Absolutely love Darin Starks! I’ve been listening to the Just Different Podcast since 2022 with him and his brother. I am so glad he continues to spread the gospel through The Disciples Journal. Him and his brother influenced my walk with Christ and I’m so thankful God led me to them. 100/10 person and podcast. Darin dives deep into the word and explains it in so many unique ways. He’s helped me lean more into discipleship and navigating life as a follower of Christ.

I have been listening to this podcast for a minute and started from episode 1 because the first one I heard was so good! I love all the wisdom bombs you two drop and I am so sad to see the podcast end 😭 However, I am excited for both of you on your new journey and I will be tuning in to the new music and new podcast!

I genuinely like this podcast. I love how vulnerable and unafraid to speak on even the hot topics both of the host are. As a fellow creator myself, I appreciate all the antidotes about just real life, real raw experiences that all of us go through, but are always in a space where we can talk about it openly. Lastly, I commend them for how their sermons are rooted in the word, or something that is relatable so that at the end of the day, the focus is on God. Too often we focus on what God can do for us rather than what we can do for him, and I love how they had a healthy balance of both.

These guys really make you feel as if you’re listening to close friends giving you advice based in the faith and it’s truly inspiring to listen to.

It’s so refreshing to hear two young men talk about God and how He has moved in their lives. I enjoy and learn from each and every episode. My favorites are definitely with your parents! You all together are hilarious!

I really wanted to like them because of their topics but the colorism and self-hate/anti black women stuff was too much . I encourage people to follow the More Purpose podcast if you want young black men perspective!

I’m 28 so significantly older than both of these men, but I get SO much from them every week. They are wise beyond their years and TRUE examples and a testament to what men of God should be and could be. I’ve listened to every single EP and genuinely feel like they are my friends at this point. Praying for both of you! May God continue to strengthen you and use you.

It’s so easy to get caught up in this world and there’s weeks when we don’t have time for fellowship, but this helps me surround myself with fellow children of God

I’m a female millennial and I find it hard to relate to many people spreading the gospel on social media. I’ve been a follower for at least a year and the way these brothers are relatable to the culture yet speak so boldly about the word of God is truly inspiring. I have noticed so much growth over time and I pray that the message they are spreading about the good news continues to reach the masses.

I started listening to this podcast maybe a few months ago and it always gives me what I need. The honesty and transparency is great. The way these two brothers talk about God and his goodness. The testimony and experiences that are shared. The gospel music that is suggested or listened to. This Podcast really is just different! I love how everything ties into real world experiences and I can understand what is being talked about and broken down. This is a must listen. I am so excited to see where God continues to take this podcast and these two young men. I am only 24 but I feel like there is so much wisdom that comes from this podcast and gems that are dropped that I am able to study and take with me! Definitely worth the listen in my opinion! Thank you for helping me continually grow in Christ!

I started out watching clips of the Just Different Podcast on Tik Tok and it stood out to me because it was so interesting to see people who were young like me speaking about Jesus passionately. They actually had real individual relationships with God and it was very inspirational to me. I’ve since subscribed to the YouTube and listen to the full episodes and it has become a part of my daily routine. I listen while I get ready in the mornings for school and it helps me to start off my day focused and motivated. I’m so glad I stumbled across this podcast, it’s truly been a blessing to me and I hope it continues to grow to bless many more.

The podcast started off great . One episode made me delete everything though.Can’t remember the episode but the were saying something is a sin and isn’t a sin at the same time . Which is impossible to be . I added the podcast back two weeks ago . Today , again.. it’s just a lot of luckwarmness in these episodes . I know everybody doesn’t know everything..myself as well & Hopefully we all get better . Great and well spoken young men though.

Thank you soooo much for being open and honest. I am going through this same thing. After being in habitual sin with my fiancé. The Lord put it on my heart to end the relationship because of my fiancés lack of Godly sorrow. I felt so grieved before the Lord when we would fall and he would be annoyed with my grief. I realized that someone who could feel so little about leading our relationship into sin against each other and God would probably not feel that strongly about leading our relationship and family in a path of righteousness. Please do not feel condemned! The fact that you actually care means that God is giving you a heart of repentance. That is what he has given me and he is leading me on a journey of repentance. God brought me to psalm 32 and showed me that His role in my season of confession and repentance is my hiding place protector instructor/teacher and counselor! Meditating on that psalm has helped me to go to God for comfort protection, next steps and understanding of myself and the situation, instead of turning to my usual coping mechanisms - social media, tv and friends who tell me what I want to hear. The Lord has also given me Isaiah 30! That passage is so powerful and verse 15 says “in repentance and rest is your salvation in quietness and trust is your strength.” And that has been my prayer, for a continuously repentant and restful heart and a quiet and trusting spirit. I am praying for you! There is now no condemnation! Go and sin no more brother and let the Lord do the deep hard work in your mind spirit and soul! Don’t end up like me 29 and calling off a whole engagement 😅🤦🏾‍♀️. Thank God for the cross! We’re in this together.

This episode really hit! The first part was really needed! It’s time to let some things go!! And as for music, I’m slowly moving away a from “secular” music but I’m still holding on to a few RnB songs/artists. This was another all around good episode!

“Addicted to independence” is a gem 💎. I feel like I relate to y’all with every episode. We don’t really see people in our generation trying to implement Gods teachings in real life situations.
