Mr Jake SnakeGreat StoriesThoroughly enjoy putting the headphones in, going for a hike or run and just letting the stories captivate me. Thanks for the great entertainment! Love to hear about fellow adventurers.

Bubba405Perfect podcast for long runsAlthough the runners that Ben selects for his show are all inspirational, Ben is the superstar of this podcast with the perfect format, his detailed research and awesome interview skills. I love this show and can’t wait for Season 2.

cvd3045Relatable, inspiring storiesI recently discovered this podcast, and am enjoying it immensely! As someone who has finished in the bottom 5-10% of the handful of ultras I’ve done, it’s super inspiring to hear stories of back of the packers struggling against the odds to crush crazy distances. The interviewing style is warm and inviting, the stories are gripping, keep it up Ben!

KlaussteinGreat podcast focusing on those of us not at the front.I love my podcasts while training, but it gets a little old hearing about all the fast runners. Being a back of the packer we are sometimes forgotten. Not on Chasing Cutoffs. The guests stories are awesome. Keep up the great work.

etoinshrdluRunning podcast for the rest of usFinally a running/ultrarunning podcast that digs deep into the courage, grit, and heroism on display at the back of the pack.

RussellMania58RussellMania58Yes! I’m slow and I know it! A great pod for like-minded and like-footed trail Clydesdales. I have enjoyed all episodes so far. Found it mentioned on Northwest Dirtchurners monthly newsletter. Keep up the great content.

AndrewGutiGreat InterviewerThis has quickly become my favorite ultra running podcast. As a back of the packer it’s great to hear people’s experiences who are like me. It’s motivating. I also appreciate Ben as an interviewer. He actually asks questions and let’s the guest speak. I also appreciate the humor. It’s risky. Trying to be funny and missing the mark makes for a cringe-worthy podcast, but Ben is actually hilarious. Keep up the good work!

bookfaerieAwesome!I absolutely love this podcast! Ben is a great host and his “advertisements” are hilarious (and my kids love them too). I am very far from an elite runner, and hearing the stories of these runners are so amazingly inspiring. Thanks for all the hard work Ben!!!

Intermittently fastTop Notch PodcastBen and Producer Daisy are the best!!! Such a fan of the Race in Pieces series and of the assorted "sponsors" that Ben and his team drum up. 🤣😳 Production quality, content, cadence--it's all top notch, but so is the premise! I *love* this idea of "flipping the script on fast." Way to celebrate the back of the pack, Ben!

Karen3527YES!!!I love podcasts that show the actual struggle that runners go through…because it’s not all about running and magically qualifying for the olympics. It can be heartbreaking and brutal but can be turned around to show such a positive story. Love what Ben Mead bring to the runners!

longrundudeA podcast for us, back of the packI listen to many running podcasts and this one is a very good addition to the list. Beyond stories of races, Ben has a talent to make people’s stories very interesting to listen to. It’s really refreshing to hear from others than elite runners that get so much attention. I hope this pod will go on for a long time.

Sunflower DayzLove this podcast!I just recently found this podcast and have already binged it! As a slow non-podium runner myself, it’s so nice to hear the stories of other runners like me. Our running stories are similar to elite runners’; the only difference being no one cares about our stories because we aren’t getting glamour and glory. It’s easy as a DFL runner to not feel like a “real runner” but here we are…showing up, being gritty, falling down, getting back up, giving it our best each time and crossing these finish lines—what a metaphor for life!! Thank you so much for this podcast!! I love love love hearing these runners’ stories! It is so inspiring! Can’t wait to listen to the next episode!!

podlewaddleGreat interviews!Ben is a natural behind the mic. He asks engaging and thoughtful questions that really illustrate his passion for the running community! I love how he highlights all the things that really matter to most of the runners on the trail instead of just regurgitating stats and platitudes like so many running podcasts. Wonderful show with great sound quality.

pdcrunnerRelatable! This podcast has great conversations, shows the power of the running community, highlights the tenacity of ordinary people, and is just so inspiring. Laugh and cry and learn something new on your next run.

Mandy_the_StormGreat show!!As the self proclaimed Queen of the DFL, this podcast hits the sweet spot of what I want to listen to! I may or may not have teared up a few times while listening. That tells me the stories were told in an amazing way by a fantastic host! Can’t wait to listen to more episodes while training for my upcoming 100k which I am guessing I will end up on the DFL podium! Thanks to Ben the hobbled host for switching the script on slow!!!

Jen Lynn WSlow is go!I ran my first trail half marathon today and Chasing Cutoffs was the perfect listen! Thank you having a podcast dedicated to those of who are slow but still want to push our bodies to do hard things!

The Running UniversityParty is in the back! Finally someone to help people understand that speed is not the only way to measure our running success! Running is intimidating enough as it is and people need to know that there are a lot of us cool runners out there doing epic sh%* As a beginner and recreational running coach, I love that Ben helps people realize that there is so much more to speed in running! His guests are real runners that provide a whole new level of inspiration! Regardless of whether you are a back of the packer or not, this podcast is sure to inspire you! Coach Lisa 😊

AllergyARNPFinally! I feel represented on a running podcast! As a back of the pack runner myself, I really enjoy listening to stories from others who share the unique perspective of being chased by cutoffs. The casual banter between the guests and Ben is light and easy to listen to. Highly recommend!

RryynnExcellentI accidentally gave you a 2 star review, so I hope you can change it. I’m sorry if that affected your ratings. I pressed on the wrong stars and it automatically submitted it, but this podcast is definitely a 5 star podcast!! I loved listening about Coley Dains and his life experiences to becoming a trail runner in Australia. His story was relatable, inspiring as he talked about the struggle and joy of being a back of the pack runner. That’s the story of my life so I loved it. Great questions and such a positive podcast that I look forward to following and listening to more!! I highly recommend this podcast and will definitely share it!!

DBOW1018A MUST ListenYES! A podcast that finally talks to “everyday” people, with big goals, that chase cutoffs, and get the most for their money! Give it a listen, you won’t be disappointed.

BeckyJeanDeanFinally a voice from beyond the podium 😎I am loving this podcast!! It is hard to be all in as an ultra runner and not finish at the front or even the middle of the pack and still walk away from a trail race with pride. It should always be a celebration completing an ultra marathon or really any endeavor that pushes our limits. Finally - we have a voice beyond the podium and the front of the pack. The format is fantastic with a story like feel and I am excited to hear more stories highlighting races and the epic views from the back of the pack. Thank you for this gem 🙌 !!
