    The funnest
Maybe not the funniest but the funnest. Pretend is similar.

    Well Researched & Well Told
I enjoy listening to this podcast when I’m by myself walking or driving. Rspecially since I’ve turned off on the current political scene! It’s a very good diversion.

    Silly & Unprofessional
The silliness and constant giggling presents as SO unprofessional.

    Frustrating volumes
I like this podcast, the hosts and the content, however, the varying volume levels are so frustrating. When the hosts are all discussing together, the volume for each host will be different, some normal and some much much quieter. Also, the interviewer’s volume will be very quiet but the interviewee’s volume will be normal and vice versa. I wish someone would regulate these better in editing.

    Inconsistent Audio
Good content, but the audio would go from hardly audible to very loud depending who was talking or transitions. I would have to turn it up just to hear some parts only to have my ear drum blown out a minute later

Lululemon story was interesting to a point but
After hearing 3 episodes, a 4th restating Lulu Lemons’s retail workforce ‘s striving was way too much.

    Good until the “joke”
This felt like a solid piece of journalism—straight to the point, without the editorial bias that many true crime podcasts have. That is, until episode 4, when the host laughs at a joke made by a former Lululemon employee about not killing someone.

    Trying too hard
Listened to a few episodes which were mostly ok. I’ve heard the stories before from other content creators and Infamous stays pretty surface. Landed on the Blake lively and Justin Baldoni episode and realized just how surface they are with their research. If you want entertainment they will give you the big stories through the perspective of wealthy liberal women. If you’re looking for nuance and deep research, look elsewhere.

    Heavily Biased
I found this podcast because of their Ruby Franke series - which I actually thought was excellently researched and reported. However, I then listened to their episode on Lively v Baldoni, and then listened to the Lulu Lemon Murder series. And that will be the last one I listen to. The Lulu Lemon murder case wasn’t a result of “institutionalized racism” in the US, economic disparities or manipulative corporate culture, all of which this series suggests. The Lulu Lemon murder happened because a deeply mentally ill sociopath and kleptomaniac - who just happened to also be a young, MIDDLE CLASS black woman - got caught stealing from the store and decided she’d rather kill another human being than deal with the consequences of her actions. The aggressive agenda pushing in this podcast comes off as just being a hair’s breath shy of blaming the victim. It also suggests that we really shouldn’t blame Brittany Norwood for brutally murdering her co-worker, or for pretending to be a victim herself, and then for good measure insinuated what happened to her was a hate crime (even though she made sure to tell the police that the white, racist perps let her live because she was better looking than her co-worker) because what can you expect from a young woman of color who never felt like she measured up. And WHY did she feel that way? Society. Corporate greed. Bad, evil America. When coupled with their sloppy, biased reporting on Lively v. Baldoni, it’s clear that these “journalists” are more about pushing their agenda than reporting objective, factual news.

    Infamous
Here is a show that takes 45-60 minutes of content and stretches it out for 2-3 hours. I don’t hear actual research or work. If they are doing research they are not highlighting it. Listen to Pretend or others for better work.

Would like to give more stars!!!
New listener. Reporting that catches you and working with real reporters and interviews. If you listen though the podcast doesn't report in order. I enjoy the podcast but look into more than this as a source. I can't stress that enough, don't rely on this as your "news" source!

    Terrible journalism
Absolutely lost me after the episode of the Blake and Justin case. How dare you say he may have to give the right over to her for her to make the sequel! There was so many other wrong things you said. I highly suggest you do your research, look into the FACTS of this case and maybe even listen to Candace Owen’s coverage of this case. Will not be returning to this podcast.

    Entertaining and Informative
These episodes are always well researched and easy to listen to stories about some really awful events. Excellent journalists and I love the British accent of the narrator.

    Wow
I have never written a podcast review, but I’m a long time listener with 5 spare minutes. The amount of very recent bad reviews and 1 star reviews regarding the Blake Lively/Justin Baldoni episode seems unfair, weird and unusually harsh. This show is great, super entertaining, well made and consistent. It’s sort of hard to believe the “outrage” over that episode isn’t manufactured. I mean, just read the reviews, no one cares that deeply about “offended publicists”, or “Blake Lively being painted in a flattering light” for that matter… except the parties involved. It’s laughable to think they are organic, and a big bummer to see the staff at Infamous being punished for covering a current pop culture event.
  • BarHanna01
    Biased and annoying
Completely one sided, negative, and predictable.
  • Morge14
    Did not enjoy this episode
They talk about the publicists sounding like “mean girls from high school”, or something along those lines…one of these co-host sounds the same. Clearly BL’s people have been in contact with her before recording this Podcast. :) The other host was easy for me to relate and listen to. But I take fault as I enjoy shows that show no bias…just facts about any topic. This podcast is not of that style…or at least this episode. Haven’t listened to any other to compare…and will not make it through a whole show if the bias shows through as in this episode.
  • Heidi Jean
Definitely don’t bring all the facts.
Openly bias in their last episode. Makes me wonder about the previous episodes I’ve listened to. Not a news source I can trust.
  • Jerdpaul
    Shockingly bad
The lack of substance and even greater lack of research is painfully evident

    Irresponsible, Biased Reportimg
Wow…I used to like this podcast but the latest episodes especially the Blake Lively scandal shows the lack of quality basic journalism research is shocking. Your team clearly just took one side and couldn’t be bothered to even read nor report on the evidence from other relevant & credible sources. Really disappointing. If you are going to be journalists then raise your research & reporting standards more then what even organic social media users display and actually present an unbiased reporting on this topic. Otherwise you’re just advocates or PR hacks for one side.

    Blake Lively & Justin Baldoni
Just unfollowed this show. How much did Blake and Ryan pay to sponsor this episode? Very disappointed and disgusted.
  • Courtney Turnbull
    No fact checking
I listened to the most recent episode about Blake, lively, and Justin Baldoni, I made it five minutes into the episode and noticed so many facts were incorrect about the movie, I had to stop listening. If you can’t even get facts about the movie right, will you give us correct facts about the ongoing “scandal“?
  • Kksaxon
    Interesting and informative
I’ve been listening to your podcast almost since the beginning. I felt the need to write a review after listening to the episode about Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. Vanessa and Natalie put this entire story into perspective in a short period of time and even brought it back around to the spinning of truth in our current political climate. I had no idea there were so many layers to this story and never would have guessed all that was going on behind the scenes. Great job, great writing and great narration. Regarding the narration, I normally don’t like podcasts with two hosts because the banter gets overwhelming and unnecessary, but that’s not the case with Infamous. It’s always relevant and interesting.
  • DianaDianna
    Blake Lively and Justin
Whose narrative and news are you consuming?Reporting sounds very one sided.

Anything With Vanessa Grigoriadis Is Excellent
As a writer, producer, and podcaster Vanessa has an instinct for human interest stories with an edge. It’s not an edge she runs to, but it’s an edge that her reporting steps off of with dignity and often (and appropriately) humor. She never lets her subjects off the hook, but never mocks or treats with condescension. Her authentic curiosity isn’t afraid to explore dark corners, without becoming grotesque. I’ve read her stories for years in NY Mag and NYT Mag, but her voice really illuminates her sensitivity, laugh out loud reflection on the ridiculous, and unwillingness to dance around discomfort, but dive in without an exploitative splash.

    Easy Listen
Easy to listen to, low stakes, enjoyable podcast. Love to listen while I color or clean. Would recommend!

    Hate the put on accents
Followed the show because it seemed interesting. Began streaming part one of the Dec. 2024 Kylie Jenner episodes & was too annoyed to continue. I understand wanting to speak clearly but this is crazy:“ranch”, “all”, “home”, “dynasty”, “daughter”, “calling”, “lots”, “talking”, “walked”, “caught up”, “cos-met-tics”, “half”. The weird accent goes in and out. It seems put on and artificial….and VERY annoying. This is horrible to listen to. It’s like a fusion of a bad impression of old Hollywood actresses and a bad British accent. Please, stop this.

    I seriously wish
podcasters could understand how much they undermine their own efforts with their vocal fry. (And/or ridiculous overenunciation, also present in this podcast.) What do I think of the content? Sorry, I can’t get past the vocal fry.

The Family That Shall Not Be Named
FTR, I really enjoy the show. Love pop culture stuff and trends. However, The You-Know-Who family needs to go bye-bye. Enough already about them. Their behavior is grotesque. If you don’t know to whom I am referring, too bad. I refuse to say their names as to ti give them anymore warrant less fame.

    Anatomy of Lies
Thanks for the episode about Elisabeth Finch. You were right: the documentary is absolutely worth seeing and tells the entire story in a way that captures the terrible human being she is, and the incredible woman who is Jenn Beyer.

    Episode on Megan Markle
Maybe I would have been more responsive to hearing a more unbiased podcast on MM history. I think for being a podcast the two hosts have good intentions to bring entertainment and authenticity.

    One of my favorites
This podcast is one of my favorites. Excellent journalism, interesting topics, easy to consume episodes— I look forward to each new theme. The hosts are intelligent and easy to listen to. To the person who said Natalie has a fake accent… maybe you’ve just never met a person born and then raised in multiple locations amongst multiple accents. Maybe they need to get out more.
  • Listener JM
    Fake accent
It is really difficult to listen the Natalie’s fake accent. It changes weekly. Please have Vanessa host the shows. There has to be a silent role Natalie can play for the listeners sanity. Thank you.

    Not Good
Not good in storytelling or production management. Really wanted to like this pod and it had a few good episodes. Overall it’s a complete mess, and I am done.
  • NanDrek
    Elon episode
I’m curious how the media (aka these podcasters) would like Elon to defend himself against said media? Where is he to tell his side of any story? Had any one who reports negatively ever tried to build or create anything? To manage people? To risk their own livelihood? Thank goodness for Elon and others like him who ignore the armchair “experts” not cheering them on.
  • It's Alyssa ok
    Newer episodes are eh
In my opinion, the newer episodes being released have been less organized, less in depth, and less interesting than the original ones. Really enjoyed many of the multiple part episodes near the beginning of the show — but finding it really hard to follow along lately. The talk show vibe doesn’t match the investigative journalism vibe like it use to.
  • buttercupster
Used to like this podcast BUT
Vanessa & Natalie had the AUDACITY to do an episode about fElon musty and the unhinged level of hero worship was so DISGUSTING i might never listen to this pod again. The tone with which they covered this absolute TOOL was BEYOND GROSS. This absolute waste of space is not only transphobic, misogynistic, racist, and downright DANGEROUS. I had formerly been a fan of Vanessa’s since her days at Rolling Stone but the fact that she would choose to not only do an episode about this non-human piece of trash but speak kindly about him made me lose all respect for her. I wish I could give this negative stars.

    Love this show!
Super interesting and fantastic storytelling, my only wish was that the topics were organized into seasons so they were easier to navigate.
  • PodRev2024
    Love this podcast!
You guys are top notch in research and storytelling. The episode on Matthew Perry is heartbreaking and very well presented. If I may say though, the one host who possibly did more research, as she’s answering questions throughout, she is speaking waaaay too fast. The flow sounds more like a briefing off-air on what the episode will be, rather than the real shabang. Required many rewinds.

    Excellent story telling
Ruby’s story is tragic. I can’t imagine what those poor children went through. The mother needs to stay in prison
  • Arizona Reviewer
    Needed more thorough Research
This is such a horrible story all together. Just heartbreaking for these poor kids. While this was informative, there was a lot that I felt lacked real research namely the Mormon church. The podcasters seemed to only interview Mormons who have clear chips on their shoulders (rightfully so, but still only bitter opinions). Would be nice to actually hear exactly what the church believes by someone who doesn’t have a chip on their shoulder. Some terms used didn’t seem to match what I’ve heard about the Mormon church so it didn’t match what I’ve learned. For example, the talk of Ruby trying to maybe take all the blame for the church? I don’t see it as that. It sounds that the church leaders saw this being bad what was happening with Ruby and maybe informed her to stop what she was “preaching”, but she refused to do so. This would be a cause for her apologizing for not listening. But as for the overall church paying this therapist, that would still be at a small level not an entire church level. The church area referring her as a therapist really failed. She clearly is a messed up woman. Seemed like real research lacked in some areas that could have been more enlightening. What a sad ongoing story. These women need to remain out of society for a long time.

Miles above any other podcast about Ruby Franke
Excellent interviews, super interesting background on LDS culture and momfluencing, establishes context and really helps you understand how something so horrible could occur.

People in Utah are so fame hungry and disgusting. I do not understand how it doesn’t go against their religion. I hope Ruby Frankie and whoever her protégé is/was that just got in trouble DIE in prison. I truly do.

    Horrible reporting
So many inaccuracies. I can’t trust anything you say. Ruby Franke ‘s story was/is horrific and can stand on its own, no need to embellish and ad falsehoods. You owe it to your listeners to do better research. It’s irresponsible.
