    Come on.
I’ve never listened to this podcast before but the first twenty minutes with Blind Boy was an ad for patreon. Please give me some content before I have to pay. Entertain me or inspire me and I’ll gladly pay. Come on lads.

    Excellent
I’m from Ireland but living in North Carolina the past 10 years. I drive all day for my job. This Podcast has some of the best interviews of any out there. It’s the first podcast I check to see if there’s a new episode. Highly recommend it to anyone living abroad.

Fabulous - can't do without it!
This is the business - I wish we could get more than one a week they are that good! Always informative, entertaining and inspiring. For an irish person exiled twice over (UK and now USA), it's often moving and yet brings you closer to home each time you listen. Great work Jarlath - more power to your elbow! The range of guests from differing backgrounds is superb and often there's a great treat in store when a really huge name pops up as that week's guest. It's a constant gym and running companion.

One of the best interviewers out there
I've learnt so much about the guests on this show due to Jarlath's style of actually listening rather than interrupting. If you're Irish at home or abroad this is a must listen.

    Love the enlightening interviews
I've told so many of my friends and relatives to check out this podcast. I love the long-form interviews, you really feel as though you're listening to an in-depth personal conversation between two of your favorite people. And hearing about how so many successful people got their start is inspiring and motivating. It's definitely worth a listen.

A brilliant podcast for the diaspora
Couldn't recommend the podcast highly enough. The hour long format gives ample time for an in depth and revealing conversation. It's a particularly good listen if you are away from home.

    Jamie Heaslip believes in Santa
Loved this interview. Jarlaith really seemed to hit a nerve with the mention of drugs in rugby and Heaslip did not like it, and was a bit of a dick, imo. But jarlaith did a good job of getting him back into the groove. A great listen.

    New favorite
Absolutely loving this podcast. Great guests, great stories, and I really admire Jarlath’s interview skills. He asks great questions and then gets out of the way so the guest can shine. Looking forward to hearing much more.

Always renews my determination to live fully
Most of the people Jarlath Regan interviews are new to me. But this podcast has become one of my favorites. There seems to be something special to take away from each person’s story. Michael Smiley was incredible.

    Another Great Jarlath Interview
I've only been able to listen to a few of your Irishman Aboard interviews, but you do a great job of interviewing your guests. It's always about them. I just listened to the Robert Sheehan interview and find him to be such a delightful person. I first saw him on Love/Hate and loved Darren and was shocked when his character "departed" the show. This was another 5-stars, thumbs up interview.

    Doesn't get better than this
Wish I knew about this podcast months ago. Every interview is wonderful, with interesting questions posed by Jarlath and an easy rapport between interviewer and interviewee. You don't need to be an expat pining for Ireland to enjoy this, but its especially meaningful if you emigrated from Ireland. A gem of a podcast.

    A pleasure
I'm a bit late to this podcast, but am so glad I found it. It's really great. As an Irish person abroad, it is really nice that to hear from other people (more successful that me) and their experiences which somehow are not that different. Really worth checking out

    A must listen
As an avid podcaster, I have to say this is the one podcast that I look forward to every week. As an Irishman in Washington DC, it is fascinating to hear how the diaspora share a common sense of Irishness despite being scattered to the four corners! The show serves up an eclectic mix of interviews with Irish people abroad with some "pure gems" already. A big thank you to Jarlath for providing one hour of pure listening pleasure each week. Keep it Com'in!!!!

A Steak Dinner of a Podcast
Jarlath Regan has produced a series of thoroughly researched and intelligently presented interviews, detailing the emigrant experiences of Irish people who have gone abroad and found success in their personal and professional lives. The most impressive aspect of this series, for me, is his ability to connect on many emotional levels with his guests and encourage them to share funny, inspiring and often very personal details of their lives about leaving Ireland to make a life elsewhere. There is real skill and talent at work here that offers the listener real and meaningful insight into the lives of the interviewees. I'll be making a podcast donation, the Dylan Moran interview alone is worthy of it. Wonderful stuff, please keep it going!

An Irish View of the World
Top notce podcast - interesting guests, a host that is a real human who asks the questions you wish you had thought of, and topics that relate to all of us, Irish or not. Great work, Jarlath.
  • Cathal MacGabhann
    Great podcasts.
One of the best podcasts I’ve come across. Very interesting for anyone, but especially Irish people living abroad.
  • CiaranHudson
    Great in depth interviews
Really good interviews with people from different walks of life. You think you might know the story of the interviewee’s success, but Jarlath has a way of getting more out of these guys (neutral) than you’d expect.
