    Where would I be?
I’ve been a member of RE for several years and I honestly don’t know where I would be without this group of people. The local bunch here in CO are like family and we have great times together. RE has been a staple in my recovery journey since before day 1 and I look forward to Mondays so I can listen to the new episode. My “normal drinking” husband listens with me often and this has helped him to see my alcoholic behavior in a new light which in turn allows him to have more grace towards me. Thank you Paul and everyone at RE. I appreciate you. #BlueGroup💙

Sober podcasts were truly the beginning of my alcohol free journey. It was the first place I went to as I explored my sober curiosity. Not knowing where to go or what I was looking for, I literally typed in the search bar “sober motivation” and promptly both the Sober Motivation Podcast and Recovery Elevator popped up and the rest is history. I’ve learned so much and found so many resources I otherwise wouldn’t have by listening to the vulnerability graciously shared in these stories. It was the final nudge I needed to be affirmed that yes, I do want to quit forever and am at peace with and welcome whole heartedly that decision and no, what I’m feeling about my drinking is not just my own problem, but actually thousands of people are struggling in the way I am and are completely normal, every day people just trying to live life in the best way they know how. They say a problem shared is a problem halved, and I had felt so alone in my struggle until I found these podcasts. I’m 5 months alcohol free today and have never looked back, nor do I ever plan to. Best decision of my life so far. Thank you Paul for this amazing community and thank you to everyone who has bravely shared their story. Sending my love to anyone reading this, wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome here. 🫶🏼

I hear a little of myself in every persons story
Compelling stories of the brave, resilient, extraordinary people who are battling (and winning!) the shockingly sneaky world of alcohol. I am so grateful for the RE team for putting together a resource that speaks to me in a new and inspiring way every week. I listened for months before deciding I was ready to quit. The stories helped me realize I was not alone, and I was not that unusual - alcohol is ruining so many lives - and I am fortunate to have the RE podcast by my side to make sure it does not ruin mine.

Keep listening; this podcast is life changing
I have been a listener since October 2023 and I just celebrated one year alcohol free!!! I did not have a rock-bottom or have a terrible life because of alcohol, but I witnessed it’s effects dragging me down and I was done with that lifestyle. Paul and Chris and every single guest sharing their story have offered me an opportunity to reflect and get on a path that is more fulfilling than I ever imagined. Thank you for offering this podcast and this community to the world. You seriously change lives everyday with your catalogue of work and ever expanding sobriety opportunities. Thank you with my whole heart.

    Don’t quit quitting!
The first sober podcast I ever listened to when my sobriety journey started and it’s STILL front and center after 3 years and over 500 days sober. The Recovery Elevator podcast tapped into something I didn’t know I needed...connection! Who knew there were other people out there suffering like me? If you’re sober curious and want to dip your toe in the pool of sobriety, this is your home. If you’re a hardened old timer who’s been sober since the Reagan administration and you re looking for community, you’ve also found a home. We took the elevator down, now we gotta take the stairs back up!

    Invaluable Recovery Tool
I stumbled upon the RE podcast several years ago when I was feeling dark and hopeless. I was hooked within the first few minutes of listening. Hearing other people's stories and realizing that I was not alone in this struggle gave me hope. This podcast was the jumping off point for my recovery journey. I have learned so much from the hosts and the guests over the years. Anytime I am having a hard moment I can play an episode and immediately feel at ease. Each one starts with an intro that is always so thoughtful and enlightening. The RE podcast makes me laugh, cry, and just feel understood. I am so grateful for this podcast and the wonderful people who make it happen every week. And the music is fantastic!

Recovery Elevator has saved lives, maybe even yours
I can’t begin to express my gratitude for this podcast. I started listening in 2019 as I began my journey into recovery. I wasn’t successful in quitting right away but I didn’t quit trying either. This weekly podcast was and is something that I look forward to each week. Hearing the stories of others helped me stay the course despite periods of “field research.” A big thank you to Paul, Kris, and Odette for the tireless work you put in. If you are trying to quit drinking, this should be one of the first podcasts that you subscribe to!

    Great resource
I love this podcast and the wide range of stories that are shared. My only gripe is that it’s only once a week! Thank you for everything you do RE crew… it means more than you’ll ever know.

    Life Changing
This podcast is extremely informative, uplifting and helpful. Paul you are living proof of how to live a purpose driven life!!! Keep this going.

    Listen for relatable stories
Stick around for relatable stories from others who’ve struggled with alcohol. Ignore the cultish RE vibes and anything that isn’t helpful IMO.

    Lisa episode 469
I was so grateful to listen to your podcast with Lisa. I am also in my mid sixties. I retired at 60, and my drinking spiraled out of control. I knew it, but I had lost control. I listen to a sobriety podcast almost nightly, including Recovery Elevator, one of my favorites! They help a lot, but still I hadn’t heard a story similar to mine. So I thank you for featuring an older person. I’m not alone out there! I knew there had to be more who were struggling like me, at my age. I am a life-long drinker, starting in my teens. I am currently 6 weeks sober and this time I just know it’s my time!

    My biggest Tool!
Love this podcast. Was my first tool to sobriety. Listened to ever episode and now listen weekly. I will say for a while Paul was getting kinda depersonalized and robotic in his interviews but this recent one he seems back to his old interview style self!!! Keep up the amazing work you all do.

1.5 Years Sober - Thanks RE!!!
Getting sober takes a toolkit. In my early days I listened to a LOT of Recovery Elevator and still listen to new episodes each week. Along with a lot of other tools like AA and TNM I’m now 1.5 years sober. I like some other recovery shows but it’s hard to relate to someone with 15 years when you’ve only got 15 days. On the RE podcast you’ll often hear from newly sober individuals that are going through exactly what you are going through and it’s comforting. There were days when I’d listen back to back for hours and it got me through some tough moments and/or days. Thanks Paul!!

This Podcast is Saving My Life
Nothing ever worked for me before. For some reason Recovery Elevator and the associated recovery community it offers (with chats) has helped keep me sober for over a year now. I can’t say enough positive things about it.

I love how the host is easy to listen to. He asks great questions and also recaps and highlights big takeaways from his interviewees. I really like listening and learning from others, and this podcast is helping me put my alcohol use into perspective.

    List of episodes
I stumbled upon this podcast gem and I am fascinated after 4 episodes. This podcasts is non judgmental and informative. I used one of my sessions to listen to one with my therapist. She loves it too. I want to listen to all of them (project/goal) and would love to have a list of episodes. I cannot find a list that is just a lis. On the website there are graphics attached which isn’t conducive to printing. If someone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. I’m looking forward to listening to more!!!

I’m not in recovery but I work in the field and this podcast has taught me so much about my clients and even myself. There are so many nuggets in each episode, and you can tell there is love throughout the staff/community.

    Paul Churchill’s Brilliance
Paul Churchill planted a seed (this podcast) back in 2016 to create accountability for his own recovery. Since then, it has grown exponentially, and saved countless lives along the way. This podcast, and RE community, is PACKED with the most loving, caring, intelligent souls on the planet. I could NOT be more grateful for Paul’s podcast and business, Cafe RE and Recovery Elevator.

    Thank you for your service!
I love the combination of you all on the pod. Odette, you’re my favorite❤️ But wow, the latest episode with Kris and Cordell was really awesome. I admit I love the ND accents! My dad is from ND so it’s comforting. So many deal with this and Cordell is so brave to be so honest. And he’s doing so well coaching his kids and trying his best. I cried tears of joy on this one! Thank you all for saving lives 🥰

    Thank you
I decided I had enough last Saturday (10/9). This is not my first sober journey but I’m determined to make it my last. In the last 13 years I’ve been sober more than I’ve been drinking, but during the drinking times, I’ve consumed mass quantities! I love being sober! I love the knowledge I am present. I am there to enjoy my husband and children. This podcast, along with a blog I started, has given me more hope than I’ve ever had before! I can do this. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

    Neuroscience
Great episode and interview. I watched the whole YouTube interview referenced. Very helpful. Thank you for all you do. I appreciate you and this community. One concern: I ordered from Exact Nature. While it may be too soon to know if the product is helping, I had a bad ordering experience. The process is confusing and not transparent. I didn’t receive confirmation and shipping options changed once ordered. Just want to let listeners know to be careful.

    Fix the sound
Great podcast but they need to fix the sound. I can hear the host (Odette) perfectly …. but most of the time the caller has bad sound quality, therefore I’m constantly turning up and down the volume depending on who is talking.
  • John4Roces
    Master Class
Kudos to a show that connects sobriety, the choice to pursue a better life, personal growth and most importantly, the exploration of vulnerability. Odette starts each show with a message, or one could say a sermon, that imparts wisdom, shifts in perspective, and the ability to see your current state of being with more clarity. Followed by an interview each episode the podcast serves as a small vignette or window into someone’s life that while different, is all to often the same. The podcast creates a community through story telling and ultimately knowing your story is that of so many others. Each listen is an affirmation that you are walking the right path and choosing your best life.

    BRING BACK ODETTE!!
Huge mistake from Kermit to oust Odette. She is fantastic and I can’t tell you how disappointed I am to have Paul handling the podcast. I was excited to see a new episode and upset it wasn’t her voice. 1 star for Paul and 5 stars for Odette.
  • tunepood
    Odette is the best!
Recovery Elevator has always been important to me on my recovery journey. This is where I began to learn there were other people who thought and felt about drinking the way I did, even if we drank different amounts—some more, some less—and I learned that I could quit before my elevator crashed at the bottom. I started listening to Paul’s episodes before I quit and got tips and tools for making it happen, for ditching the booze. The stories remind me why I don’t drink, remind me that alcohol is sh**, and remind me I’m not alone. Odette? She rocks! She is warm, funny, smart, and loving. I am so grateful for her wisdom, authenticity, hard work, and laughter. Thank you, Odette! You are a brilliant star, and you shine as hostess, you really do. OK, eso es todo. ¡Gracias!
