Priscilla Talk - A podcast by 9Marks

Priscilla Talk, a conversation to help women thrive in the local church.

Why Priscilla Talk? Priscilla encouraged others to know the way of God more accurately and partnered with her husband and the apostle Paul to build up local churches and spread the gospel to the nations. We want to emulate her and encourage you to do the same.

    Episodes on the local church
I always look forward to new episodes. As a widow and former pastor/missionary spouse I especially have appreciated the episodes on the church as I have a deep love for the local church cultivated in part by my late husband. Thank you and keep them coming !

    Edifying and down to earth
I am so thankful for this podcast! It helps me to set my mind in truth amidst the every day things I am doing (cleaning, laundry, holding a baby) and I appreciate Jenny, Erin, and Keri in their honesty, openness, and down to earthness. I feel like I’m just getting to learn from three older sisters in the faith and I am thankful!!

    A Theological Podcast for Women
I love the topics that have been discussed and the fact that the goal isn’t fluffy, glittery suburban soccer mom Christianity— but the goal is growing a robust, biblical community of faithful women. A few topics I’d like to see that weren’t represented in “seasons of life” would be infertility, chronic illness, and caring for aging parents. Those are HUGE realities for women, and it can feel isolating when you don’t “fit” into categories in the church community for those reasons. I personally am a young wife (4 years married), have chronic illness (endometriosis PCOS, Hashimoto’s), and am currently walking through a season of infertility (3 years now). I’ve had two surgeries and hundreds of blood tests, medications, doctors appointments. Infertility is tough emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially, and often it can seem like women in this season don’t have the same support and care as new moms or young wives.

Such a bolster to my everyday Christian walk
I appreciate the sound theological truths explored in these podcasts, framed in the context of everyday life. It’s sober-minded about truth, yet presented in a way that is also joyfully-inclined— of which, as a pastor’s wife who is also a stay-at-home-mom, I often am in desperate need. I am incredibly grateful to have good material to help set my mind on good things as I get housework done or exercise, or just just have a good old dose of encouragement as I drink my coffee (or matcha) in the morning. :) (Anyone who has listened long enough knows that they always ask guest speakers how they take their coffee or tea!)

    Thank you!
Just wanted to say thank you for this podcast! Especially the latest episode with Natalie. The encouragement of “pastors wives pastoring” their husbands who pastor their church really encouraged me as a pastors wife. Thanks for making me feel seen and encouraging my own pursuit of the lord.

    Doctrinally rich, for women
I’m looking forward to hearing more of this podcast and the coming series. Having a doctrinally rich podcast geared toward women is an encouragement to me. The hosts are relatable, but also practical, sharing how the issues they discuss impact their lives.

Thank you so much for finally putting out a podcast for women. I’ve been listening to Pastors Talk for years and have been dying for something similar for pastors’ wives and other women in the church. Thank you thank you!

    This is exciting!
I listen to 9Marks other podcasts; even the ones written for pastors. I am a girl and certainly not a pastor so this is a very welcome addition.
