knocknameyStop monopolizing the GUEST’s timeYikes, Kevin, you spend WAY TOO MUCH TIME talking and not letting THE GUEST, who is the reason we podcast listers are LISTENING, get a word in edgewise. This is an all-too-common pitfall of podcast hosts. Far better: ask good brief questions then shut up and let the GUEST talk.

SuperMadBabySo, so good…I love these interviews. I love Kevin. He knows this business and has a wealth of information yet remains genuinely fascinated by it. I’m instantly engaged by his curiosity and charm. He’s open and earnest and respectful but dives deep. And you know these are friends. Feels like eavesdropping on a really great dinner conversation.

stevecallahanPerfect For Film BuffsAfter reading Kevin’s book, I tried his podcast and I’m hooked. As a film fanatic, I’m interested in the behind the scenes stories about filmmaking. This podcast is great! With a casual, conversational style, Kevin talks to the biggest players in Hollywood. Their stories and insight are truly illuminating. It’s fun to hear directors and producers talk about their projects years after the fact, with some hindsight, rather than the typical interviews that happen during a press junket.

FilmFanFluencerTerrific Podcast Series for Movie BuffsConversations with luminaries who have made it big in Hollywood are truly engaging. I loved listening to Graham King talk about showing Bohemian Rhapsody to Freddie Mercury’s sister, Andy Marx on going through the archives of his grandfather, Groucho’s TV show and director/producer David Leitch’s early career as a stunt double for Brad Pitt. Kevin Goetz is a talented interviewer and it’s fun to get a glimpse into the world of movie test screenings. I’m hooked!

JamesJimmyJXJMovies are really made after the shooting stopsThis excellent podcast reveals the closed-door process of how movies are cut and re-cut in response to audience testing. And so much more - it’s a window into the people, personalities and process of Hollywood presented by a masterful and experienced host.

digital guruGreat for Film FansIf you are a fan of film, Kevin gives a real insider’s point of view. While an industry insider, he’s also a real fan. It’s so much fun to listen to. You’ll learn so much. He’s got a very approachable style as an interviewer. It’s a side of film history and process you don’t hear much about. It’s a great follow-up to his book.

Bdp12345Hooked!I could not get enough!! Bohemian Rhapsody is one of my favorite biopic!!! My four old grandson Carter’s in favorite song is “We will Rock You.” He can sing every lyric and I look forward to the day he is old enough toIntroduce the movie and Freddie Mercury to him. I enjoyed hearing Graham King talk about the atmosphere of the audience as he looks for more than the process of a test screening. I also did not realize Martin Scorsese instilled in Graham at the beginning of his career the importance of test screening in front of an audience. I look forward to each Podcast of “Don't Kill the Messenger.” Kevin Goetz really dives deep with the guest and expertise of the test screening in the film/tv industry will be knowledgeable to all who listens. Happy Birthday Leonardo DiCaprio!!!
