    Why so short
I love this podcast. But I’m not happy that they are less than 2 minutes each. What happened?

Very informative. I agree her story would make a fantastic book.

    Disappointing at best
I listened to the Laken Riley episode hoping to hear someone actually cover the case. Instead it was an episode about politics. They literally talked about the case for maybe a quarter of the episode and spent the rest of the time talking politics.

    Excellent Coverage
This podcast needs way more reviews; Emily’s delivery is impeccable and the questions she asks are perspicacious as well as thoughtful.

    Inside crime crisis
Normally I enjoy this podcast but todays podcast on the crime crisis was disgustingly political — and partisan, to boot. That’s definitely not what I’m here for. Gross.

    Interesting, but…
The interviewer needs to bring some clarity to her questions. She really fumbles over herself.

Emily is the best podcast host
Emily’s thoughtful questions are always wrapped in compassion and empathy. She is able to quietly listen while the guest responds without jumping in to follow up before they finish talking. At the end, Emily give her guests a heartfelt thank you and commends them for being brave, tenacious or having persevered in finding the truth. We should all have an Emily in our lives.

    Like Greg Says….
As long as you don’t say “At the end of the day.” Annoying any over used. Other then then that, it’s ok.

    Really good
The cases I’ve listened to have been very well explained. Some I’ve never heard of. Emily is a great interviewer. She’s so empathetic. Her legal experience also helps.

    MMIW: 33-year-old Florence Okpealuk
Emily Compagno did an especially spectacular job on this MMIP case from Nome Alaska. The podcast ran long only because she highlighted Flo’s family; her mom and her sister as well as a local & state-wide activist leader. The end of the show emphasizes that love is at the core of this activism. As my sisters disappear and are murdered, I was moved to tear and love to DO something. Emily asks her guests to give us a path to action! Bills in the state legislature! Marches! Raising families’ voices. (Share this podcast! And there are others!) thank You Emily! Good job. 👍👏🏾🫶👏👏🏿❤️👏🏻👏🏼🤟🤟

    Vocals
Almost all these cases are overdone The vocals had me just stop listening. Made for an unpleasant experience. Emily is great but she is so close to the microphone that when you listen on headphones or earphones it is beyond frustrating. The recording of Dr Baden was terrible too

    Emily makes the difference
There are lots of crime podcasts out there. But the interview format with Emily’s insightful, dizzyingly articulate questions makes this one my favorite. Every time I see Emily here, on Gutfeld, or wherever I am always wrestling with whether it’s her intelligence, her grace and charm, or her beauty that is most captivating. She is the feminine ideal.

    Outstanding Podcast
Excellent job interviewing the guests to obtain a recap of the crime but done with care and compassion for the victims and their families.

    Excellent!
Emily thoughtfully walks us through each case with her usual inquisitiveness. adding grace and empathy throughout. She’s a natural. Very gifted and talented. Great stories and interviews.

    Doesn’t interrupt
I like how Emily interviews her guests, doesn’t interrupt every 5 seconds . Unlike other podcast where the host never lets the guest finish a sentence.

    Addicted
As much as it pains me to say anything nice about Fox, this show is amazing. I’m a former attorney myself, and I listen to A LOT of true crime podcasts…this one is probably the best I’ve heard. Emily is a great host, the guests are beyond interesting, and the whole thing is well produced. More content please!!

    Thorough, fascinating and compassionate
Emily asks good questions of each person she interviews and shows real heart and compassion in difficult moments. I look forward to more human interest reporting. These are not stories being told, they are a retelling by real people, some of whom have lived through unspeakable situations.

No ad subscription is a falsehood
I paid for the no advertising option for the year. It’s a lie!!! They play ads on every single podcast every single episode even with the subscription. Need to get a refund. Most have regular ads. Some only have fox podcast advertising. Which are still ads I am paying to NOT HEAR!!

    Love this so much!
This is so comprehensive so compassionate and I can’t stop listening. Her compassion and incisive story telling is the best!

    Great New Podcast!
Really appreciate Emily’s interview style…she’s articulate, empathetic, and allows her guests to answer questions and share stories without interruption. She’s a great listener and a great interviewer who has the ability to put guests at ease. You get a sense that she truly cares about the impact these horrible events have had on all those involved. And because she truly does care, her guests are often surprised to find that they’re being fully open & honest w/ her.

How about showing local cops love
In resubmitting this review I must point out a couple things that I think need to be addressed. I noticed that Emily has a tendency to give high praise to the federal elements of law enforcement that she interviews and showcases. My problem with that is the federal agencies are also very fallible in regards to case management and the offering of resources. I have been given the brush off personally during serious crimes when trying to enlist federal assistance and have been denied their involvement. At one point even having go in front of and plead with an AUSA to follow through with a federal prosecution of two violent drug gangs after being attached to a task force. Another aspect of the show that bothers me is in some episodes she has guests on that bash the local police departments. In the last episode the guest said outright that the New Orleans Police Department is “not that good”. There are tons and tons of cases out there that the NOPD has worked on that have come to successful conclusions. But also let me explain something, police DO NOT investigate most adult missing persons unless clear blatant evidence of a crime is observed and recovered. A lot of people DO NOT WANT TO BE FOUND. This show smears these local and state departments while deifying the feds all too often for me to continue listening. I hope someone reads this and understands that I have the utmost respect for Emily as a journalist and personality but I cannot sit by and let her host episodes attacking local departments out of ignorance. Pick some cases that are interesting and stop kissing the feds butts. Its demeaning especially when you actually know them. I also have heard very negative things about Jay Dobyns to listen to Emily fawn over him like he is, to use his term, a “supercop” kind of made me laugh. Showcase actual “cops” and quit with the feds. Also, what is with the missing persons cases? Is this an attempt to get a case opened to get the podcast traction? Cause that is exploitative and lame. I like the idea of this type of podcast but not in its current form.

    My First True Crime listening
Excellent so far, letting the story come out, with just a little guiding by Emily, is an extremely great style to listen to and understand.

    Boring interviews
Doesn’t know how to lead an interview. Supposed to be about children and within 6 Minutes said lets turn now to adults. Just poor interviewer.

    LOVE THIS
Just listened to the Polly Klass episode. Insightful interview. Emily is so bright and easy to listen to. Also…whether you (Emily) would have wanted that spot on The Five or not, if the public could have voted, you would have been my #1 pick. I was so happy when I saw you were starting a podcast. Thank you!
