Like you, I started my style journey unsure about what clothes enhanced my God-given beauty and body type especially after having kids. I used to spend money on clothes that didn’t complement my figure and then I’d feel ashamed because I’d wasted time and money on something I didn’t feel good in. As a woman of faith, I realized that shame is not of God and I decided it was time to discover and embrace my unique God-given beauty and to place my identity and self-worth in Jesus. I’ve spent over ten years learning about color, fit, texture, design, accessorizing, and outfit formulation. I have to say I didn’t think I would enjoy this podcast but wow did Ashli ever surprise me. I have a pear shaped body and have always struggled with my bigger than normal hips and thighs. Just listened to episode 3 and love the clear, practical and comprehensive overview Ashli gives of what a style profile is (something I had never heard of before). Also enjoyed listening to how she came to where she is today doing this as her passion work. I also think this podcast is so timely for today’s Christian women who can get easily caught up in social media and following the latest style trends, and forget where their true identity lies in Christ. So this podcast bringing faith and fashion together is so needed, and I agree with Ashli saying in her episode about how the external styling will only be a small aspect of a woman’s true and ultimate identity which is found wrapped up in Jesus.
