Through the looking glass for the 21st century

Absurdist-end-of-the-world-comedy at its best. It helps to listen to a few to get this gist. I love when her guests have clearly been following a thread in the show and then keep it going.

It took me a bit

It took me a and episode or two to really get into this podcast. The post-apocalyptic conceit was a bit confusing, but I’m such a big fan of The Bugle and there were enough hilarious moments to keep me listening. Now I’m addicted! Clever satire of our contemporary world, set in a bizarre future! Brilliant!

Downgrading to six stars

It has come to my attention that this podcast regularly offers public advertisements that encourage the destruction of what could only be considered the least nutritious of acceptable human consumptuates. While I am delighted by destruction, I am saddened by the inevitably higher blood sugar levels. I would recommend all users of this product to disregard such salaciously hateful and actively problematic advertisement messages.

Making an alternate reality to boot strap a podcast and make the satirical news better is wonderful. It’s always short and sweet and good one at a time or in packs of 10 or so.

The Last Post is up a navel that is inside another navel. All of the jokes reference earlier jokes, such that you have to have listened from the beginning to understand it.

Utter hilarity

The quickest, most ridiculous way to turn my mood around every day. Alice is deliciously funny and the guests are all such experts in their fields. I nearly choked from laughing listening to the romance novel synopsis, but a half a glass of water cleared that right up.

Provides some of the most useful reporting you will find, and is certain to be seen as one of the most important news outlets of the 2020s. Also, Alice has the most delightful giggle in the world.
