Represents a Vast Variety of People
This podcast educates children on the LGBTQ+ community. It is anti-discrimination and encourages kids to do something about the world they will grow up and live in. It’s empowering!

    I love this
I try to learn about this stuff and when my parents try to explain it to me I sometimes don’t understand and this I always understand.

    Propaganda
This is very one sided for children.
  • EMAWrica
    Very one-sided
This podcast seems to push a particular political narrative to kids without their parents knowing. They literally have an episode indoctrinating kids on the issue of abortion. As an attorney, I think this pod should put out an episode on the faulty legal reasoning behind Roe, if they’re going to discuss the issue of abortion at all in a kids pod.

    Leftist Indoctrination
This podcast delivers Leftist propaganda wrapped in an easy-to-listen to, calming, and gentle blanket. It is not about “justice,” “equity,” and “inclusion,” as it purports to be; it’s pure ideology straight from the roots of a Marxist tree. It’s an attempt to “activize” kids into becoming little soldiers for the cause. It is not news anymore than the Pravda or Joseph Geobbels’ propaganda were news; it’s an outmoded playbook of washed-up ideas simply packaged in a new box. A wise and prudent parent should abstain from allowing their kids to listen to this. On a more redeeming note, the podcast is well orchestrated and easy to listen to. I’ll give it to the producer and host that it’s effective in achieving its ends. These ends, I just so happen to vehemently disagree with.

    Propaganda
    Pure propaganda, completely one-sided.

Great podcast. It’s obvious that host Matthew Winner loves books!

    Warm and insightful
I’ve listened to many many episodes as a parent, an author, a reader, and as a guest myself. I have enjoyed the warmth and curiosity with which the host, Matthew, brings out the best from his guest. And along the way, I’ve also learned so much about the creator’s inspiration, backstory, and process, about the storytelling and illustrations as well. But the best of all - Matthew’s sample read alouds - they always make me want to pick up the book right away! This is one of the most meaningful and enjoyable children’s literature podcasts!

    The stories behind the stories
One of my favorite podcasts!!! I used to work in publishing as a designer, I can’t get enough of the stories behind the stories, from authors to illustrators and agents. Children’s picture books are little pieces of art, and hearing the inspiration behind each one is captivating...I always feel heartfully connected to a new perspective after each show.

    Okay 😕
This podcast is not quite for kids I think because there is a little bit to much talking and the backround music is kind of annoying.

    Listen, laugh, learn
Insightful, creative, and grounded in respect for both creators and young readers, this thoughtfully curated series is a constant delight.

    Very good content
I love Matthew Winner’s sensitivity & deep, abiding love of children’s books. I love his enthusiasm for the books and authors he features. My one small complaint is that I wish he let guests talk more. While it’s very nice to hear his own, very heartfelt reactions to his guests’ work... as a listener, I really want to hear more of what THEY have to say.
