Good conversations about classic video games
I’ve been listening to RPG Fan’s podcasts for many years. I consider them to be underrated gems. Retro Encounter in particular is really good. They always have very interesting discussions around classic RPG’s. I admittedly don’t listen to every episode. I usually just listen to the episodes covering games that I’ve either played or am interested in. But it’s always an enjoyable and fascinating listen.

    Great Podcast
Been listening for years. Even if you haven't played the game they are talking about it’s always a good listen.

    . So he jumps in
I have listened to mike or monsoon for 8 years now . Love the show. Only criticism would be most of the guests other then Peter. You can tell some have either just got into rpgs very very recently and have not played many or are just bad at speaking . Mike has to finish what they are saying half way through points pretty often . I am not trying to be mean to these guests I’m sure they are amazing people and there is nothing wrong with being new to rpgs either just then you have a podcast I dunno should have major experience or maybe they don’t it’s however you run the thing it’s your show so my input didn’t really make sense there but the other point does. Some are really bad public speakers. And you can tell . Still great show I love mostly everyone as people great job. If that’s my only criticism then seriously good job .

    Terrible tastes
Would have rated lower if able to. Locking Workd Ends with You and Bloodborne!? Seriously? And removing Witcher III, (best game of the last generation), and Dragon Age Origins? This podcast became a joke with that episode.

    Impressive fan cast
These people put so much effort into their hobby, it makes me feel terrible about myself. I love it!

    Feminist host
So it’s not enough that Agrias is great or that the female characters are on equal ground as their male counterparts... get over yourself... also, fix your audio, I couldn’t listen to a minute of your FFVI episode

    First Review
Posting my first podcast review because I was so incredibly happy to see show a deep, intelligent, and funny analysis of my favorite game of all time — Suikoden 2. I really enjoyed the different perspectives, especially hearing the fresh thoughts of newbies to the series. Can’t wait for them to do Suikoden 3 and 5.

    Audio Fluctuates
Audio quality is an issue. I love the crew, but have a hard d time hearing when some people speak.

    Great depending on who's on
This podcast has a sort of rotating group of commentators. I had recently docked it down because of some staff, but that wasn't fair to the main host and the usuals. Rpgfan really is the best site for informed and knowledgeable content. That can't be argued.

RPGFan Podcasts Brought Color to the Dull Parts of My Life
i don't usually listen to podcasts, but RPGFan's podcasts are fantastic. Rhythm Encounter and Retro Encounter have made my trips to and from work something to look forward to. Rhythm/Retro Encounter have even pulled me out of my room on my days off to walk over to the neighborhood coffee shop, just so that i can listen to the podcasts on my walks there and back! RPGFan staff really know what they're talking about-- whether it's stories of artists who worked on Chrono Trigger or it's musical techniques and styles. I'm more a fan of Rhythm and Retro rather than Random because i like structure and themes, and Random seems sort of ... well, random! But Random is fun to listen to as well, because everyone sounds like they're having so much fun. Please check out RPGFan's podcasts, even if you're not really a podcast person! And thank you, RPGFan, for making me fall in love with video games all over again!

Great to have in the background
I like to have it on while I do busy work in the office. Just 4 insightful people talking about classic games.
