    Great listen!
I am re-watching “The Wire” for the umpteenth time and this podcast is a great supplement to the show. Method Man does a fabulous job of hosting and getting to the essence of why “The Wire” is one of the best shows (if not the best) of all time. Just quality all around.

Happy to see so much love for my favorite show of all time! I’ve watched it embarrassedly watch it at least half a dozen times. Currently watching again and listening to the pod. Perfect show. But now I can’t help but wonder what it would look like if Lance Reddick (RIP one of best) was cast as Bubbles!

    Overjoyed!
I was just so thrilled when I saw that this podcast was up. I have watched all seasons of The Wire at least 6 times, and I love the interviews with the actors and creators behind the scenes. I love to hear all of the stories about what was going on during filming. I love to hear about how the series got started and about the message it was trying to convey of the culture and the struggles of Baltimore. I’m a fan of Homicide, and We Own This City, painting a clear picture of decades of life on the streets of Baltimore. Thank you for this podcast! Will recommend it to all of my friends who are fans of the show!

    Wow!
This whole show was awesome. One of my best friends who passed away awhile ago introduced me to the Wire on the premiere of season 5 for a watch party, in the hood. Afterwards, i skipped the entire week of classes and watched every episode so that I would be caught up on the story. JY was one of my best friends, he put me on this show and I want the following (hopefully) true story to live on forever: JY was running lights for a jam band at a festival that also had the WuTang Clan on the bill. He’s backstage loading equipment after their set, when “Cheese” arrives. JY walks up to Meth, and just says “Why you gotta do Prop-Joe like that?” Meth laughed, and invited JY to the WuTang compound. Crazy story, but it’s why I still love this show and remember him for crazy stories like this. Love you Homie! RIP JCY

    Before I bump
Before I bump, I just wanted to say that I’ve loved every season of the word from jump. The series is as important today as it was when it first appeared. Thank you for this companion podcast. I’ll be waiting for Meth to host the 40th anniversary edition!

    Where’s Kima?
Really enjoyed this podcast, but I was surprised not to hear anything about Kima, or really any of the women characters, including Ronnie.

    A celebration
Insights from the producers, directors and some of the cast are of the sort that a Wire fanatic craves. Tales of the camaraderie and respect between cast members are also heartwarming and often pretty amusing. Meth’s hosting can be a little contrived but he otherwise navigates the varied themes and interviews of the series well. The biggest surprise is that Idris Elba’s swoll head is able to fit down the dodgy phone line he uses.

    Best 20th Anny Wire Podcast
This is a great podcast about the series. Better than the others celebrating the 20th anniversary of the show. I didn’t realize Method Man was this good at the whole podcasting game, either. There have been a lot of tidbits about the show I first heard here. You sort of see a lot of the characters/actors for who they are, specifically the stories about Michael K. Williams are best. Wendell Pierce, Clarke Peters and Andre Royo also seem like solid people and good storytellers about the show, probably the better ones in the podcast series. I’m looking forward to the last few episodes of the series as they are going to be good.

Good listen if you are into The Wire
If you’ve seen it and enjoyed it, you’ll probably like this podcast. Very cool to hear all of the cast look back on a truly special show. I know it’s said a lot but it is truly the greatest show ever!

The podcast that I didn’t know I needed!
The Wire is the only drama that I return to over and over again. I knew first episode that The Wire was different. Now I am gonna go back and watch The Wire again. You always see something different when you rewatch the series. I am excited about the podcast as I am a poddie from way back this podcast fills a void.

    20 Years!!!
I was a community based advocate in Baltimore for 6 years from Cherry Hill to Edmondson Village to Highlandtown literally every neighborhood in the city then a middle school teacher for 3 years at Highlandtown Middle School until 1999. This is by far the most realistic/best show to ever be produced. Everything is REAL. Love that Cheese is the host of this podcast and appreciate the guests and commentary from David Simon and Ed Burns. Can watch this show over and over.

Never cared about so many characters…
Not in Shakespeare or Tolstoy or any movie or series or anything. Absolutely stunning work of art. Almost unbearably poignant yet compulsively watchable. To have Method Man hosting and gathering cast and crew - literally delighted this is being produced.

    Best show ever made, period!!!
By far the best show I’ve ever seen, and it isn’t even close. The realism and humanity that was on display for 5 seasons is unmatched.

Been waiting for a official Wire podcast. Being a Maryland resident this show spoke heavily to me. Especially S4, I was on of those kids. This my 100th time watching the show and another viewing is on the way. ALL THE PIECES MATTER- Freeman ‘We back up’- Stringer Bell
