    Fave podcast
I really enjoy listening to true crime and this is one of my favorite podcasts. I think Annie does a great job and I will keep listening. If you don’t like her you can unfollow, no one is forcing you to listen.

    Austin Metcalf Case
I have been a fan of this podcast for 2+ years. I must say, that I have never seen so much bias related to a case than I have with this case. All information provided shows a one sided story that favors Austin. In no way is his death right however, if you do not have all the facts then it is best to not cover the case until you do. I knew about 5 minutes in that the bias was clearly there! I am so disappointed.

    Exciting new find!
I love Annie and how she tells us details and facts of cases. This podcast has become my new and consistent go to for true crime. Annie and the network has also done a really great job covering the Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell trial. Keep up the great work! Also, Annie doesn’t overuse the word disgusting and I can’t help giggling along with Annie over Chad’s nickname “Storm”! My only complaint is that I really wish she would give a better heads up on graphic violence, especially SA and animal cruelty. Even just a “hey, if you want to skip ahead the next 30 seconds”. The Wichita story was hard to listen to and I assumed something would happen to the pet but I didn’t give myself enough time to skip unfortunately.

    Please help me understand…
My biggest question is why would law enforcement put an injured/dead body in their front yard? They go to all of the trouble to get so many people in on the cover up but a simple thing would be put the body somewhere else, wouldn’t it? If Karen were not a wealthy, educated woman, I think she would already be convicted. Occam’s razor: a drunk person hit a guy or every professional involved was in on it and put their job and career on the line to cover it up ?

    Love the content
Annie is great. Karen Read coverage is fair and factual.

    The Best!
Annie, you’re awesome! My husband discovered you on YouTube and I’ve been hooked ever since. Now that I listen to podcasts, you’re my go-to! You’ve talked me through hours of cleaning my house and other mundane tasks. Also, you resemble my sister randomly. Thanks, true crime bestie!

    Karen Read Trial Updates
With Alayna being in the courtroom I expected her to give details we wouldn’t get otherwise. Like audience facial expressions or more importantly jury facial expressions. Do they look confused, are the believing the witnesses while talking, do they look annoyed when the judge makes comments? Fell like the updates are reviews that we could get just from watching the live. I just expected more given she is in person.

    Hiiiii
I have watched you since you started YouTube. I love you!! I just like when you do a whole episode of one case and not multiple cases in one episode. I love when you go in depth with just one case. Other than that. I love your podcast and YouTube channel❤️

    Thank you
This podcast has really made a huge difference in my life! I appreciate your opinions and wonder if you would ever consider doing a deep dive on OJ Simpson?!?

    Read
I agree with another reviewer. You seem biased in Reads favor.
  • PodcastJunkie1984
    Austin Metcalf
This was some of the most biased reporting I have ever heard… unfollowed. Racist Texas and a black boy walking into the wrong tent of entitled children. I can only imagine the words exchanged. Plus the deceased felt entitled and protected enough to put his hands on someone??? No, he didn’t deserve to die, but let’s not act like there isn’t more to the story. All witnesses are people who will never tell the direct truth of what occurred…
  • truecrimeanon52
Thanks for sharing, but do better.
STOP covering crimes that have not been tried in court if you cannot provide both sides of a case. Not all evidence is public, you do not have all of the facts and you are just stirring the pot.

    Poor sound quality
I got 10 minutes into Karen Read part 1 and had to stop. The sound quality wasn’t great and every sentence had the word “ummm” in it. It drove me nuts so I bailed. Maybe it was just a bad episode.

    Favorite show
This show has become my number one favorite. I love the weekly updates on cases. Not to fond of the new voice summarizing the Karen Reed trial because I come here for Annie!
  • horsegirljie
    Interesting but biased
It would be great to hear trial coverage that isn’t obviously biased toward one side. The KR trial coverage is full of comments that show bias toward the defense. Just give the facts and let people draw their own conclusions.

    Karen Read
I love listening to your podcast - but your recap of “Karen Read “ trial is so bias. The fact that your reporter is there as a guest of the Read family - says it all. If u report on the trail please just report the facts minus your personal opinions. Please let your listeners decide for themselves. 💙💚💙
  • he is lying
    Lots of great detail
Great recaps, but would love it if slowed down the talking so we can catch it all. Hard to keep up. But, man it’s nice to have chance to hear about the trial. Thanks

    Compelling voice
Annie Elise knows how to tell a story. I enjoy listening and admire her for going where no one else dares: Girlfriend Nicole in Watts murders and the Austin serial killer. My complaint is that defense attorneys, Jose Baez in Casey Anthony trial for example, is a brilliant attorney not someone to be derided. Our constitution allows for a great defense even if you/we may believe someone is guilty. Don’t demean the attorneys. If you want to lay blame because Kasey went free? That’s on the prosecutors. That said, this pod is entertaining.

    True Crime 🌟🌟🌟🌟
I don't usually write reviews. I drive about 4 to 500 miles a week. Needless to say I listen to a lot of poscasts. I have a few favorites that I subscribe to monthly. I'm very picky about my true crime podcasts. I found this podcast last year and since then I've blown through every episode and I am now a subscriber. she is the perfect blend of serious and talk to you like a real person like she's your friend. Without a whole lotta joking and laughing because these are serious topics. She does it so well. and a testament to her relatability. I've bought merch I've subscribed to your LTK. My best friend and I listen to you together while we get ready in the morning 2 to 3 times a week. Honestly keep doing what you're doing because I've gone back and listen to the beginning episodes and they're just as good🤍

    Addictive but can be annoying
Love the fact you really explain the stories, and the amount of research you do!! And the fact that you state “just my opinion” I get that! Your adds are very long though and too often.. Adore your deep dives!!!! Also, the person you have providing recaps on the Reed trial- please stop with the “ums” it’s killing me!
  • CMR8893
Weird choice during lesbian visibility week
I’m not sure if the host chooses her topics or if she has a team who chooses for her but I was really disappointed that she chose a story about an obsessive stalker who also happened to be a lesbian during lesbian visibility week. It felt extremely passive aggressive and bordering on hateful especially since she never mentioned once that attraction to the same sex isn’t inherently bad or wrong. She could have reported on this particular case any other week but chose it during lesbian visibility week so I can’t help but feel there was a motive behind it.

April 2025 Hi Annie am Walter from Minnesota I just started listening to your podcast last night I do a nighttime linehaul run as a truck driver so I get to listen to your show which is very entertaining. You do a great job on your YouTube channel and now I get to listen to the podcast. Both are great. Keep up the great work. You do a great job.

    Love Annie
Great podcast, would never give a bad rating it’s wonderful and Annie is the GOAT, the journalist working the Karen trial needs a bit more training she was driving me insane and this was the first time I couldn’t listen. If you’re just starting here don’t take it as what the show normally is like
  • RoseBee3
    Good deep dives
This is a good channel. I like the super current case deep dives rather than older unsolved cases like some true crime. One negative, there’s no give back to organizations victims or pledging toward victims resources in the community. I think at minimum some of the live show tickets or merch income should be shared with specific organizations or victims resources. It would be a way for the listeners to give back for the shared content.

    Read trial
Love the trial coverage but the person who is there at the trial covering needs to polish up her feedback to you; they said “um” soooo many times I had to stop listening. Didn’t seem prepared properly.

    Recap
Elena’s trial recap is terrible, I had to stop listening. Sorry Annie!

    Great podcast BUT
I am soooo sick of hearing about Karen Read! Multiple episodes are about the same person sometimes and that’s my only con.

    Timely recaps
I stumbled upon this podcast by accident and I’m so happy I did! She talks about true crime that is in the headlines and gives updates and recaps almost right away.

    White Girl Privilege
This is so obviously biased regarding the Karen Reid first week summation. I thought it would be both sides presented equally, but oh my God it is so obvious that you guys believe this woman is innocent, even though it is so obvious that she hit him.
  • Rose2012**
    Karen Read
I like your case updates, but, honestly? Your Karen Read opinion is whack. There is no coverup - she (hopefully) accidentally in a drunken state, hit him. Listen to the voicemail again - she’s scary. There is no possible way that many people could keep this alleged “conspiracy” a secret. Liked this podcast until this episode.

    LOVE MY NEW CRIME BESTIE!
I love love love listening to Annie! She’s funny, well organized and makes me laugh regardless of all the tragedies on this podcast.
  • ConCon94
I can’t hear half of it
So, I really do enjoy the show and the way these stories are told. My only issue is the host talks WAAAAY to quietly most times. I work outside and if any traffic goes by, I can’t hear anything being said. I wish the host would either speak louder, closer to the mic, or edit the audio and raise the volume. Other than that, I love the show!
  • AngelaFromCA
    Karen Reed killed her boyfriend
So clear she hit him while drunk. Be on the right side of this and don’t believe the conspiracy theories.
  • QT618
    Better than ALL the rest!!
GUUUUURRRL! Once again you have absolutely knocked it outta the ballpark on your Deep Dive on Karen Read!! The research, the facts confirmed, the unbiased delivery was so very well put into chronological order and explained so specifically that I have a much more clear understanding of everything happening up until now. Thank you and your team for such professionalism. It really shows that you are so familiar with everything you talked about and not just reading a script someone else wrote. You always give us your ALL and I for one APPRECIATE all your and your teams hard work!! Thank you!! Thank you!!

    Can’t get enough
I listen to this this podcast whenever I’m in the car! I love the feel and the regular conversation that Annie has! She brings a nice personal touch to what normally is an awful subject matter… I love your energy and I will listen until you stop making episodes! I’m so thankful I found this… keep it up! And thanks again!

    Entertaining Podcast
Pretty fun to listen to and makes it easy to stay up to date on popular cases. The host has some out of touch comments sometimes but that’s just the older upper middle class white woman lol not too bad. Only critique probably stop apologizing for swearing anyone who can listen to stories of murder, SA and all that can handle some bad words. The tangents are hilarious definitely will keep listening
