    Not just an infomercial
Okay, so most of the negative reviews say this is just a long infomercial. Yes, he promotes his own website, but the episodes do give a lot of helpful information! My only negative is that he can be a little bit rambling and repetitive sometimes.

    Great guests
Doggy Dan always invites wonderful guests who spend their lives helping dogs across the world. A lot of valuable information about dogs health, nutrition and great stories about dog-human relationship. Love it!

    All my life
I have had dogs all my life and have never had the success I have now with just every day behavior, with Dan’s guidance. And it’s so simple! Thank you Dan!!!

    Fantastic
I’ve had many dogs and had lots of trainers. All a waste of time and money. I recently adopted a rescue hound mix and she was out of control. After 2 days of following the 5 Golden Rules she was a different dog! We follow them to the letter and she is better everyday. These podcasts reinforce the rules. Thanks Doggy Dan. You are brilliant!

    Glorified infomercial :(
So frustrating to invest so much time in listening only to find out this is an infomercial!

    It’s a commercial
Yes this guy is very gregarious enthusiast and knowledgeable. However each episode he goes on and on why that aspect is important for dogs but give the consumer nothing in return for listening to his infomercial. You must go to the website and purchase advice. 🤑 Pass!

A kind, gentle and loving how-to approach to dog training
For the past month, I’ve been listening to Doggy Dan’s podcasts and am almost finished his e-book (What the Dogs Taught Me About Being a parent) sold on Amazon.com. I’m absorbing helpful detailed instructions from his podcasts and daily emails which reinforce his “kind, gentle and loving” method of dog training. His staff promptly reply to any questions you have. He offers a 3-day full access to his website for $1 and if you need more, you have the option to sign up for a month at a time with the ability to cancel at any time. Doggy Dan truly wants you and your dog to succeed. PLEASE NOTE: I am not receiving any compensation for this honest review. GrammyG

Helpful if you have put the 5 golden rules in place
If you are a member of the Online dog trainer (even if you just subscribed for thr $1 3 day trial) than these podcasts are helpful at addressing particular issues.

Not a reliable source for up-to-date and modern dog training
I am a certified dog trainer and understand there are many schools of thought. I further understand that this podcast was recorded three years ago. But the information provided in the podcast is based on old school techniques based around the methodology of "pack leaders", dominance, and needing to gain your dog's "respect". Some of his ideas are effective and reliable but they are based out of a methodology that has been proved to be incorrect. This podcast should be removed for out of date information.

    Best Advice for Dog Training
I'm sorry to see this podcast discontinued. Doggy Dan makes so much sense...and his advice really works.

    Just an informercial
If you’re looking for information, these podcasts are not worth the time… they just amount to pimping Dan’s elusive "5 Golden Rules of becoming the pack leader" that you have to pay to have revealed to you. I don’t begrudge someone from making money from their effort and experience, I’m just letting you know.. I just listened to 2 hours of these podcasts and received no concrete, practical, actionable information… apparently, I’ll have to pay for that. What you get for free is a repetition of anecdotes in a charming New Zealand accent.

    MUST LISTEN!
Doggy Dan knows his stuff He’s kind and compassionate towards dogs and his methods are REALLY effective. Our house has become a much lovelier place. I totally recommend signing up for his website, because thats where he goes in to real depth about how to become pack leader. Its only a dollar for 3 days, and thats enough time to learn how to be pack leader- but theres so much good stuff, you’ll want to stay on after your trial.
