I love the long form podcast. Ian has opened my eyes to a few challenges that I wouldn’t have otherwise considered. I always listen with an ear out for something new and a refresh of classics in the ultra scene.

If you are a conservative and a Trump supporter. Ian despises you. I just received a very hostile email response from him after I expressed my concern over his comments about politics. There is no escape...not even my trail running podcasts. If you are a conservative American, you are listening to someone who hates you.

Motivating and inspiring.

All around great interviews by Ian. Great commentary by Speedgoat Karl. Newer co-interviews from the “godfather of trails” will continue to improve we hope. Without this show I would not know much about all the great international races and fell/sky running. Thanks Ian!

Way better entertainment anywhere else

As an ultrarunner, I come back to this podcast from time to time to give it another chance. And each time, I remember why I abandoned it. Most recently, the interview with Karl Meltzer pulled me in. Who doesn't want to hear about Speedgoat's amazing feat on the AT? Instead, it was an hour of Ian interviewing Ian on how Ian felt while watching Karl's progress from Ian's computer. He interrupted Karl countless times, and wouldn't let him finish most of his thoughts. He told Karl how Karl felt, rather than asking him. It was embarrassing to listen to, honestly. All the other content I've listened to is equally narcissistic. It's a shame, because Ian clearly is passionate about something having to do with ultrarunning, and somehow gets impressive access to elite runners, but it all comes across very poorly and is generally unlistenable.

I have listened to every episode of TalkUltra and much of the information I have learned about the sport has come from the show. Ian is a fantastic ambassador of the sport and SpeedGoat is a great touch. Thanks for all the miles of info and company. Keep up the great work!

I died and went to heaven when I found this podcast. Interviews are excellent and training information is very helpful. Helps me keep in touch with ultra running as a fan and this is not easy. I would prefer a little more American content, but overall an outstanding show. Ian is the hardest working man in show business. scottyO-Aspen

The content is great, but I rarely listen because it's just so long. It would be great if the episodes were broken up into 30min to an hour segments. Any more than an hour and the podcast becomes impossible to listen to. Unless of course your the type of person who likes to listen on there long run.

Great podcasts. Informative and well thought out. It motivates me to keep running.

Recently has started listening and went back to listen to all the back issues. Really learned a lot and helped boost my confidence going into first 100 miler.

I just started listening this as I was looking for another podcast as I have now listened to all of URP and Trail Runner Nation's back catalog! This is great. I love the different perspective as compared to the above fore mentioned podcasts. You are definitely in a league far above me, as i just started serious running with intentions of first ultra next year. Wish you all the luck, and keep em coming!

Exceptionally well crafted running podcast. Very professionally produced, lots of great content, travels the globe bringing listeners the latest in ultra running news from around the world. I love the weekly segment regulars (Meltzer Moment, Ultra Legends, 15 min of fame, ...). I very much enjoy some of their insider comments on the ultra running scene. You can really feel their excitement and love of the sport.

I like how the show will mix it up. Not just an interview the whole time.

I start to get antsy waiting for new episodes. Lots of news and amazing interviews! A must for ant trail, ultra, stage, or adventure runner!

Even I don't run anything close to ultra distances, I find this podcast motivating and the interviews very engaging. Great job Ians!
