Lisa MultipleBetter than ‘my dad wrote a porno!’What else can I say? No seriously, this podcast has seen me through such hard times and I can not thank Matthew and Molly enough for SUCH great energy. ❤️❤️

Carrie in BendShow ideaYou guys did a Trader Joe’s episode a while back, you should do a part 2 of that.

a chance seedlingyesIt would take too long to give all the ways this podcast is so right, just allowed to unfold without puffery, with good wit and a good heart.

sdfklghjSo much funThis show is so funny! I love the way the two of them just crack up and it’s actually funny stuff that tickles them, you can’t help but join in. Also informative about cooking and food history. Very fun listen.

My favorite podcast of ALL!Horseradish and Gefilte fishTell me you have no Jewish friends without telling me you have no Jewish friends. You both said you’re scared of Gefilte fish. I have heard you eat (and enjoy) so many strange things and Gefilte is where you draw the line?! Please remedy this.

jpdudemanAdvent calendarYou gotta get a puzzle advent calendar, so fun. Each day is a tiny box full of a section of the puzzle. Children are busy for more than four seconds.

bubbecThe more I listen…The more I love this podcast. Molly is hysterical but when Matthew starts laughing I’m done. The banter between these two good friends is both genuine and interesting. I listen late at night in my assisted living apartment and I’m sure the staff hears me giggling. Last night was about corn muffins. I could almost taste the Jiffy Mix right out of the box. I’ve learned lots of interesting food backstories and dreamt all too often about food! Yummy!

shyborg.madrobotAfter a long time of not listening, I had to change my ratingWhen I was searching for food podcasts I found this one and was immediately charmed by Matthew and Molly’s friendship and was entertained. But it didn’t take me long to realize the major flaw with this podcast: Molly has zero table manners and zero self-awareness or shame about it. I used to try to power through the episodes anyway, trying to focus on the parts I enjoyed, becoming increasingly aware that I shouldn’t listen to it when I drive because sometimes the sounds from Molly’s mouth combined with the stress of the road would cause me to become angry and drive dangerously. I jokingly left a four star review saying that I loved the chewing noises but that Molly gave me intrusive thoughts of leaving a two star review. Sadly I decided to stop listening altogether and the more time that went by, the more grateful I became to be living a life without listening to Molly eat anymore and it was then I knew I had to change my rating from a four to a two because as much as I did enjoy listening to their conversation and nostalgic musings, it will never compare to the joy that I feel at not listening to Molly eat anymore. She truly disgusts me and I hope that I never meet her because I’m trying to be a kind person but I don’t know if I would have the self-restraint to not be rude to her. I know what a person eats like isn’t a good reason to not like someone but I really really dislike her.

BKWeimmomPe con, Pe can, Pe' can episodeThis episode had me laughing so hard. I happened to be engaged in a particularly frustrating task at the time, and it just made it so much easier to complete while listening and laughing with the two of you. Thanks so much.

13Jim69The show has really gone down hill.I used to enjoy this show but if you go back and listen to old episodes you see how one must suffer through endless LGBTQIA2S and extreme left politics for any decent content. The show now spends tons of time on gay and lesbian books to read rather than finishing the food content. A good example would be the cranberry episode where rather than cranberry food content you find yourself listening to how typical guitar channels on Youtube are “Cis Male” and how he prefers “non cis” areas instead. What if I called his preferred channel as “Tranny” would that be okay? Definitely unsubscribing to this channel.

AshleighmkeMy podcast bestiesMatthew and Molly has seen me through some tough lows and high highs, without ever knowing it. I’ve been listening since the beginning, since I was a wee one in my twenties to now a mid-thirties mom of two. From postpartum-during-a-pandemic lonely days, to scrubbing caked-on cheesy egg goo, to commuting my way through Milwaukee traffic (no biggie), this podcast has been along for the ride. Spilled Milk is far and away the one I look forward to most each week. Not sure how to say this without sounding creepy, but… though we’ve never met, I feel like M&M are my buds. LOTS-A for life.

LaurieWendyRidiculous and HilariousBetter than Planet Money. My favorite podcast of all time. I just love it so much.

OakdaleSarahListening for yearsI’ve listened to this show for years. It is funny, about food, and the hosts are smart. And they treat their listeners as intelligent. They’re not trying to sell you something or attract sponsors, they’re just creating something enjoyable. I regularly laugh out loud. What more could you ask for?

Eating inTime to say goodbyeIt’s been a long road with a lot of laughs, but time to say goodbye. I recommend if you’re new to the show, go back and listen thru 2021 or so and call it a day. They barely talk about food anymore, which I could probably live with. But I just can no longer deal with feeling my heart break a little more each episode as I hear them make it clear they are transferring mental disorders on their daughters to satisfy their own woke desires.

Andy MeddickOne Of My Favorite Podcasts!I listen to a lot of podcasts. Many for business. Many other genres for pleasure. This is one of my favorite guilty pleasure shows! Anyone who can talk about Box Graters for 44 minutes and manage to entertain, educate, and make me laugh out loud is good in my book! The sound quality is amazing, the chemistry between the co-hosts spot on, and the content always a delightful surprise. Well done! Thank you! Andy.

Chef KenlaMy first podcast, my first love. This was the first podcast I started listening to years ago. It got my through many work days. I stopped listening to it for a couple years and wanted to get back to listening to it. I’m so glad that it’s still going strong and still new episodes! A few I started l, aren’t around anymore. So I hope this one stays around for a long time! I just love listening to it! I’ve learned a lot of new things, even being a culinary school graduate myself.

purelyonawhim23Fun, but…Rather than make the conclusion that cis-white-males shouldn’t write books, perhaps they should uplift those in need. If the both of you are frustrated with the lack of “authenticity” (to be blunt) then perhaps using your years of knowledge, skill, and practice to uplift the true voices of your profession. I’m constantly looking for recipes that aren’t ‘All Recipes’ or ‘Bon Appetit’ as mentioned in the show. If your podcast highlighted those authentic people, I’d listen more than I already do now. Food is art and art doesn’t put up walls. Yes, there are too many non-authentic (white) voices out there. Condemning them to leave isn’t the answer. 4 stars, good pod. Always gonna listen. Waiting for more. Episode on “camping foods” could be fun if it doesn’t exist already.

PDlikespodcastsBetter than planet money5 stars ⭐️- better than planet money. This is my favorite podcast of all time. I marathon listen to old episodes so much while I’m cooking/cleaning that I feel like Matthew and Molly are my roommates. Makes me LOL and brings me everlasting joy! 🌈🌟🦄

rlk414Fav podcast of all timeI’ve been listening for ages, have listened to every single episode, and look forward to new episodes every week. Is it weird that Molly and Matthew feel like my friends? They’re hilarious and authentic, and I really love their friendship. I also sometimes learn stuff about food. This show has really gotten me through some rough times over the past few years. Keep up the good work, you two (and Abby)!

EmoEaterSocialClubBetter than Planet Money😉

aathirdseasonFavorite blind podcast subscriptionSubscribed to a random assortment of food podcasts to improve my cooking, this is the only one I still listen to. 4 years later my cooking improvements includes how to chop an onion and that’s about it. I’m pleased with the laughs to learning ratio. Very amusing, super silly. My go to when someone asks to put a podcast on.

ashz123987The best!Just love you guys! The only thing that could make this show better is is it were coated in ranch flavored powder 😉
-
asdhjlvcfyuhSpoiled MilkWhat is so funny? So tiring. No wonder I left … came back hoping for change. Still stuffing, chewing, gluing snd talking. Gross.

Listener Rachel SThe best podcast there isThis is the best podcast out there, and you are lucky to have found it. I’ve been listening and relistening to Spilled Milk for about 6 years now. Matthew and Molly put on the best show out there, and it’s about so much more than food. Start from the beginning and listen to their lives and relationships evolve, grow with them, laugh hysterically and cry with them. It’s so special. Listener Rachel

Victoria SpruiellJust discovered this podcast!I just discovered this podcast and I absolutely love it! I really enjoyed learning about sumac and all of the great foods you can cook with it. Looking forward to the next episode!

AtlongsterLong time listenerI've listened to this show since the first year. I loved it. But recently the banter has been not as fun or funny, the focus isn't on the food, and it feels like they're over thinking every comment and thought in a way they didn't previously. It no longer feels natural and fun. It feels forced and pretentious, like an elementary school putting on Titus Andronicus.
-
UltrajillCan’t AnymoreI listened to every single episode since the first one (10 years ago??) but have stopped since Jan/Feb this year since it is not funny OR entertaining anymore at all. There was a thing about weird animals at one point, they don’t talk about food, the jokes are painful. Molly plays “the look how dumb/indifferent I am” trope and Matthew’s humor is just: no. Sorry guys.
-
DeBK265The CONSTANT StupidityI always start listening with great anticipation of actually learning something but can’t get past the constant stupid comments. Especially annoying is when they pretend not to know something. Do your research BEFORE the podcast rather than pretend to guess … and guess … and guess … and then read aloud a Wikipedia paragraph.

DP LKSanity-saving and a pure joyI’ve known about this podcast for many years peripherally through Molly’s blog, but I’m a more recent listener. I feel it’s like being a kid listening in on your cool older brother & sister or cousins jabbering away at the kitchen table about different foods they like/dislike/trying for the first time, being silly, sometimes making snide remarks at each other, and wailing/ranting with/at each other, and it’s just one of the best, purely joyful things to listen to for me. I listen to it on the car while commuting nearly every day, and sometimes during work if I am doing more manual things, and it’s always the highlight of my day. I learn cool facts and history about food products and ingredients (although that’s almost secondary to the point of the show), and often laugh out loud at their antics. I love hearing Molly laughing until she’s out of breath and her tiny shrieks trying to recover, Matthew’s boisterous laugh in which he throws his head back away from the mic so it’s heard in the background, Matthew’s eager “yes yes!”, Molly’s scolding “Matthew! Shut up!” when he keeps interrupting her with more and more jokes.... I could go on. I also like that they do their best to be culturally sensitive (and respond to feedback if they cross the line), and honestly, it’s nice to know even food writers were picky eaters as kids and still have strong food preferences and dislikes. Thank you for creating this show, Molly and Matthew. It makes me wish I could be your friend in real life (but that would be a bit too weird), but I feel like I sort of vicariously am part of your friend group through listening to your show, and that speaks to how genuine and relatable you guys make the show for your listeners. Thank you.

NGMatsuJust started listeningHi! Just started listening to this podcast mainly because of all the Japanese food! For me, comfort food at its finest! I hope one of these days, you can take up kashi pan. I can’t readily get them now where I live so I have resorted to making them myself but I love the variety of kashi pan back home in Japan!

fritter51Bye byeListened to occasionally until they went into politics and who they are voting for.

16309Moved from always listen to rarely listenThanks for the comedy in the past episodes! The heavy doses of woke is a new feature and frankly, it’s tiresome.
-
Fast_track2Favorite! A great escape!Love this podcast. Always funny and informative — don’t sleep on the episodes you think might bore you to tears — I’m looking at you “Kohlrabi” and “Napkins”. I’ve learned so much and there are so many episodes —- even the earliest ones are great!

Lilywhite1882Consistently Silly and EnjoyableI had heard of this podcast a while ago, but only started listening a couple years back. One of my favorites, I appreciate their silly digressions and hot takes.
-
wordyflamingoGone on too longI loved this show for a while, and I somehow keep listening even though it’s really not very funny anymore and most of the episodes are barely about food. I think it’s time to let it go, but it’s become a habit.
