This podcast is both entertaining and informative! As a fan of foreign films but especially Japanese, Hong Kong, and Korean movies, I’m always excited to find films on here that I’ve never heard of. Today I listened to The Terrorist episode and learned about Korean action from the 1990s! But they also cover American movies. I loved the Stardust episode because it’s one of my favorites of all time, and I want to give a shout out to Ben for having that movie’s back. Speaking of Ben, the hosts are great, and not just because you can distinguish their voices from each other easily. Ben seems like a crotchety young man but in an endearing way, and he keeps things moving along. Chris reminds me of a college professor, always bringing deep ideas to the conversation. And Kevin has a truly amazing voice and I feel like he should do voiceover work. Come check them out! You won’t be disappointed.

    Enjoyable and informative
These guys know their film. They put their selected film in context - of the genre, the director’s output and the era. Enjoyable to listen to and very informative. They also have occasional guests who are also film enthusiasts and specialists,. Worth checking out.

    Humbling & Gratifying
Kevin and Ben are wonderful hosts. The conversations are informative and relaxing and they always manage to keep the film choices fascinating. The episodes on Remember the Night, The Verdict, Le Mans, Rawhide and John Frankenheimer are examples of content I struggle to find elsewhere. The pod is a breath of fresh air compared to other shows of its ilk. Long live the spirits of Babs and Duke!

    Amazing!!
I always listen to their new episodes on my way to work each day. They’re amazing at setting up the plot of the movie so that I can follow along, even if I haven’t scene the film. Their analyses of films have made me go out of my way to watch new films and have come to similar conclusions. I recommend to anyone with a passion for films.

    Off the beaten path
The Searchers stray away from mainstream and pop culture favorite films—that’s for sure. If you want something new to listen from a group of movie fans, this is the place. Fun times hanging out with the gang! PS- Thanks for introducing me to Barbara Stanwyck, Kevin. Also, loved their guest on that episode!

    Great Show
Great trio of cinephiles wax poetic about the films that interest them. They’re very knowledgeable and talk about a lot of films that aren’t really discussed on other podcasts. The show has a good structure and doesn’t waste your time. They keep it lighthearted and fun for the listener like a conversation amongst friends, and with great audio quality to boot its an all-around great show.

    Bad
Pseudo intellectual without the intellectual. One might like this if they read at a fourth grade level and breathe exclusively out of their mouth, likely sick due to poor personal hygiene. Film criticism like a small child wearing their parents shoes and glasses, imagines itself more than it is under ill fitting trappings.

    Entertaining and informative
Great chemistry between all the three boys. Love the name of the pod; The Searchers has inspired more movies than I can count, and it’s nice seeing them pay tribute to it in this.
