    Great Show
What a great show. Very informed and entertaining. Been listening for all 20 years and hope there are many more to come.

    Ep 1977
The grumpy and griping old man show that was ep 1977 turned me off this podcast. Just gripe after gripe about wah my online doesn’t tell me what books I have left to read. Gimme a break

    Change for the worse
It’s so strange that the show has lost their best hosts and communicates the reasons why so poorly. As a listener of more than 15 years, it’s really disappointing to see those in charge treat their listeners this way.

    Great podcast
    Great show. Good conversations

    Chris and Murd
Chris was the best part of the show. What exactly happened to Chris, Murd, and Ian. This is the first review I have ever written and it’s because they are gone and they should be back if you want this podcast to be worth listening to. This show is 5 star with them 2 star without.

    Classic Hosts Rule
I love that the old gang is back together and releasing episodes regularly, brings me back to the good old days

    The good hosts are gone
When they forced out Ian and then Chris and Murd left as a result of that unfairness, they lost the only three people on the show that were worth listening to. Sad, because it used to be so good.
  • CDubbya
    I miss Chris and Murd.
This is a 5 star podcast when the gang is all together. Not sure what went down but here’s hoping things go back to normal.

    Disappointed
Extremely disappointed to hear that three members who have carried this show for the last 5 years are no longer part of it. I would recommend listening to Comic Timing.

    Always a must listen
I’m a very entertained fly on the wall listening to these chaps talk about also sorts of comic related goodness. Even on topics I have no interest in (not a DC Comics reader), they still keep me engaged and entertained as the passion for the material they discuss is evident. Make sure to dig into their archives too, they’ve probably talked about that thing you thought was super cool decades ago. Good stuff - thank you!

    Talk comics, not economics
Love the comics talk but the rant about shareholders and corporations shows true, leftist, propaganda and ignorance of the way companies work. I come to this cast to ear fun stuff. You show your hatred for capitalism and ruin the mood with unreasonable, political biases. This is the first political rant I’ve heard so hopefully, you’ll steer clear of that in the future. Just talk about fun stuff, please. Sheesh.

Still One of the Best After All These Years!
Listening to the geeks is like being part of a conversation about comics with your friends. These guys really appreciate each other’s points of view, and strive to provide the audience with a variety of listening experiences: character spotlights, movie and TV reviews, top 5 lists, trivia competitions, awards shows, and good ol’ fashioned comic talk. As an educator myself, I particular appreciate the level of scholarship Chris & Murd bring to the show. If I have one complaint, it’s that on a recent episode that reviewed Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, someone brought up the introduction of Patton Oswalt’s Pip the Troll and Harry Styles’ Starfox in Volume 2’s post-credit scene. One of the geeks said he was excited to see in which direction they’d take the characters. How did no one capitalize on the opportunity to reply that any character played by Harry Styles can only go in “one direction”?! Low hanging, yet delicious, fruit, fellas! Keep up the fine work of feeding my soul with comics goodness!

    The Boys Are BACK!!!!
Such a breath of fresh air to have some episodes with Brian, Peter, and…… Pants! Now can we get Murd to join like Shane has done and that will be incredible! I like Ian but Chris is loud, whines, and bullied Pants when he was on.

    A Gem for Comic Lovers
This is absolutely an amazing podcast. I enjoy all of the hosts. It is great to see their passion for comics and non-biased look what’s going on in different entertainment genres. I can listen to most of the podcasts from beginning to the end and they get me through work and home activities. I highly recommend it!

    Love the preview episodes
Only place I’ve found to do some good deep dives into preorder solicitations. Ian is an outstanding host.

    Great Podcast
Been a listener for almost a decade. The best podcast for discussions by fans for fans of comics and geek culture.

    Excellent Comic Podcast!
This is an incredible comic book podcast. The “comic geeks” that are a part of the panel are so much fun. Not only do they have a great knowledge of the comics, comic based movies, toys, shows, etc. but they really enjoy talking with each other and are very relatable in their interactions and discussions. They make each episode feel like a group hanging out at the comic store just chatting about all things comics but in a way that no matter your interest or knowledge level, you can listen and enjoy. I learn new things with each episode, and I often find myself intrigued to try “new” comics that I have never given thought to before. I have been listening for at least ten years now, and I have not listened to a bad episode yet. This is my favorite podcast and I cannot recommend it enough. Highly recommended!

    One of the Best
Comic Geek Speak is one of the best podcasts on comics and pop culture out there. They especially shine when talking about works from the past that are near and dear to them and as a result, I find the spotlights they do to be the very best

    Consistent Quality
The show has changed over the years as new hosts have come and gone, but it’s still one of the best shows available, with knowledgeable and likable hosts who always bring their A game!
  • Uncle Slamm
    Top 3
One of the top 3 pods to listen to if you want broad & thorough coverage of the industry. Tons of great creator interviews and reviews.

One of the best comic book podcasts out there
If you are a fan of comic books, you won’t do much better than Comic Geek Speak. The highlights are the spotlight episodes that do a deep dive in a character or title; monthly previews where the cast members discuss what’s coming; “comic talk” episodes that feature a bit of everything (including the trivia segment “Muddle the Murd”); movie reviews; and more. Highly recommended.
  • Rudo1984
    Love it
Love this podcast. I honestly don’t connect with all of the hosts, but Chris and Murd are easily standouts and the reason I keep coming back. The passion and knowledge these two have is a joy to listen to. I’m a late comer to CGS, so diving into the archived episodes has also provided hours and hours of quality entertainment, especially the Spotlight episodes. Thank you all for the years of fantastic content.

    Smart. Fun. Always.
These guys are the absolute standard and have been my go to comic book pod for years. The opposite of clickbait, headline grabbing fluff, this is substance, style and shenanigans that make you feel part of the group. I saw a review that mentioned being “woke.” Lol. These guys don’t get into politics, or anything like that. I’d stop listening. These guys love comics: the characters, writers, artists … and infuse that joy into each episode. Give it a listen. And welcome to the comic book pod group you’ve been looking for! Highest recommendation!
  • The Boomerang Kid
    Best comics podcast out there!
This is by far the best comic podcast. Wish there was more episodes a month.
  • Royal Lantern
    Long time fan!
Absolutely love the show! Long time listener. Love the spotlight episodes and Previews (which always end up costing me more money in my comic orders LOL). Keep doing what you do! Best comic podcast out there by real friends getting together and talking about the pop culture world they love.
  • Tivis014
There's a reason it's one of the oldest Podcasts!
I've been a listener since 2013. If you want to learn more about a character than you ever thought you would the Spotlight episodes are the place to be! And hearing all of their collective knowledge get brought up in the movie and tv reviews is simply fascinating. The episodes where they just sit and chat about the comics they’re reading, things they’ve watched, or new toys they acquired is where it really shines however. You can tell these are people who love what they talk about and would be having these conversations even if they weren’t being recorded because they are genuinely friends. It’s rare to find shows with that kind of cohesion anymore and I can’t recommend giving them a listen to more.

One of best Comic podcasts out there
Catalog of shows that covers years and just about every category. A group of friends on the podcast makes you feel like part of the group. Love the time bubble and subject specific podcasts. Discuss comics for the love of comics - not short time speculation or investment discussion.

    Something for every comic fan
After 15-plus years, Comic Geek Speak continues to lead the pack in comic book (and other geek related material) podcasting. From immersive Spotlight On and Crisis Tape episodes to quick review Tiny Bubbles on Murd’s Time Bubble episodes, there is something for all geeks. Need tips for new reading? Check out a Previews episode. Need an in-depth movie review, they have them too…even retro movie reviews, which have prompted me to rewatch old cult-classic movies or watch for the first time! Keep it up, Geek Speakers!

    GOOD FRIENDS GOOD TIMES 😘
If you’re like me and have no close friends to share your love and appreciation and collection of those little booklets of sequential art then THESE are your new interesting friends. Time spent with them is time well spent.

    Feels like Home
Wonderful comic podcast. Super knowledgeable, but also feels like you could have a beer with them. Been listening for close to 10 years now since I got into comics! Keep up the good work!

    … jimmy kimmel
Podcast was alright, but there is about a 0% chance that people who watch jimmy kimmel aren’t full of the woke nonsense.

    Love Comparison Episodes
Just finished the Karate/Ninja theme character comparison episode. Great work! Hunting for those Jim Shooter power packed panel cliff hanger comics right now.

    SPOTLIGHTS!
Have loved this show for a long time, especially the Spotlight episodes. So much work is out into those and I’ve loved each one! Thanks gang 👏

    No thanks
Not going to lie, I love comics and could listen to podcasts on the subject all day, but when I got to the Bean Worke tangent I gave up on this one.

    CGS=😀
I get a smile on my face when I listen, every single episode. The geeks are the old comic book friends you never knew you had. Ian has done a fantastic job taking over the hosting duties. Chris, Adam, & Shane continue to expertly hash through the minutiae and grand ideas of all things comic related and lovingly referred to as geeky. My highest recommendation for this excellent show.

    Holy Moley!
I’m really enjoying the spot on Shazam. I learned about your podcast when I heard your commentary for the The Adventures of Captain Marvel and decided to check it out. So glad I did. These days I have relegated my comic obsession to just Captain Marvel?Shazam, however that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy episodes on other characters and subjects. After all, podcasts don’t take up any space in my already full bookshelf and storage box. Thanks, guys and keep up the great work.

    So much fun
I listen to a lot of Geek based podcasts. Geek101, The Daily Planet, Nerdificent, Comic Geek Speak. These guys are solid entertainment. The sheer back catalog kept me busy at my job for quite a while. Thank you.
  • flounders88
    Informative, insightful, and enjoyable
Listened for over ten years. Spotlight episodes are spectacular. Time bubble is entertaining. Crisis episodes are educational. Comic talk can be iffy at times. Seldom a bad episode.
  • SUGNURU
A few of them don’t get it
A few of these guys can’t separate the cinematic universe from that of the comics. The want the two to be more alike and complain when they are not. And for being comic book experts, a few of them still don’t understand the mcu time travel rules.
  • R Breese
    Meh
I like the insights but after I listen to most shows I walk away feeling negative about the movies they review. It feels like they have a need to play devils advocate and highlighting the negatives more than the positives.
