Plumeria2024More of this please, and thank youLove the episode on local heroes of climate drawdown. The participants really opened my eyes compared to a mainstream American perspective.

NKAndreasGeothermal episode is especially goodImpressive show overall. The tone of the show is nicely balanced. No fluff, no scolding, just good research and analysis. If you haven’t listened to any episodes yet, try the geothermal one.

bluetortillaThe Authoritarian DivideWhile much needed attention was given to tempering the divisions in this country, 11/24’s episode sounded more at like 2013 than 2023. While we all could certainly work with and hammer out differences and form warm friendships for the good of all with the Republicans on the show, let’s face it- the show blithely passes on the fascist rhetoric coming from MAGA and Trumpism right now, rhetoric calling for violence and mass detentions and deportations of even American citizens who are not of the ‘right’ ethnic makeup. There is no room to ‘talk it out’ and find things in common with people who support a presidential candidate who is vowing that upon election he will arrest and lock up his perceived political enemies. I’m not sure what the point of the show was, because I for one could not stay in a room with someone who is OK with this. It has nothing to do with different opinions at that point; it becomes a moral and a human rights issue, and the danger that we are on a fast track to losing our rights should MAGA succeed. In the episode this was not mentioned once, so I’m not sure how to feel hopeful about overcoming this madness, one by one. It’s not longer about being apolitical- fascism forces you to become political either by embracing all of nihilistic qualities or by becoming obedient. Still, the effort is certainly appreciated and I will continue to treat people with dignity even when there is vehement disagreement.

bayareaclimatefanAppointment ListeningI look forward to the release of this show each Friday. Greg and Ariana have a great rapport, and I really love the work their comms manager is doing too!

ΘΔΡCar-brained host mars an interesting showThe show has a lot of interesting guests covering a large variety of aspects of the climate crisis, from science and technology to social sciences and labor issues. However, the host Greg Dalton is so terminally car-brained that I don’t think he’ll contribute to the massive daily-life changes we need to come out on top of the in-progress crises.

MelanieHDMHDI really value the information and creative approaches to difficult topics about climate change. I listen while walking the dog. Great stuff! Provides me with important facts to discuss w family and neighbors.
-
JamieChan274The best climate pod out thereI always learn something new from experts in the field across the climate world. They model the kind of empathetic journalism and humanistic storytelling we need more of in climate reporting
-
S. QueCory BookerIt doesn't get any better than Cory Booker. We need more compassionate leaders like Cory, leaders with an inclusive vision and an idealistic view of what's possible. Our Founding Fathers were idealistic. It's a great place from which to build a better system of governing.

princess1953A Top-Notch Source of Climate Information and DiscussionI try to take in as much as I can on the climate and oceans crisis. I’ve come to trust Greg Dalton and Climate One for unbiased, comprehensive information and discussion, as I try to sort out the climate landscape.

Guy HarInappropriate AdA great podcast but today I got served an ad for a new VW Tourag diesel. Really? Can you not set your ad choices up to absolutely not serve climate concerned listeners ICE sales pitches. Yuck.
-
gaylynn06Trusted SourceThis podcast provides real-time, reliably sourced information on the state of our changing climate, updated requirements, corporate and national commitments, and industry participation. As a 25 year environmental consultant, I heartily recommend it.
-
wjm5107Well intendedA well meaning and thoughtful show, but did not meet expectations. I was hoping for more pragmatic and meaningful discourse perspectives framing data and realistic, sustainable actions. Searching for new dialogue hoping to break the current status quo philosophy and polarized camps.

mngolferguySmart folks with a blind spotAlthough this show is stacked with some incredibly smart folks, hearing their weekly blind spot to how we should be treating the environment is maddening. There are greater contributing factors to climate change that we should be addressing and just aren’t. Namely, the major polluting countries and fixing the global taboo attitude towards nuclear energy.
-
caffcThis show gives me hopeDespite all the terrifying and enraging info presented, the guests and the subjects give me hope. It feels like I’m getting the truth, bad and good.
-
drehikjd stClimate oneThis station is amazing and very thoughtful in every conversation
-
NikAndreasNot what you might be expecting (better!)If you think this is going to be a knee-jerk reaction to whatever is supposed to be “pro-environmental”, you’ll be surprised. It’s really thoughtful and I always learn a lot. I appreciate that the guests have different kinds of backgrounds, and that they keep it focused on the practical (but they get the theoretical grounding in there too).
-
TimyTSolid, challenging contentDon’t be deceived by the episode titles, which in my opinion can be a little dry up. I found the content itself to be well conceived, clearly presented and full of surprises that made me see environmentalism in a whole new, much more holistic and thoroughly engaging way. Whether educating the listener about how traditional environmentalism is rooted in white supremacy due to its founders’ embrace of eugenics, or challenging them with the mutually beneficial value of offering financial support to developing nations, this podcast is a must for anyone who claims to be serious about a comprehensive approach to climate change.
-
ContraryanVery good at tackling climate in equitable waysVery good podcast that discusses how to address or reduce climate change while making the world more equitable.

BlackLivesMatterGirl5/5 lol 😝This podcast helps me feel better about the changing climate. I always scares me to think that we are actually abusing the earth that has sustained life for so many sentries. It with the help of this podcast I’m calming down and brainstorming ways to help or protest. -Thank you

LMacDonaldDCMy Go-To Source for Climate Information and InspirationGreg Dalton has just the right touch and all the right guests for understanding the climate emergency and building the courage and spirit to keep on fighting to address it. I listen when I am out walking and come home refreshed and ready to do more.
-
AvesnovuelanReally powerful conversationsI love that this podcast goes beyond the raw science of climate change to address the human impact and the way that intersects with things like racism, sexism, poverty and colonialism. I also appreciate that the conversation is not all gloom and doom but also highlights solutions that are achievable. This gives me hope.

ecvancouver1986SportyspiceGive the mic to a woman or person of color. Do not give air time to utilities who actively silence and fail to acknowledge the implications of their actions
-
AlexanderrMillBalanced and thoughtfulThis podcast is very very clear on its goal and its values. The host does not pull punches but does let his guests speak their minds. The conversation never fails to explore the influence of global systemic racism, colonialism, and the unrealized externalities of emitting activities. Perhaps this is a personal preference, but I always find it a little difficult to understand why they occasionally invite a panel of opposing voices to participate in a single episode. The recent episode that sought to understand how pipelines play into the energy transition was a prime example of this. It seemed a little soft-gloved with regards to the Enbridge spokesperson, and it failed to allot comparable time to the Sierra Club rep. And when you’re doing a sort of “we don’t pick favorites we value many voices” approach, I don’t think a panel will ever be totally appropriate: someone will always take up more space. Otherwise, a classic climate podcast.

The PA PRMaking the climate crisis realA must listen podcastIt as it brings context and clarity making the problem understandable.

SheriffMooseStumbled upon a great show!I found this podcast by chance on the radio playing the episode “Jay Inslee, BP and Washington’s Climate Story”. I made it a point to remember the name of the podcast so I could subscribe to it when I got home. It had excellent depth and a very thoughtful interview.

Rob CGreat Podcast that has found a new gearThis podcast has been terrific for a long time. Recently, it seems to have gotten even better-the questions sharper, and the arc of the stories are better tied together.

windyfeetTake Notes!I have loved the natural world, and the environment my whole life, being an American Indigenous Person, I’ve been in close contact, been a witness to all the changes over time, 50+ years. I’ve been an avid listener of this podcast for a long time. I treat it like a college course and take notes, and do research on all of the diverse interviewees from the show. It gives me hope. There are a lot of great things happening to focus on, instead of gloom and doom. This knowledge helps me to communicate much better with all kinds of people.
