StephenailWisdom begins with TorahThis fine podcast came to my attention by Dr. Footnick's reference to his inspiration by Dennis Prager. I have (as a Christian) received such deep wisdom and broad insight from Mr Prager's Torah lectures (recorded many years ago) that I was surprised there could be anyone else who might approach Prager's joy in teaching, accessibility, intelligence and anlaysis. Yet I have found that teacher in Dr. Footnick. I hope you find it as enlightening (and enjoyable) as I have. My only regret is that Dr. Footnick didn't begin recording his lectures with Genesis.

Juser1984Great podcast if you want to study the BibleAs a Christian, I find this podcast very valuable in helping me understand the Bible. Its episodes are full of Wisdom and interesting details about what the text really means, in the context of the time and place it was written. The teacher is very intellectually honest and charismatic. I am very happy to see that new episodes have appeared after a few months off.

Be osideChristian Learning the Old TestamentDr. Footnick brings a breadth of knowledge that had been previously unknown to me. My mother is Jewish and I had been exposed to the big holidays, Passach being one of my favorite. So learning the the Books of Moses has not only brought up some great memories from child hood but given me as a Christian a fuller understanding of the Old Testament. If you are Jewish, or Christian this is a great podcast to subscribe to so that you can broaden your knowledge and enhance the depth of your faith.

dogwith4shoesTorah means teacherI am a Christian but have a deep interest in Torah studies. Dr. Footnick provides a wonderful perspective on Judaism, as he has identified as Reform, Conservative, Orthodox and even an athiest. He does an excellent job of analyzing the text, without even neglecting application of the text. Definitely work it!
