Great to have something Ohio specific
It’s really nice to have a podcast specific to what’s happening in Ohio. I appreciate that in what I’ve heard things sound like a straight news report, there are alternative positions explained and things move on. I do with there were some longer form episodes or depth and history on the topics that you got into every once in a while. Maybe specials. A relatively small gripe but the tagline “everything you need to know to sound smart and impress your friends” sounds incredibly belittling. I’m listening so I can plan for the future, get a little more info on what/who to vote for, etc.

    Terrific
Tight, informative, an easy way to keep tabs on what is happening in the state house. Haley BeMiller has a funny deadpan delivery. She sounds like your seen-it-all office mate stopping by to give you the gossip.

Good content, not good audio quality
The content, structure of the show is fine. It’s straight to the point. The audio quality is bad sometimes. Audio sounds underwater.

OPM, I was skeptical due to USA Today umbrella
But kudos to staff investigating team coverage of HB6 corruption.Interviews are well done and revelatory

    Informative
    Keep up the good work

    Republicans get a pass
The occasional guest are republican. They get no pushback on their positions. The last one was a pro issue 1 guy. The reporters just accepted what he said as true and correct.

Great rundown of Ohio specific legislative news!
  • SeriousNews
    Excellent Local Journalism
This is the kind of reporting we citizens need to ensure your elected leaders are held accountable ( on all sides of the aisle). This is a fabulous summary of things going on at the Ohio statehouse and judiciary and allows one to identify those things one would like to dig into further. Keep up the good work OPE team!

    Great show for Ohio politics
This is a very informative podcast for anyone who is interested in Ohio politics. My only complaint is that the episodes are only 15 minutes long!
  • RCD125x3
    Interesting!
This podcast clearly explains the confusing issues, policies & corruption embedded in Ohio politics. The representatives at the state level so often fly under the radar and this pod helps listeners understand what their local reps are doing and the rights that are at risk if we don’t pay attention.

    An Essential Program
Politics in Ohio is already quite opaque. This podcast helps shed much needed light on the horrible mess that is our state’s politics.
  • AnnaStaver
    Fun and informative
This podcast packs a ton of information into a short window. And it doesn’t take itself too seriously. I’d recommend giving it a listen.
