sreviePMore!!More please!!
-
beccalc15Like itI like this doctor and her opinion. The episodes are quick though and not a lot of detail but I like hear perspective instead of just an uneducated opinion. I wish there were more shows n more details
-
ReeRee68Fresh and intriguing!!Wish there were a lot more episodes!! This is very original and super interesting. I binged the whole series in one day.
-
Juliebug1962BoringThe host has no personality. Doesn’t really cover a lot.
-
emilyschmemilymIs she really a doctor?!The way she speaks about the subjects sounds extremely unprofessional...she’s not clinical at all and basically sounds like she’s rolling her eyes the whole time.
-
qtpiegamerA Doctor’s Point of ViewIt’s awesome to hear a doctor’s point of view rather than an armchair detective’s. She gives her professional opinion and first impression. I love that we are finally exploring why rather than who as that is already solved in this podcast. I wish they made more podcasts like these.
-
Awhalen1227Great idea, problematic languageI was so excited for the content, but the narrator is continually making excuses, blaming domestic violence/murder victims, and using degrading language towards (predominantly female) victims. Pretty sick and I hope that the producers can address these issues going forward.
-
MommmaG9DisappointedEpisodes very short and didn’t include anything much. I mean you said you were going to tell us why they murdered... but didn’t hear anything like that.

jjjhhhhhhttttttNeeds improvementI love the concept of this podcast and was very excited to listen. However, I have a few constructive critiques after listening. I was hoping for more in depth questioning of the subject. I was very surprised when they did not outright ask the lawyer if he had remorse for his victim. Or if he thinks of his victim often. Or if he feels he received the correct punishment for his crime. I would of also liked to hear him talk more about the mother son relationship. Has his mother acknowledged her part in his mental illness? Does she communicate and support him? What happened to his sibling? I also felt the episodes ended abruptly without a conclusion or final thought that tied everything together. Maybe give the offender a chance to “say something to their victim” Overall, you have a great concept for a show but need to iron out the edges to become a more successful podcast. I enjoyed the episodes despite these critiques. Thank you for your production.

PodcastOponionsGood podcastAlthough a little bit simplistic and judgy from a psychological perspective.
-
kloeyblueThey are exactly where they should beSo listen to all six and the fact that not one of them admits to their guiltSo unsatisfying unfortunately we all are exactly where they should be
-
Birmingham in the 60'sWhile quarantinedThis was amazing!! Loved listening to each episode while I got some much needed walking in. Intriguing stories. Great job to all of you!! Hope there are more episodes in store!!!
-
tiatoriThe brain never forgetsIt amazes me each time I listen to crime podcasts how astounding they are. But this podcast is an in your ear exploration; specific is the tragedy of Bohn & his girlfriend. Don’t know if I believe Bohn but I once heard a talk on YT that delves into the psyche; how childhood trauma at some point in time resurfaces. Good podcast!

tate.sergWhat the heckThis is sooo good but gone😔!! Wish you’d come back

cvalwebDisappointingThis podcast is judgmental and disappointing. I was cringing while listening. Great concept, poor execution.
-
@m4gunny_More!!My fiancé and I love listening to these. Please make more ASAP!!
-
jazzyjjcharI need more!!MORE! MORE! MORE!!
-
AngelNinja22She’s a professional?! Can’t tell. The description of this podcast is misleading. The only psychoanalysis she gave was when she calls the murderer a “bad seed” and a person “only a mother could love” (in the first episode). There’s no way this woman is a working professional. It’s gossip and judgement mixed with bad music. No psychology here! Worst podcast I’ve ever heard.
-
Terrible TerrenceThe mind of a murdererI was very interested in this series and particularly the analysis of the individual being interviewed I come from a family with many distortions and just functionalities and I have a son unfortunately who seems to fit some of these profiles I would like to talk to this doctor
-
_leesh87I NEEEEEEEED moreWe need current cases!!!!
-
namesralltknMore!I just discovered this and I need more!!
-
Fish_MongerNo SubstanceHollow, unpolished. The host has the vocabulary, annunciation and depth of a high school cheerleader. Doesn’t even tell how the perps got caught. No analytical skills. No ability of conveyance. This was a complete waste of time and resources.
-
Kaden100Too arbitrary. I was done after episode 1.I read the review, and it sounded exactly like what I wanted: Analyzing the mindset and situations of a killer. What I got, was a woman who used clipped and cropped audial interviews and inserted them in a context that supported the opinion and idea she wanted to put upon the listener. I was done after the first episode.
-
garzangelicathe mind of a tabloidsensasionalistic recounting of the murder. no insights.
-
kristine💋Boring - couldn’t really get into itThe first 2 episodes were interesting.. but then it got boring after that. She doesn’t really open the mind of a killer like the title says.
-
AshestoooashesLike concept - not into the biased sideGreat concept. Great sound quality. What would make this better is telling the story factual first - so the audience can put together their own thoughts/feelings. Then at closing report her evaluation. That would be make this so much better. I don’t like being swayed by opinions. And as she may be a professional, one interview is hard to pick up all these and label them facts. Hope this dynamic changes.
-
FishahGive me more! This podcast is exactly what I was looking for. Please make more. Absolutely my favorite podcast by far.
-
Chenel76Love this podcastGreat voice. Great interviews. Really like the stories. When can we hear more?
-
1panHeyI heard this podcast probably 2015 or 16. I see so many people referencing serial , like it’s at all the same? This is an actual doctor speaking actual knowledge. Not just drummed up drama like the serial podcasts.. I wish they would update this series. FYI I don’t not dislike the serial podcast, just annoyed at all the people comparing this to that.
-
blasianbriCouldn’t even finish episode 1.I found her side commentary annoying and, I guess possibly understandably so, highly judgmental. Since she marketed this as a criminal psychologist interviewing criminals, I was expecting more discussion of psychology with actual reasoning behind it rather than “Who undresses their mother in a bathtub? Sounds sexual to me.” I’m giving it two because I think the concept was okay, but the execution left everything to be desired for me
-
Leahanna mBRING THIS BACK!!!!This is an amazing cast! It’s like watching an ID show. Very detailed and the host is wonderful; well spoken and excellent insights. She brings you into that room with the murderer. 5 stars. I just re-listen to it every few months.
-
smellthegloveInteresting, but...This is an interesting podcast but the dramatic sound effects and music are unnecessary and trivialize the subject matter.
-
Jules the BritBrilliantThis is intelligent and perfect for the genre. Although the host is highly educated she so easy to listen to and asks the questions that I would want to ask. Thanks and keep bringing this information to us.
-
HybsjskDo not support this.If I could give this 0 stars I would. It is deeply irresponsible, and I hope that she is not actually a practicing physician because she could only do more damage
-
shnikiesjbsReallyHer horrible vocal fry makes this podcast unlistenable. The audio quality, audio differences from mic to mic is dumb. This is NOT Serial, bad knockoff.
-
Tvd1012Excellent.I have enjoyed each episode and am sad there are not more! The interviews are interesting in and of themselves, but the context Dr. Ward provides is incredibly insightful. This is a great listen for anyone interested in learning about the WHY behind a killing.
-
HghdjdThe host is horrible! The stories seem interesting but I couldn't get past the condescending and unprofessional tone of the host. She definitely ruins what could be a very interesting podcast.
-
Bookshelves91Nice job!I really enjoyed the fact tha Dr. Michelle Ward discussed cases that aren't necessarily known or are famous cases. I am little sad that there are only 6 episodes. I wish there were more.
-
Tallbabydoll0126LoveGreat Podcast!! I need more!
-
CyfdguEngagingReady for more!

Brady TyroneHost is inexperienced at bestThe "psychologist" is not very good at her job. She enters the conversation 100% convinced everything they say is a lie. And She is particularly hard on Women. She immediatley assumed Janene Patton was lying about rape, claiming she was lying after only speaking with her for 5 min. The host looks for what is wrong with them, disregarding everything they say. I found my self so annoyed when watching, because I see no point in interviewing them, if everything they say is taken as a lie. "It is obvious that he is not feeling remorse" " You can see that he is not feeling anything"- is said over and over again,
-
MissSimiOHSo good!I wish they would release the second season on podcast as well. Heck, I wish there was a 3rd season. I really like Dr. Michelle Ward and would love to hear more interviews.
-
Thanh0417CaptivatingGreat podcast! Informative and interesting!
-
Suppercatscratch747PointlessThis is supposed to get at the why but it doesn't. The interviews are unskilled and bring nothing new. I actually found myself getting angry at what was not asked. Like I said pointless and a real missed opportunity.
-
WmsaprilNeeds ImprovementI was looking forward to a more in-depth analysis from a mental health professional, but she asked leading questions and missed out on opportunities to find out more about the criminal's childhood and how his life experiences molded him into a person capable of heinous crimes. I would like to see Dr. Ward weave together the various factors that might contribute to an Antisocial Personality Disorder such as learning difficulties, ADHD, family history for mental illness, anger management issues, poor parenting skills, etc. I think focusing on these and other factors that contribute to future criminal behavior would be a useful public service that Dr. Ward could provide in future episodes.
-
Jennie3189BORING!!!I wanted to like this podcast so badly but it didn't happen. It's way 2 short, the woman interviews the killer for about 2 minuets and then diagnoses them?, calls them liars, and try's to asses the there stories. It's not worth your time.
