This is absolutely one of my all-time favorite podcasts. The cast is fantastic, the characters are awful in the very best way, the storyline is fun and interesting. I love the premise, and I love all of the outlandish twists and turns. I’ve been a listener since the very early episodes and I’m happily a member of the patreon and the discord and if there were a live show I would be at it without any doubt. They capture the feeling of watching a reality show perfectly. The arguments about irrelevant things, the absolute disconnection from reality, the selfishness of rich housewives who cannot understand the real world, the way you pick a favorite and root for her (Team Anya obviously) - it’s all fantastic.

I cannot get enough! I’m so sad there aren’t more episodes out, gonna have to head to Patreon for the bonus content. If I could rate it higher than five stars I would! Kiki, I love you, you chaotic little rib loving demon!

Playing a group of reality TV stars thrust into a fantasy world is a solid idea and I'm glad to see it in the hands of a really great, comedically gifted group of players and DMs. The characters are all vivid and well thought-out (not even just the PCs), and I think it would be very easy to make a group of PCs constantly backstabbing and being catty with each other wear thin, but almost at the end of season 1 I still find the group's dynamic to be delightful, even compelling. The DMs are quite adept in their craft, too. Their presentation of the world and the things and people in it is evocative, their arbitration of the rules is fair while maintaining tension when they need to (and that's major, I've seen some productions where the kiddy gloves are pretty egregious if it's not outright scripted), they present interesting situations and challenges, and they're very smooth about letting the players create an emergent story through their choices. I also have to praise the sound effects, ambient music, and voicework. All very nice touches. The first few episodes were slower compared to where I'm at now, but emergent story *does* need time to emerge. Nevertheless, you can see what these women are capable of from the very beginning. This is one of the best actual play podcasts I've ever listened to.

And the execution is great, too. Those are the two things that make good entertainment.

I just binged the entire first season during a cross country road trip and this has got to be one of the best actual plays I have listened to in a long long time. These women are so funny and endlessly creative (when they learned how to use message they had me laughing so much that I almost got into a wreck). They really bring an energy that I feel is missing from a lot of other actual plays. I hope they keep it going for a long time!!!

Just discovered this and I’m OBSESSED. Please. Also, now I want to get a cat and name them Egg.

RHoDnD is a fantastic spin on Dungeons and Dragons. I am writing this as of episode five, so the quality will probably shift for better or for worse, but the characters and storyline are amazing and funny so far. This show reminds me a lot of “Dungeons and Daddies (Not a BDSM Podcast)” in all the best ways. I just hope the ancestors continue to steer this show in the same direction of quality it has set course for already Edited Jan 2024: this show is amazing. One of the episodes of season one has one of the best cliffhangers I have ever experienced! The show is evolving and growing in such an amazing way. Also. Kiki continues to prove that the barb is always the best character

This is the perfect show to bing. Just some friends playing a silly game together. It’s endless entertainment, and gives me great ideas for future campaign characters 😂

And by Clarissa I mean anyone looking for a good D&D podcast: you have to listen to this show. The cast is super good and it’s very funny. Also really good production quality with sound effects. Ps Dragon Talk sent me here! I was curious, and I’m so glad I checked it out. You won’t be disappointed

I come from no experience with any of the Real Housewives, and lots of experience with DnD. I might be wrong about this, but it seems like the cast are the opposite. But even still, I’m having a great time and can absolutely second some of the other reviews: I think I’m enjoying this show more than some of the more famous ones out there (Critical Role etc). I started in season two, and while I do plan on listening back through season one, I don’t feel like I missed too much. The characters and story are super enjoyable and you can pretty much just dive right in, and there are plenty of reminders and refreshers on things that happened previously that I’m never left wondering for too long. So far, the plot is also really interesting and the co-dming is working out great (not an easy feat!). As stated in another review, the rules are not played perfectly RAW all the time if you’re into that, but even though I am, it’s close enough that it doesn’t get in the way of the character interactions and the story. Would recommend.

Loved Season 1. Excited for Season 2. One of my favorite D&D podcasts. Get me some beef jerky and gold nuggie nugs!!!

This show is hilarious and chaotic and a refreshing break from every other actual play podcast where everyone works together to kill the Big Bad. Great production quality. I’m an old-school D&D nerd and have never watched a single Real Housewives episode, and this is still one of my favorite D&D shows.

I’ve listened to my fair share of D&D podcasts, from Critical Role to The Adventure Zone to Dimension 20 and NADDPod, but this is the most consistently funny one I’ve come across. If you’re a rules purest, you may have some thoughts, but if you’re here strictly for the ride and a ton of laughs, then this is the place for you.

I have listened to a LOT of D&D podcasts over many years. This is very good for production value, storyline but most importantly are the people. These ladies are simply something else. They actually have a ton of fun playing and the DMs just roll with it and pickup and expand on lots of things. Thank you very much for making these! The only issue that you might have is a mild depression when you get caught up to the latest episodes and have to wait for the next one.

This is the funniest D&D podcast I have ever listened to, and I listen to a lot. I really hope there is a session 2 and more.

I truly love this show! The only improvement would be if the housewives kissed! (I’m a lesbian so it’s ok)

The chaos of this group is wonderful to listen to, I love the unpredictability of it. If you’re someone that really wants things 100% by the book when it comes to a real play D&D podcast it might not be for you, I’m trying to work it out but I still can’t fully figure out what class each character is, but listening to the journey and the cast interacting it feels like when I play with my friends.

I’m so glad I gave this podcast a chance it does not disappoint. Great chemistry between everyone.

This is such a brilliant concept! It is done so technically well (the sound design is so impressive!!) and also with so much creativity, warmth, and humor in the performances. Each time I think I have a favorite character, someone else does something to make me love them just as much. The characters keep me laughing and rooting for them. Exceptionally talented cast, attention to production design, and thoughtful game play all make for a great mental escape into this other magical world. Can’t wait for new episodes and so many more seasons!!

Top notch production — I love the little sound effects and music cues that really add to the outrageous characters and situations.

I can’t remember during this last episode who said they hated Brynn but FOR SHAME! He’s tiny and creepy, he speaks like an ASMR video, he’s all together completely unhelpful — and I am here for this special little boy 🤣! This is by far my current favorite podcast. Freaking fantastic from the quality of the players & DMs to the production value. Please don’t ever stop or I will be very sad.

I picture brynn as the little elf who wanted to be a dentist in the old Rudolph movie. The one with the Yukon guy who said “BUMBLES BOUNCE.” I’m pretty toasted but I love him and I hope he gets to follow his dreams.

i wish i could get into dnd more myself but none of my friends really want to play, but ive always wanted to be in an all girls dnd campaign and this show lets me live vicariously thru these housewives!!

Every step of the way, from the content warning up front to the real world justification of magic in the forgotten realms, such a fun concept, looking forward to the inevitable crossover episodes. I’m not a Housewives fan, but this was very funny & entertaining… AND THE MAPS!!!! Omg the maps hahahaha they are everything and love them for this show!

I came over on the Rec of Dungeons & Dads and am not a housewives person. Episode 3 hooked me. 1 & 2 were really good but the characters found their voice in Ep. 3, cliche that it was a shopping episode but I was rolling!

Hilarious cast, and a brilliant premise! If you like Dungeons and Daddies, it is like that, except the DMs prepare in advance.

The perfect podcast if you like loose dnd and heavy roleplay shows like Dungeons and Daddies. I personally think the podcast could use a little more out of game play conversation to get to know the players better! I think it would really help cementing each character in the mind and not forgetting them (as there are a lot of people on the show)

My wife and I are loving this show! She knows all of the housewives references and I’m teaching her the D&D play rules. Can’t wait for the next episode!!!
