, an amazing actor, and someone I would 100% be friends with. I rolled to fall in love with this podcast and I rolled a natural 20. You all are so wondrous and hilarious, please never stop podcasting. You bring so much joy to so many people, and you are the kind of people I want to be.

    This podcast saved me
I cannot even begin to describe how incredible this podcast is. The world building and storytelling done by the dm Kat, and the players Noel, juniper and Errol is so immersive and magical. It's such a great connection to dungeons and dragons for people feminine relating people. It was so hard for me to get into dnd as a teenager because everyone knew who played were cis boys that made it really inaccessible for literally any other identifying people. The party does such a wonderful job of balancing heavier themes with joyful humor. There is so much talent spread throughout all of them. I still haven't found another actual play podcast that satisfies me as much as this one does. I will be so sad when they are done. Tell all your friends, I know I certainly did!

✨ my podcast true love ✨
I would like to thank the makers of this podcast. This show cheers me up when I'm sad, calms me down when I'm angry, and keeps me company when I'm happy. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. This show is my favorite by far and is still making me laugh on my 5th+ time listening to it. I am forever grateful to you guys for investing your time and effort into this show and for sharing it with the world. I hope you guys have an awesome 2024! To anyone wondering if they should give this show a listen, i say YES! Its lighthearted and hilarious without throwing away the plot of the story. You can definitely tell how much TLC the makers put into it. Its very beginner friendly so you don't need to play dungeons and dragons to understand or have a good time. Please give it a listen!

No need to roll, I’m in love with these Dames
I’m so glad I found this podcast. The last several months have felt like a blur of bad news after more bad news, and this podcast’s catalog of episodes have been a big help in keeping me afloat. There’s something almost eerily familiar and relatable about the party’s struggles to things that have been going on. While my personal favorite character is and always will be Fran, the entire cast and even MANY of the NPCs are truly wonderful, endearing, and truly hilarious. I sometimes have to pause or rewind because I laugh so hard I miss what happens in the middle of my fits of laughter. I truly am so grateful with every episode I get to listen to and I am very much dreading when I am caught up and don’t have the option to just keep listening as long as I want. It also makes me smile that y’all are in MN, which is my birthplace and I have a lot of family around the Twin Cities. We seem to be a similar age so I like to imagine that had I grown up there we might have met and been friends. Because each of you absolutely seems like my kind of people. 💜🔮 Also it is frankly offensive that there isn’t a D20 emoji yet. Let’s…. play D&D.

Absolute chaos in the best way
This podcast is amazing. I’ve been listening to it on and off for years (only off because I have to give them time to put up multiple episodes so I can binge it like the gremlin I am) and it’s literally my favorite podcast ever. While it is a decidedly chaotic and comedic podcast, it’s also incredibly touching and the plot is incredibly interesting. It’s such a beautiful example of dnd and all the characters are great. Not to mention I feel like I can see myself and my friends in the LegendLarks themselves. While I’m waiting on baited breath for the next episode, I’m also so incredibly sad this story is coming to an end even if it’s still a ways off. Kat, you’re an incredible dm and story teller, Maeri’s growth has been amazing and your characters are always intriguing. Noel, editing may be an oft overlooked job but you’re doing great, plus Fran is such a mood. Juniper, your (& Corbin’s) chaos and humor are amazing, I pray your crow tea always has extra worms. Errol, you’re an amazing postmaster and Slake is such a sweet boi. Thank you guys for being such a bright part of my life

    Love it!
An A+ podcast! I stopped listening to the only other podcast for a while because this one is so great. I laughed out loud at at least once on every episode I watched. But one question can we clarify who Chantelle is once more?

    Gaerius/Daeri
never thought I’d be at the point of relistening to each episode this many times, but it really never gets tiring. corbin is just a little guy, fran is neutrally hostile and we love it, slake’s energy is incredible, maeri is so maeri… darius and gaeri’s parts are horribly beautiful, strong betty wolf of the waves will forever be remembered, and dashing dawson… well, need I say more? kat, you’ve done such a great job with this campaign and I’m so glad I stumbled upon this a few years ago. errol, juniper, noel, and all you wonderful guests, there’s a reason y’all have a 5.0 rating and I have indeed hacked into the system and given you 69 stars out of 5. you all genuinely make my day when I see that you’ve posted. thank you for doing this- I hope you never stop, because I can’t live without this chaos.

    A Fantastical Journey!
I stumbled upon LegendLark podcast last year, and it has quickly become a standout show for me. The show is a brilliant fusion of storytelling, humor, and genuine camaraderie that makes it stand out in the crowded world of actual-play podcasts. At the heart of this captivating adventure is the incredibly talented group of people, whose imaginative world-building and masterful storytelling skills transport listeners to a realm of wonder and excitement. Kat's prowess as a DM is nothing short of astounding. Her ability to craft intricate plots while maintaining a fluid, player-driven narrative is a true testament to her skill and dedication. She weaves together an engaging tapestry of characters, landscapes, and challenges that keeps both the players and the audience on the edge of their seats. Kat's infectious enthusiasm and knack for improvisation ensure that every episode is a thrilling rollercoaster ride, filled with unexpected twists and heartwarming moments. The characters in LegendLark are a delightful bunch, each bringing their unique quirks and personalities to the table. There's Fran, the sassy wizard with a heart of gold, portrayed by Noel; Corbin, the interesting and quirky druid, brought to life by Juniper's impeccable role-playing; Slake, the lovably sweet and naive fighter played by Errol; and earlier in the series, Laika, the steadfast tiefling paladin, portrayed with infectious energy by Sophia. The chemistry between these characters is palpable, and their interactions are nothing short of magical. One of the standout features of LegendLark is the impeccable world-building. The group's vivid descriptions and attention to detail breathe life into every corner of the fantastical realm, from fantastical mythos to each questionable decision from the players. Their ability to create a living, breathing world is unparalleled, and it's clear that a tremendous amount of thought and effort goes into crafting this immersive experience. Finally, the production quality of LegendLark is top-notch. The sound design and editing are seamless, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable listening experience. The music and sound effects perfectly complement the narrative, enhancing the atmosphere and drawing listeners even deeper into the story. In conclusion, LegendLark is a shining gem in the world of actual-play podcasts. With exceptional storytelling, a cast of unforgettable characters, and a world that sparkles with imagination, this show is a must-listen for anyone who craves adventure, laughter, and heartwarming moments. I eagerly anticipate each new episode, knowing that it will be a journey filled with surprises, emotion, and pure, unadulterated fun. Do yourself a favor and embark on this fantastical journey with the LegendLark - you won't regret it!

    Delightful Stuff
I found LegendLark through a recommendation from a friend and started listening at the very beginning about three months ago. I burned through the entire campaign so quickly, listening to it on my drive to work and after my kids were in bed. The characters are wonderful, the story is delightful but complex, and the acting is goofy and poignant. The podcast is so entertaining with a great mix of suspenseful drama, fascinating lore, and absolutely hysterical shenanigans. 10/10, highly recommend

    You have to listen!!
I love this podcast. I’ve been listening to them since they started podcasting and it’s an amazing show. They are funny, the plot is engaging, characters phenomenal, an all around amazing podcast. This show feels like an old friend, and returning to it every time they post (and relistening to it on off weeks) is the highlight of my day.

You don’t need dice to fall in love with this podcast
This is the best podcast—the plot line is wonderful, the cast is the best, I have nothing but love. Whenever I listen I literally giggle out loud—it’s like listening to my best friends tell a story. Also, you are all wrong, evil Falen is the hottest with Lorria as a close second. Maeri is 3rd (sorry, Fran). Anyway, my dice say that I love you but everything is fine, don’t worry about to.

    First Exposure to D&D and it’s a masterpiece 👌
I found this podcast back in 2020 because I needed something to listen to during my commute. I had no prior experience with D&D but wanted to see what it’s all about, so I hit play on the first episode and never looked back! The story telling, characters, and plot are amazing. I can tell that Kat puts a lot of heart into developing the lore, and it really brings the world to life. On top of that, the humor is top-tier! I listen on Spotify but downloaded apple podcast just to show my love for the show. I’m excited to see how the Dames and Dragons campaign wraps up, and I’m looking forward to the stories that the LegendLark era will bring!

As a fellow 5e nerd, I greatly enjoy listening to this group of tight-knit friendos playing 5e. The story they weave is heartwarming, entertaining and so funny, and the world Kat has built feels so real! Shout out to Corbin my squackin bro! ❤️ I want this campaign to be available to play so bad!! I love the world!

Come for the D&D; stay for the silliness
This is a great mix of pure silliness with an actual good D&D story. Kat has built a great world for the players to make questionable choices in. I mean the characters *mean* well.... I went through a bunch of Live-Play podcast and this was one of the few to stick, mainly because it's clear they are having so much fun with each other. The intros are often insane friend babble in the best ways, and the story is compelling enough for me to go back to the start to listen to all of it.
  • Axel To The Maxel
    Can't Praise Enough
I listen to more than 2 dozen different TTRPG shows and podcasts, and I can say that LegendLark is def one of my all-time favorites. Between the hilarious intros, the teenage social awkwardness, and the high stakes choices and consequences, this show never fails to make me laugh, cringe-blush, or otherwise genuinely feel. To prove how much I love this show, I created an Apple account just to review. I don't even have an Apple device! But y'all deserve the props.
  • kaylaszzzzz
    So worth listening too
I love this podcast so much! The character development, the story line and the sweet friendship the players have with each other is just so special and magical! It has quickly became one of my FAVORITE DnD podcast!! The only thing that I struggle with is they are aren’t consistent in their posting schedule!

    I said I would.
I have promised myself that I would leave a review for years now, and I’m bad at following through. This is my most favourite storytelling dnd-esque podcast I have ever listened to. They are.. unhinged in the best way. I listen to many podcasts, but this is the one that I listen to immediately as soon as it comes out and I await (for far too long, for my tastes) the next episode of as soon as the one I’m listening to ends. All of players and characters are fantastic in their own ways (I seriously love every player/character for different reasons), and Kat is amazing at running a game that’s somewhat like herding 30-50 feral hogs and keeping the story going in a fascinating way. If you don’t particularly care about following all the rules of the game and you’re more interested in a truly creative and hilarious podcast, this is for you. Warning - may include farts, sonic, and jajas. Also, please: LegendLarks.

    Truly Incredible
This podcast contains one of the best stories I have ever heard and I am so impressed with Kat’s world building and narrative skills. Noel’s humor, musical talent, and editing skills polish it to perfection. I wish I could express more fully how Juniper’s antics and general vibe (both as Corbin and OOC) make me laugh. Hannah is clearly here to bring the sex appeal and I’m here for it. I cannot wait to become a patron for more of this world and its characters. Y’all are fantastic and thank you. :)

A super fun real play podcast!
It can be difficult for me to stick to a D&D podcast, but I love this one so much that I’ve relistened to it multiple times. It’s funny, has great storytelling, and a lot of heart. This feels like the kind of game I day dream of being a part of! It’s definitely more narrative than a fully free and rules based game, but outside of one early point it never feels as if players are being forced into any particular decision for the sake of the story. The world is a complete home brew full of interesting lore! Every member of this group is a real delight (with a special shout out to Kat for her world crafting and Noelle for her music!) If you’re looking for a real play podcast this is definitely worth a shot!

I love this crew— they mentioned they’ve been friends for a long time and it really comes through in the banter and the way they’re on the same wavelength. Absolutely hilarious cast, delightful story, beautiful music. Would recommend to anyone who loves d&d, is a femme person who likes gaming, believes in himbo rights, or enjoys a healthy mix of the comedy&fantasy genres. If you’re seeing this, love y’all ❤️

Such a fun show, and the most recent arc is amazing
I’m a lawyer, and hearing the party in a courtroom drama has been a hoot and three quarters! It shows how much the DM does a great job of keeping things fun, while also running a real game to give backbone to the story.

    Best dnd Podcast Ever!
This podcast has all the things I love about dnd! It has really funny moments where I feel like im right there with the gang. But it also has moments where I adore the story and mourn the trials and tribulations of the party.

Behold! Good fortune, laughter, and wonder ahead!
TL;DR: Listening to Dames & Dragons is such a good decision that doing so will bless you with good fortune and all of your decisions for the rest of your life will bring you joy, adventure, and tolerable levels of risk that only end with reward. I started Dames & Dragons, my first foray into “actual play” podcasts or really any D&D podcast, at the same time as joining my first D&D group a short while ago. I became absolutely enamored with this podcast right away. I love it so much I’m writing my first ever and possibly last ever iTunes review to proselytize for this group of hilarious, clever, creative, and endearing people. I’m only a fifth of the way through the main story and already I have laughed so hard my chest hurt, felt rapturous awe at the beautiful storytelling, genuinely cried at moments of tenderness and grief, been shocked and bewildered and wildly excited by a turn of events, and listened far ahead of my partner knowing - perhaps even relishing - that I would have to relisten to several episodes with her as she caught up. I’ve also learned a lot about D&D just from listening and the podcast has definitely made my entry into the world of tabletop RPGs more fun and way less intimidating. I have heard from my friends that the main campaign is maybe nearing its end and I simply refuse to look into whether or this is true because I can’t bear the thought of not having more episodes to tune into, even though I have at least 80 more to go. I agree wholeheartedly with my wife that the DM of Dames & Dragons, Kat, should just become a world famous YA author and supplant JK Rowling so we can all just forget about Rowling and revel instead in Kat’s inventive world building. She crafted a unique universe just for this campaign and the level of detail and care is just astonishing. I’m so, so happy and grateful that this wonderful group allowed the world to listen in on their adventures.

You have no right to be this good!
I don’t leave reviews. This is literally the best thing I have ever heard in my life. I piss myself laughing every episode and I guess if you hate immersive storytelling, relating to and laughing at dynamic characters, epic fight sequences, and a TON of dump jokes then this isn’t the podcast for you. Everyone else stop by your favorite off boy hungry brand, sit back, and enjoy some genuinely wonderful human beings make some genuinely questionable and hilarious shenanigans! Happy rollin’ yall!
  • mollyhollybobolly
    one of my faves
Roll to fall in love with this amazing podcast! You may or may not act noticeably different after you start listening to these goofballs and their shenanigans, but it’ll definitely brighten your days either way. So many episodes have left me in stitches, and part of why I’m not even fully caught up yet is because I keep going back to listen to my favorite bits of past episodes and intros. AND to the music, because the soundtracks are beautiful and there’s even a few lyrical songs! They’re completely wonderful. Also! The DM came up with her own world and entire pantheon of gods, which just blows me away with how cool and creative it is. Most of the arcs have a myth story in the first episode, and it makes the world that much more flavorful and brilliant. Not to mention the characters are all so fun and lively, I don’t think I can pick a favorite. Please do yourself a favor and check out this podcast <3
