    These guys are fans?
I’ve listened to a handful of episodes and they appear to dislike, as a whole, every episode of Doctor Who. Even episodes Eric and Kyle say they like are belittled so badly it’s confusing. Everyone is entitled to express their opinion, I just don’t understand spending so much time on something you seem to not like.

Not for me I don’t suppose
Prefer shows that find the positive in every episode. And that aren’t quite as condescending. If I like an episode they don’t I guess I’m stupid or something.

Great start to the new season
Having never seen any Outer Limits, it's still very engaging and interesting. Well-researched as always and thoughtful discussion. Good luck gents!

May be writers, definitely not audio techs
Totally addicted. Discovered this podcast about 2 weeks ago, and I'm already 24 episodes in. Very much enjoy getting this POV on "Doctor Who." Having said that, the hosts need to give a little plot summary as they begin to talk about each story, so people can keep up without having watched the story in question (or without being such "Who" geeks they know every plot since 1963 off the tops of their heads — fortunately I *am* that geeky). Also, they need some help with their audio. In every episode (and yes, I've jumped ahead to make sure current episodes have this problem before reviewing) one of the hosts sounds like he's been recorded via Skype, and in every episode both hosts keep varying wildly their distance from their (cheap?) microphones, and varying how loud they're talking. I'm constantly having to adjust the volume — especially when the Skyping host laughs. Yikes...and ouch!

    Great Classic Who Podcast
As a longtime Whovian, I appreciate classic serials even more. Eric and Kyle have great in-ear chemistry and are both fun and informative to listen to.

    Solid Podcast
This is a wonderful podcast about the actual stories of Doctor Who, new and old, whatever that means. Coming into the fandom late, I have reached the point where I have seen more "Classic Who" than, excuse the expression, new Who. Listening to this podcast makes me want to go back and watch certain episodes. The podcasters knowledge of the show and writing techniques and history are quite commendable. It will be sad day when I am caught up with this podcast, having to wait month from month.

Deeply knowledgeable without being smug or catty, Erik and Kyle do a great service to Doctor Who fandom with their thoughtful commentary.

    Superlative
Some of the most-informed and well-considered DOCTOR WHO criticism I've come across in twenty-six years as a fan of the series.

    Fantastic!
Doctor Who: The Writers’ Room is one of the first podcasts I listen to when it arrives in my feed. A focus on the writers of Doctor Who by analyzing and reviewing the stories they wrote offers unique insight in to the creative process and the writers who wrote the stories, unduplicated by any other podcast. Entertaining as well as informative, this is one subject where the homework of watching the stories is a pleasure to do both before and after listening to the podcast!

    Review update-good show, stop laughing
After hearing more episodes I've decided to update my review. I still think Kyle and Erik agree too often, it's like a podcast with one voice instead of two, but since the focus is more about examining the show's writing and not episode reviews this has been less of an issue. The show has matured into a healthy and intelligent look at Who's writers which sets it apart from the myriad of Who podcast clones out there. My only real complaint is Erik giggles/cackles too much. Seriously, the guy bursts out into laughter over anything and since he sounds like he's too far from the mic his voice tends to echo and the howls of laughter are magnified and loud. I know it's not really fair to pick on someone for laughing, but it's a semi serious podcast and it does honestly get annoying to hear that almost non stop cackle. Erik, just try and control yourself a little bit, ok?? But if that's my only gripe I'd say you guys are doing pretty well!

Once a Month Is Not Enough!
The true test of any Doctor Who podcast is whether or not the hosts can discuss episodes you haven't seen and still keep you riveted. By that standard, Erik and Kyle are more than getting the job done. Their in-depth discussion of the men and women who scripted classic Doctor Who is always engrossing and entertaining. I just wish they produced more than one episode each month. Still hoping they'll do another segment on Eric Saward and really sock it to him. That guy...!

    Fun and Insightful!
I really love these in-depth looks at the works of the writers of Doctor Who. I appreciate how they try to separate out the writing aspects of the story from the production aspects, which can either help or hinder the written script. I also appreciate the wider context they give for the conditions under which the scripts are written, either relating to wider cultural influences or to conditions within the Doctor Who production itself. Fun podcast!

A Must-Listen for Doctor Who Fans
Kyle and Erik dissect the scriptwriting of Doctor Who's classic run (1963-1989) writer by writer. By looking past the sometimes less-than-convincing sets and special effects, they are able to track the show's progression and examine what makes a great Doctor Who story. The hosts' insightful comments and fun banter make for an entertaining listen. Bonus points for the theme tune.

    A Favorite Listen Every Month!
Erik & Kyle have created a unique podcasts among many great Doctor Who shows online. The focus on the writers of Doctor Who is a breath of fresh air and the discussions are always insightful and thought-provoking. I look forward to each episode each month as they often deviate from traditional fan-wisdom. Cheers gentlemen!

    An entertaining an enlightening podcast
You can tell Erik and Kyle aren't just Doctor Who Fans, they're Doctor Who scholars. They do their homework. When so many podcasts out there are just folks carrying on about what they did or didn't like about an episode, the insight and analysis these guys provide on the men and women behind the keyboards of Doctor Who is quite refreshing. And the light-hearted banter and witticisms keep it from getting too dry. Whether you're a Doctor Who Noob or a grizzled old Whovian like me, there's something for you in this podcast and it will likely enhance your enjoyment of the show. Great stuff.
