Late of the Rings

23

A podcast is never late, nor is it early, it arrives precisely when it means to. A new podcast for an old game: Lord of the Rings The Card Game (LCG). A lighthearted yet informative exploration of the game we adore. Featuring discussion on cards & quests, our various adventures in and out of Middle-earth, as well as offering advice for new players and veterans alike.

    Fantastic pod
My only qualm with this podcast is that it’s unfinished. I much prefer this LOTR LCG podcast over others like Card Talk because they tackle the game in a progression style. Their banter is great and I love how they go about discussing cards, strategies, etc. If you ever find time to finish the series John and Em, I implore you to do so!

Perfect companion podcast to the game
John and Em are very fun to listen to and provide a great insight into this game from a newcomer’s perspective. They also cover many commonly misunderstood rules. I adore their ability to interpret the thematic designs of the cards, proving that this game is more than just a deckbuilding puzzle to solve provided you slow down and use a bit of imagination.

    A Great Resource
I’m just getting back into the LOTR LCG and found this podcast, which has been a great companion to my forays into soloing these quests. It’s been a fantastic resource and I sincerely hope they continue producing episodes.

Amazing resource for a new player
Being late to the game, (even later than Late to the Cards!) this is such a helpful podcast. The information is great, you are super entertaining, and I hope you keep going! I really appreciate your desire to share what you know with the community, thanks! Sincerely, A closet fan of Brok Ironfist

    1. Buy the game. Play it. A lot. And listen to these two buddies talk and laugh their way through the game. Loads of fun. A must addition to your library.

I really enjoy the banter betwixt these two fellows. They are humorous, they have interesting things to say, and they know at least a little of which they speak. 😜

I’ve only listened to one episode, but they had me laughing and falling in love with this game all over again!! I’ve been playing it for nine years, so the podcast is great fun for veteran players as well.

A perfect podcast for LOTR LCG newcomers!
Having just started playing the Lord of the Rings: The Card Game about a month ago, I’ve noticed that even nearly a decade after the game came out, there is still a steady stream of new players like me just starting the game. It’s refreshing to have a new podcast discussing the game from a contemporary point of view, but with new players in mind. The perfect podcast for players like me! Keep it up, guys!
