    Good Stuff!
This is above and beyond the most interesting baseball podcast out there. It answers questions I didn't even know I had about all the behind the scenes stuff. I've listened to the whole season twice through and recommend it to anyone with even a passing interest in the game. I didn't really know Jimmy and Ron before this, but they are insightful and personable with a wealth of intergenerational knowledge. Good work, dudes!

    Extremely Well Done
For the baseball who yearns for more Jimmy Rollins and Ron Darling deliver with this podcast. Love how they’re able to bring in their own experiences or those of their guests to explain the unwritten. Hope MLB and Auducy keep this going—It’s awesome.

    Awesome
I hope this pod comes back for a second season. It is such a joy to hear these two legends of different baseball generations share so much BTS and their hilarious takes on it all. Could listen endlessly.

Unwritten - Best baseball podcast available!!
My favorite sports podcast by far. I only wish it was more than once a week and I was so bummed when the show ended for the season. I’m listening to the show while on my morning run. I have become a big fan of both Jimmy Rollins and Ron Darling. If there was a way to give a higher rating than five stars I would do so. hope to see more of you next spring. Go St Louis Cardinals

A must listen for all baseball fans
This show is fascinating. I’ve learned a great deal about baseball. I hope this show continues. Ron and Jimmy do a fine job sharing their MLB experiences. I’d like them to get more guests on the show.

    New fav podcast
Hosts are great, content is great, this has quickly become my favorite podcast. Love the insight into what it’s like to be a professional ball player.

Dirty Slide? Much clearer to me now - the Fan pays the price
Good content from a couple of experts. A Fan’s prospective is always going to be on the side of there team. Players however, understand the way it should be played. Lowering my rating after esp. 18 - These millionaires have lost in their greed. “It’s a Business” is a cop out. They talk about how much money they make and never mention that the Fans are paying the bill. Hundreds of dollars for a decent seat is nothing for these guys, heck, they probably get the bests seats for free. I have no illusions that you will actually read this, but maybe you guys should do an unwritten episode on paying it forward. I’m still a loyal fan and always will be.

    Is Aaron Judge on Steroids?
It is a known part of the game, it has history that makes it relevant. Judge and Stanton certainly look like they are on Steroids. Are they? There is a 6% chance that are not on steroids. Please address this unwritten and secret aspect of baseball.

    The Best
A great podcast for all fans. Every episode is a winner and speaks to the kind of insider insights that baseball fans love. Darling and Rollins are a great combo and the guess are really well-chosen. You can hear how much they enjoy it too.

Unwritten: Put It In The Books
My favorite, and surely one of the best Podcasts. Period. Ron Darling is one of the best baseball media personalities, although it seems he’s a bit uncomfortable with that moniker. Gary, Keith and Ron are simply the best broadcasting team in baseball today— and yesterday as well. Their collective statistical recall, strategic insight, practical analysis and humorous camaraderie always add to my enjoyment of the game. Ron takes all that and transfers it to Unwritten. He and JRoll (who, frankly, I never really liked until I made it through my second episode) have a great rapport. JRoll is surprisingly and refreshingly honest and expository. He has no problem talking straight from the hip and heart. He’s definitely one of my favorites now. Their topics are always about things most of us fans think about at times, but never really have answers or understanding— until now. They and their guests offer a true and real look into parts of baseball that we rabid fans are never able to see. Their banter and engagement with their guests make you feel like you are sitting in a room with them, and they’re waiting for you to join them. I hope this series continues for a long time. With the long history of the game and the storied careers of these two (and the great people they have on the show), there’s enough fodder out there to keep this going, and their fans engaged and hungry for more, for a long time to come. Guys, find a topic that would be great to talk about with Bobby V.! Thanks Ron. Thanks JRoll.

    Good mix!
Have to admit, huge JRoll fan so I’m prejudiced. Like that there is a position player and pitcher discussing the rules. I also like that there are players from two different eras to give some different perspectives. Darling is pretty good … for a Met (lol).

    Who was this?
Live the podcast. My guess, Ron, that the player who spit tobacco juice on your pants was Lenny Dykstra?

Really enjoy this podcast. It provides me with knowledge about behind the scenes in professional baseball.

I love baseball, and this was a good podcast about baseball until…
I love baseball, and this was a good podcast about baseball until they called white people backwards and rednecks foolish. I stopped the podcast (episode 11 at about the 37 minute mark I think) deleted the episode, and unsubscribed. To the authors: you shouldn’t make such generalizations. They are divisive, untrue and harmful.

    hilarious stories
Great job of telling it like it is, with humor, heart, and history. Helps you see what makes baseball a unique sport full of diverse, quirky personalities.

    Episode suggestion
Hi Jimmy and Ron, would you please explore the way announcers jinx games? It always seems as soon as the announcer says a player is having a hitting streak, defensive plays, no strike outs, etc. the opposite happens in the game.

    Awesome podcast
As someone who grew up playing the game I love this podcast! A weekly listen for sure. Great job Jimmy and Ron!

    Well done!
Not for the casual fan but great for the baseball junkie. Ron and Jim do a great job and have some interesting guests. An enjoyable listen.
  • tominco
Had high hopes but falls flat.
This sounded like it could be such an interesting show, but it is just boring. Ron and Jimmy don’t work well together, and Ron especially is just dull. When I listen have the feeling that Ron Darlling has no real interest in the show and is being forced to do this. Just bad presentation.

    Love it
I look forward to listening to Ronnie and Jimmy. I think they do a good job of explaining and the topics are awesome! Keep it up.
  • BigHaakDaddyAloha
    My new favorite podcast
I love that MLB lets Jimmy & Ron and guests say what they want and it’s not sugarcoated.

    Wonderful stories and hosts
I love this podcast. Ron and Jimmy are terrific and the stories they share about their own experiences as players as well as those that area part of the history of the great game of baseball are just fantastic. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and love of the game. You’ve sent me searching for clips of some of the plays and moments you’ve described. If you love baseball you will love Unwritten Rules.

    Metadata needs to be fixed
It’s a small point but some episodes are numbered and some aren’t, confusing. Clean up the metadata please. Ronnie and Jimmy deserve better.

    Great Storytelling

Love this podcast it’s so interesting!!

    Fantastic
Hands down my new favorite podcasts. Only complaint is that it’s too short at times. I love how they bridge traditional (old school) baseball with todays game. Terrific

So glad I found this podcast!
Ron and Jimmy have a great rapport and the topic is a lot of fun!

    best I’ve found
Love baseball and love podcasts but other than the late Eddie Robinson’s podcast I haven’t found one that I like, until Unwritten. I’ve only heard the first episode about the hard slide, it’s definitely part of my baseball memory, but hoping the episodes to follow will be just as informative and enjoyable. Great job guys! Thanks for giving something back to the game and the fans who knew you when. All the best!

    I love this stuff
I think this is a great idea, great show, and very interesting content. I totally nerd out on these sorts of things.

What a Great Show for TRUE Baseball Fans!
I LOVE baseball. Not just my team, but the game and it’s history. Ron and Jimmy give us fans something more than the books by baseball historians do. They give us behind the scenes stories that only former players can give - and they are SO brutally honest. Love the way they converse with each other and still keep the listener involved.
  • DLROW99
    Great stories, Great premise, but….
The sound mixing is annoying. i turn up the volume to understand the dialog between the hosts, then… DISCOUNT !!!SUNGLASSES !!!COMMERCIAL!!!!!!
  • Blues__Purist
Good content, but production has to step up
The first couple episodes have been good. It’s a good idea for a show and the hosts tell the stories well enough. But in the second episode, the ads were 2X as loud as the content audio. This is bush league, someone’s got to be watching the meter, folks.
  • Marykatie
    Great show!
If you love baseball, or if you just like to hear two pros exchange fascinating and often very funny stories, this is the podcast! Ron is great, and as a lifelong Phillies fan, it’s great to hear Jimmy anytime!

    Retribution in the Post Season
I enjoyed the episode with Larry Bowa on retribution. Someone commented that they were unaware of it happening in the post season. Ask Billy Hatcher if Dave Steward didn’t plunk him because of Hatchers 7 consecutive hits or did Stew just have one slip.
  • Original_DR3
    Such a great show!
Ron and Jimmy are great together and the stories are so good. Not everyday do you get a peak behind the curtain especially the unwritten parts of sports. Larry Bowa is a gem for the ages. Absolutely love his stories and Jimmy’s about Tony Larussa. Can’t wait to here more.
  • Rdelmar32
    Best combo in the game
Never would have pictured these two together - but it is dynamite. Great series, funny, insightful, 100% worth the listen.
