I found this podcast the beginning of December when I told myself it is truly time for me to heal from my past trauma and stop living in fear. When I started at the first episode and today I am caught up. When I say you have been saying some of the rings I’ve been praying to God about and it’s been blowing my mind! Mrs. Basden, I want to thank you for every episode you share. Each one is a blessing, but this particular episode hit me in a way I desperately needed. At 5:30 AM on January 22, I was hitting the snooze button on my alarm for the third time, struggling to face the day. Suddenly, I received the notification for this episode, and it felt like a divine nudge—a reminder to rise, to listen, and to connect. As I pressed play, the words resonated so deeply that I couldn’t hold back my tears. I cried because I’ve been feeling as though my faith isn’t reaching God, as though my prayers are falling on deaf ears. My marriage is struggling, and there’s a possibility of divorce looming over us. I’ve been trying to remain positive, telling myself to keep putting one foot in front of the other, but inside, I feel like I’m falling apart. The weight of trying to be everything to everyone—wife, mother, friend, daughter, coworker—is crushing me. I know in my heart that God will never leave me nor forsake me, but right now, I can’t seem to shake the hurt and pain. This episode helped me in a way I didn’t expect. It gave me permission to release the guilt I’ve been carrying—the guilt of constantly trying to show up for everyone else, of always prioritizing others over myself, even when I feel empty inside. I’ve poured so much of myself into others, always striving to be empathetic, to provide a safe space for those who need to be heard. But I realize now that I’ve neglected my own needs. I’ve been running on empty for so long that I hardly recognize myself. I feel drained, angry, and lost. Your message reminded me that it’s okay to pause, to stop people-pleasing, and to set boundaries. It’s okay to prioritize my well-being, even if it feels selfish at first. Faith doesn’t mean suppressing my pain or pretending everything is fine—it means trusting that God can handle my brokenness and meet me where I am. This reflection has opened my heart to the idea that faith is not about perfection or always feeling strong; it’s about surrendering my shame, anger, and exhaustion to God, knowing He can transform them into peace. I’m learning that I can’t carry the weight of the world, nor is that my calling. My role as a wife, mother, friend, and so on cannot come before my relationship with God or my own mental and emotional health. This journey is teaching me to trust God’s timing and His plan, even when it feels unclear. Your episode was a much-needed reminder that even when I feel unseen and unheard, God’s presence is constant. I may not have all the answers, but I’m holding on to the belief that He will guide me through this storm. Thank you for being a vessel of encouragement and for sharing wisdom that reaches hearts exactly when it’s needed most. This episode was a lifeline, and for that, I am truly grateful.

I started listening to a few shows from 2024 but they were so good I had to start from the beginning. I just finished all to 2023 and can’t wait to start back 2024 from the beginning. Yesterday I finished “you lack nothing” episode & boy did I feel like you created that episode solely for me. I have a small health and wellness business & it has always been just me. I often get discouraged & think about giving up & going back to corporate but then I remember god placed me in this position for a reason & when it gets hard you just have to fight through because you are so much closer than you think.
