PuduKakaThe bestEasily the best podcast ever, how they tell the stories and all the effects are top tier.

ExistentialiWritingThe repeated usage of "unbeknownst", "interestingly enough", and "anyways" cheapens the otherwise interesting narrative for me. Also, implying decisions made by individuals in these stories (not during the commission of crime) is one in which they were "forced" lacks all nuance. "She was forced to move into a shelter", "he was forced to find a different job". Life happens and tough decisions must be made to adapt, sometimes resulting in a lesser standard of living. One can be forced into a car during a kidnapping, but saying someone was "forced" to sell their home for example is naive and lacks accountability imo.

SmallMomoftwoOne Really Great PodcastThe stories that this couple shares is amazing! They hit all the details, they take their time with the production of their podcasts. Plus they give plenty of relatable content that involves this story they are sharing. To tell a story that is over 2hrs , most podcasters won’t do it, but Murder In America, they do it! And they do it for us!! The listeners. Thank you for everything you all do for your fans.

tinobabe24Great showfound this show and love it

ayodude__Has became midI’ve been listening for over a year now and the production has became lazier and lazier as the episodes have progressed, it seems like they don’t listen to the final product because if they did they would notice how certain lines repeat, certain audio is cut off. It’s just the little thing that are annoying.
-
XxxfftPlagiaristsThey copied the “Broomstick Killer” episode from Timesuck. Certainly parts are almost word for word.
-
althibbieGreat True Crime podcastThis podcast is one of my faves, but it needs much better editing. Putting ads in the middle of a sentence and playing whole segments twice makes it difficult to follow.
-
SueBeeHoney63Excellent ResearchA friend sent me the link to Murder In America. Excellent researchers. Very detailed and tell the cases with respect of the victims.

SomethingforalwaysLazy Editing & Vain HostsThe editing has gotten awful on this, used to like it. Now the audio will skip, or lines will repeat. Originally when I listened to this show, it didn’t bother me that much when they would promote items or themselves but now I feel like every episode Collin is begging people to check out his other podcast or to give them reviews and when he talks about himself it’s always in a braggadocious way.
-
msad3Lazy ProductionGoodness, do better. Repetition of audio files and I gotta ask, do ya listen to them? Pronunciations are said correctly in sources but butchered by hostess. Yikes

iR242Stumbled On This By ChanceStumbled on this show by chance and immediately fell in love with it. The show is in depth and it keeps my attention straight through it’s written really good. For me to listen to a podcast the hosts voices and the sound/music of the show as to be good and this show gets 10/10

GiocomomoGreat podcastExtremely compelling and I recommend for all true crime lovers

RA1280Amy lynn bradleyJust a note. the dad won the cruise through work no? Wasnt mentioned. Also she bought * a dog, not adopted it. Language matters.
-
great app for video editingStarted off strongStarted off strong but now feels like they rely too much on interrogation audio or other audio. I find myself rolling my eyes a lot now when Colin speaks.
-
samsoudersGreat content, but ads have become more and more frequentI’ve listened for years happily. But lately, it’s literally every 5 minutes I’m listening to ads. I understand having to monetize, but when it reaches the point where there is just as much ad time as there is show time, it gets to be too much.

KotLC&HPfanLunaLovegoodSadAll of these are sad. They’re told well though. I’ve gone through a lot of suffering, but these things go beyond my emotional capacity. How do these people do it?
-
katircat90My favorite podcast!Courtney & Colin put out the best episodes! They always get straight to the story and don’t ramble. Any true crime fan would love this podcast!
-
GirlNextDoor1989I hate the interviewsEverything about this show is great except for the long interviews and police interrogation clips. Please just stick to the storytelling. We don’t want to hear interviews from family.

BeeCuzThatsWhy👍🏾Great research & pod…

Cat and kitten lover0946Dominated by speculation & personal biasI’ve listened to many of the episodes, and the biggest take away from the entirety of the podcast is that much of what’s presented is speculative at best. Episode 178-179 and today’s follow up episode (3/7/25) show tremendous bias regarding the victim’s husband and law enforcement. The entire part of the podcast where they’re talking about having collected evidence that law enforcement failed to gather because they never searched the husband’s home, shows complete ignorance to chain of custody, rule of law, 4th amendment protections for everyone, including those accused of criminal activity, etc. Just because someone is thought to have committed a crime does not mean there is actual probable cause for a judge to sign off on a warrant to search and seize someone’s house or property. On top of this, the warrant would need to define certain artifacts law enforcement is searching and possibly seizing if found. Just because someone believed a crime happened, does not mean a warrant will be written or approved and it’s definitely not a blank canvas, regardless of what these “documentary/investigative” podcasters have seen on Law and Order or CSI. I’ve had enough of this junk show. Unfollow. Remove Downloads.

lmhdancer78Pretty graphic and that’s why I love itThe title says it all

Cesar-2-DopeMy peace timeI love listening to Murder In America. I love how detail they go into their stories I will documented it is . Look forward to every Friday from a new episode of Murder In America.

ZatoviyonGood podcast but occasionally lazyI was an avid listener for some time but eventually unfollowed. The Browens do a good job of telling a detailed account of the murders they’re covering which makes for enjoyable listening, but for me, I can’t get into the long audio clips (police interrogations, court room audio, etc) they sometimes rely on. It gives those episodes a lazy feel when they’ve proven they’re more than capable of telling a story in their own words. It’s overall a great show, the Albert Fish episode is a must listen for any true crime fan.
-
PlasticwoodGood, but one thing…I am a long time listener and love this podcast so much. The story telling and added sound effects are top tier. My only complaint is that god awful theme song. It gives Casio keyboard mixed with Transylvania ghost story. It’s. So. Bad.

Okayyyy1991Number 1I listen to several true crime podcasts among others and I can’t believe I’m just now finding MIA. Top tier research! You guys do a great job and I’m glad you don’t use alternate wording like unalive and grape. SMH. Anyway. Yay!!!

Joanna KendallA New Fav of MineI’ve been listening to this show for about a month now. I think the writing is very good and the details add to the real life intensity of the cases they discuss. It can be very graphic so maybe not some people’s cup of tea. I love the deep dives, and multiple part episodes. I work at a surgical pathology lab and listen thru AirPods while I am at work. I do skip the episodes involving children, however I highly recommend the podcast overall!

Jenn McFTop true crime podAs a regular true crime podcast listener, Murder In America remains my favorite podcast. I appreciate that they just get into the story without all the extra fluff. Sometimes I’m just not in the mood for the banter. Not to mention their voices are very nice to listen to, Courtney especially has a soothing and even tone. And for the people who also get the ick from mouth sounds or little things in the way people’s voices are, this is a great choice. Please never stop, love ya so much.
-
WHJJYUGreat podcastI’ve been listening to this podcast for years. Definitely one of my favorites. Love you guys!
-
BoredGirl69716My favoriteThe stories they cover are done so well and they do great work and research. I love the juxtaposition of their voices and how they use that during the pod. Every case makes me jaw drop at some point
-
NightMother23Well researched; poorly receivedI’m not sure how I feel about this. I appreciate that the topics are well researched and clearly stated in a respectful manner. I appreciate the way that certain topics are approached so as to dissuade prejudice. I don’t appreciate the need to use adjectives that hit home how gruesome a murder is, as if we aren’t already aware that a murder is gruesome and harrowing, along with making it a theatrical production. The podcast is borderline disrespectful. Just because you are doing the bare minimum of acknowledging the victims, doesn’t give you the right to literally set the scene. Who wants to feel as if they were actually present for such a traumatic event?
-
Vader006Best True Crime ShowThe detail that you provide is amazing. The presentation of the information is not like any other show. The account of each events is very clear and easy to follow.

Thanks for all your hard work in sharing these stories and people can see how off and crazy some evil awful people can be ! Great warning to be mindful of who we let into our lives!

Kristen AhmedFaveI’ve been listening for years, better than dateline. My husband occasionally will do true crime podcasts with me and this is also his favorite.

Snatchy LopezShtbagsThe title says it all.

NNC59fiftyHosts add their personal political agendas into storiesThe stories are good but there are a lot of editing mistakes in the audio like weird long pauses, or repeated sentences. But the biggest thing is every story has a part where the hosts add their own political opinions / agendas into the story which makes it uncomfortable.
-
Nicknamez-aTFH Sam send me here.Five stars, they go into it with lots of depth and detail. You can tell the time and work they put into the episodes.

BuffyLynn-HBeen listening awhile…There are great some stories and interesting things added in throughout each podcasts. Stories I know well have facts added that are new to me. Colin has a great narrator voice which is easy to listen too. Courtney’s voice however starts to get distracting at times. She already has a baby voice which I can usually get past but if she’s been speaking a while you can literally hear that she hasn’t swallowed & has too much saliva in her mouth. It’s very distracting & the only reason I can’t give 5 stars.
-
blueyefultowerFactual and Sensitive CoverageReally impressed with your Uvalde shooting coverage. It was respectful to the victims and facts. Thank you for doing it.
-
lpnorton33Excellent PodcastThis podcast has no fluff and is thorough and interesting.

Indigo AvalonExceptional true crime podcastI found MIA a couple of months ago and have been binging it religiously ever since. It’s obvious how much time, research, and passion Collin and Courtney put into creating this show. They cover fascinating cases (many famous ones, but also many obscure ones that deserve to be more widely known) and what I appreciate the most is how they put so much emphasis on humanizing the victims and survivors of violent crime. I think that some of the theatrical aspects were a bit over the top in the early episodes, but it’s clear that their editing and presentation have grown a lot over the years. Personally — though I know it might not appeal to everyone — I really love when they discuss the paranormal elements to certain cases, and that it’s handled with a lot of sensitivity. I’m not sure where the negative reviews about them only covering Texas cases are coming from, as they have hundreds of episodes spanning the entire country. (Texas also has a lot of high-profile cases that make for great fodder for a true crime podcast.) I also want to say something to the reviewers complaining incessantly about all of the ads in the show: I’m not sure if y’all know this, but ads are how podcasters and other content creators make money. And before you say that a podcast should be a passion project offered for free: do you have a any idea how much work it takes to make a quality podcast? All of the hours and days spent researching, writing, producing, and editing? Especially considering that most podcasters also have day jobs and other responsibilities? It is the height of entitlement to demand that content creators take no monetization for the labor of love that goes into making their product (and a podcast is a product) just so *you* don’t have to sit through ads, WHICH YOU CAN LITERALLY SKIP OVER. (The horror of taking 10 seconds to skip an ad! Oh, how terribly inconvenient!) If ads really bother you that much, you can join the Patreon and pay for the ad-free version. Otherwise, either don’t listen or find a way to deal with it like an adult, and stop devaluing the work of creators by demanding they work for free.

byebye20/20Murder In America.I absolutely love this podcast and would recommend it to anyone. It is true crime at its very best. I’m in my 60s and my girls in their 30s. We all look forward to Friday when new episodes are released. Even their husbands have become Murder In America fans. Keep up the fantastic work!
-
Chippewa1976Murder in Texas…I mean AmericaDo you ever venture outside of Texas for your stories? Narration is a bit blase. Maybe try some feeling versus just reading me a story you found in a Texas newspaper.
-
cbdteacherDon’t miss out!I’m very picky about my crime podcasts and MIA has passed the test with flying colors! There is no small talk at the beginning just straight to the point. Well thought out and so interesting!!
-
Task Force JeffersGood content, so left leaning it could “capsize”Content is well researched and presented, however, it is very obvious of the political leanings. Yikes! It’s like if MSNBC did a true crime podcast.
-
tml43AwesomeSuperb the stories the details, we the listeners get to hear the full stories. Every gory detail, even how officials continue to fail at protecting us, the people they took an oath to protect. I am very proud to be part of the MIA family
-
