Ash is probably the only person who could have replaced Tim and kept me listening.

    My New Favorite Pod
There’s so much industry (hate that word) knowledge packed into this well-paced charcuterie board of a video game podcast, that you could watch/listen to it twice. They also delve into comic books, manga, anime, movies, TV shows, video game history, tech, etc. So much of this stuff flies over my head, so I’m glad that Ash can function as the relative layman of the group. She just like me fr! Also shout out to the video version of the pod and Esper’s incredible work there!
  • FreeParking
Ash is a great addition to a fun panel.
The host says the most random hilarious things. I like how they don’t do the old whatcha been playing and news segments like other podcasts. It somehow remains relevant to current events but also celebrates retro games.

    Thoughtfully Ridiculous
The insights occasionally reached by working through some silly question are often worthwhile, more than one might expect. Always fun to listen to. Pacing is good. Encourages me to engage with video games as art objects, which I want to do but often lack the mental toolkit.

    The DEFINITIVE video game podcast
This show is far and away the best podcast I listen to. EXPERTLY produced, hosted and co-hosted. Everyone involved is witty, funny and dense with knowledge. If you have any interest in games in both a historic or modern context there is no better place to call home. Thank you for all your hard-work and effort!

A gaming podcast worth listening to
Great banter, great topics, knowledgeable people, buzzer that scares me sometimes when causally listening to. Starting watching this show for Tim but have grown to love everyone else and what they have to say. Hope it never ends.

    Otherwise Great podcast.

    Wowah
The best video game podcast around. Frank consistently laughs at things that aren’t funny (regular sentences that he says himself) and doesn’t laugh at things that are funny (jokes) which is weird but boy oh boy do the other three rule. Great magazine, keep it up gang!

    Violence Island
Little behind on episodes, but I figured I’d vote anyway. Please retire Violence Island, ideally replacing it with something else in the future if y’all can workshop a new idea that the whole crew is passionate about (or intrigued by, at the very least). Violence Island was great, but you can tell a segment has run its course when the panelists can no longer engage with it in a playful or insightful way. Perhaps it can make a nostalgic comeback someday, but for now, please give it a much-needed rest. Thank you.

    Excellent Fun Video Game Jokery
I really think Insert Credit is one of the best audio magazines. It's fun and sometimes the panelists drop some deep knowledge that I enjoy. Give it a listen, it's body time. I personally like Violence Island and want it to stay.

    Great time
The regular hosts are all a delight, even if one of them routinely has terrible video game opinions. My favorite podcast in the hobby. Violence island would be better as any other segment. Tim’s refrain of “who cares?” is almost always correct. Get it out of here.

    Closest cleanest restroom
I like how this podcast let me know they don’t have young children or IBS by not knowing where the closest cleanest restroom was. Mine is a used bookstore called Toadvine that is walking distance from my house. Love the show!

    Fun show! Sometimes about games
More violence island please! Also, fun show with a great sense of humor! Podcast is very much about the history and culture around video games and tends to focus a lot on Japanese games. A lot of technical game design talk, as well.

one of only two podcasts that i can stand to listen to (the other was called Girls Chat). thank you for making this
  • Proggybreaks
The man on the podcast told me to do this
Do you like video games? Do you like thought experiments? Do you care about Fortnite? Would you like to trick your lonely brain into feeling like you are hanging out with a group old friends who are expert video game developers, historians, and critics with encyclopedic knowledge of the subject? If your answers to these questions are “Yes” “Yes” “No”, and “What?” this podcast may be for you!

    Buff the buzzer
Engaging, well-paced podcasting with expert hosts, but would be more engaging and better-paced if the question times were shorter and the buzzer was way louder.

Great content, but ruined by unnecessary time limits
The topics discussed on the show are great as though it’s about video games it takes a more nuanced and film literacy take on the topic. They also really appreciate games and media that we’re not necessarily groundbreaking, but important and enjoyable nonetheless. However, the show is ruined by the host’s constant need to shut down conversation and move on to a new topic. it makes no sense why a podcast needs to be limited in a timeframe. This is further harmed when the host feels the need to jump in midsentence, while the other panelists are discussing a topic to move on often at the expense of not being able to get to a point being addressed. It also leads to some very awkward and uncomfortable cuts where it seems like the host is actually bothered by the discussion being held. It’s very unfortunate. The panelists are obviously very educated on the topics so just let them talk.
