John McClernanAwesome !Awesome listen, awesome guests, and overall a great podcast for all things hunting. I am from and hunt suburban NJ, but I hunt the PA mountains too. I get a ton of info from the podcast.

DonnieDoodLiberal Political AdTurned on a podcast and heard an Ad for Kamala. Immediately turned it off.

MACd #1Guest are Incredible…HOSTS are hard to listen tooThe guests are the Industry Leaders in the Outdoors with great information. The hosts do not know how to conduct a conversation! They talk over one another and even cut off the guest at times. First rule of a Podcast…you talk then I talk.

J136383Elitist hunterNever heard a more elitist hunter podcast than the one with Spook Spann. That guy isn’t a true hunter, he’s just a killer. He doesn’t hunt for the love of the game he hunts for the inches plain and simple. He wants extra tags to take deer off the landscape that could potentially wander onto his neighbors property that his neighbor would be more than happy with. The guy is all about the pay to play game when it comes to hunting and doesn’t actually care about the health of the animal or the health of the hunting culture. All that guy cares about is getting a big racked buck which is just sad. It’s also sad to never see any of you podcasters stand up to him and tell him what he needs to hear.

NCHunter24Really wanted to like this. After 4 episodes, I’m done.Started off very excited about this. Was looking for intentional, practical, and helpful conversation about how to be a better hunter. While I will say there have been some good nuggets from it, I can’t give it more than 1 star for a couple reasons. 1) these guys interrupt each other ALL THE TIME. It’s annoying / frustrating. Even their guests…they get cut off constantly. 2) along with #1, a level of arrogance / ignorance about what the typical American hunter has access too. Saying things like the guy who only has 5 acres…”well too bad for that guy.” The guy that can’t commit to planting food plots due to property size or access to equipment - “well that’s their problem. If you care about it, then you’ll make time for it.” They just come across as tools who, like so many of the main stream media hunters, belittle anyone who can’t hunt on their level.

MagnumRabbitFor serious bow hunters!!Been listening for years always look forward to the new shows awesome guest all the time.

Str8arrowsAwesome podcastAwesome podcasts guys. I tune in every week and I enjoy the content you guys share! Thank you and good luck this season boys!

EliMS55Guys being dudes 🤙🏼The conversation, the controversy, the whitetail knowledge. As someone who is seeking to learn about hunting deer, just starting my hunting journey a few years ago, this has been a go-to podcast for me that’s not only informative, but also incredibly entertaining. I’m Team Mathews, but still love listening to these guys and their guests!

Spitfire362Love the podcast, butI would really enjoy it to hear about hunting with kids. I am a 10-year-old in Kansas and I would like to start the sport of deer hunting with a bow. I really appreciate some good bows for kids and would like it if you guys got some people on the podcast to talk about hunting with kids or at least have your kids on the Podcasts

DudeWhoKnows1Rude Know-It-AllsZero stars if it were an option. If you like to constantly cringe, this is your podcast. Hosts have no manners/respect for guests and the time they give to record an episode. Very unproductive and redundant conversations that consist of opinions only with no factual evidence/info provided. All hypotheticals and “what if’s” on each topic being discussed. If wasting time, attention, and patience is your jam, then this podcast should fit just right. On site. Mind your manners boys, and have a little self awareness. Read other reviews. Fact not opinion.

HunterDotson27Talking DeerI have friends that hunt but not many that have the same passion I do. It’s nice to be able to listen to guys who share the passion of deer. Makes the off season that more bearable. Thanks guys
-
jlconant10Fantastic Discussion with Dan GatesThe HUNTR crew hosted a fantastic deep dive discussion on the fight against anti-hunting initiatives with Dan Gates from CRWM. Definitely the best conversation I have heard on the topic so far. Appreciate you guys!
-
Crankshaft82Very poor hostingThe podcast seems to be well produced, but very poorly hosted. They somehow get really high profile guests on to listen to hosts ramble about “hot takes”. Definitely feels like the podcast is built for reels/tik toks and lacks the depth of a real back and forth conversation. More focus on the art of podcasting and less focus on social media grabs would be great.

Kboot12221Great guests. Same stumbling blocks.I have listened to over a half dozen full episodes and numerous partial episodes. The guests are great and bring varied knowledge and experience to the discussion. No grade inflation as I look at three stars as average. My personal take is that I find it difficult to listen with all the interruptions from Jared. Jeremy too at times falls in to this. I inevitably say to myself, “Let them talk” in reference to the guest. The great guests they’ve had can carry much of the discussion and only need thoughtful questions to carry the podcast moving. I feel duo have great input to the subject matter, though times that they interject that should be chosen wisely. Interjections should be chosen selectively. That may be at the end of the podcast or in a separate episode where specific moments, quotes, or topics from multiple podcasts are discussed. I feel this would allow for smoother flow of the discussions and opportunity to add the Huntr view while getting the most content out of their guests.

Dylan1485Authentic Deer DataThanks guys for all the helpful information and discussions. I hunt Pennsylvania and Ohio and your information has been helpful! Keep on banging the drum.
-
travlee5GoodI like that their podcasts last nearly 3 hours. They have fantastic guests and one hour doesn’t scratch the surface of what that interview can cover.
-
Mk89z?Do they ever let their guests talk, consistently interrupting or talking over their guest.
-
Rj-duckmanPatience is a virtue.STOP TALKING OVER EACH OTHER. Let the guest finish what are saying. Yes I’m talking about you Jared.
-
Trail Cam JunkieLegitimate trash.I would rather listen to 4 hours of ads then hear them talk over each other, talk about themselves, or interview convicted poachers. Sorry excuse of hunting meeting. God bless
-
Dahli Lamma55Not for meThese guys love to hear themselves talk. Why have the guest on if you’re just going to continuously talk over them? Also, they continuously badmouth certain ideas and strategies, but then turn around and do it themselves.

@Imagine50Great Content, Just wish I Could Hear ItI found the Huntr podcast recently and I really like the content. As a podcaster myself I know some things about audio. In almost every episode one host will be at a normal volume, but the other will be so quiet that I can barely hear what he is saying. So I crank up the podcast in my truck to hear what is being said and one minutes I can barely hear the next minute I am being blasted out of the truck. As I said, I truly love the content, but the audio is so bad that I usually end up turning it off because either I crank up the radio so I can hear the whole conversation and get blasted out of the truck, or keep it at a normal level and only hear one side of the conversation. I would love for this to be a 5 star review and it certainly would be except for the audio issues.

JeffismynicknameFantastic production! Was very impressed with the show and most impressed with the production side of it. Have listened to a lot of podcasts, not many have production quality as high as this one!
-
Huntr HaterNot for you ifOnly informative if you hunt the midwest on a private farm. In a world where hunters turn to Youtube and podcasts for terrible hunting advice, these two answer the call!

SB121769Good podcast but….These guys have good podcast discussions, good ideas, and discuss good topics. But when they have guests, they can’t get out of their own way when they have someone on that listeners actually want to listen to. More often than not, they talk over them and discuss their own anecdotal experiences (which is fine sometimes) but when I don’t have any takeaways from a 2 hour podcast with an interesting guest because Jeremy and Jared won’t stop talking about their own farms, it makes me question why they even had the guest on in the first place.
-
StanolszewsVery InsightfulNot a hunter, but you all provide great analysis of the issues about access, regulations, and the "hunting industry" and it's impact on the sport. I'm a fairly avid weekend bass fisherman, and some of the themes you all discuss are very relevant when applied to lake access, fishing pressure, technology, etc...and I really enjoy listening. Thanks for the insight and keep up the great work.
-
The fun farm gameLove the showLots of great information! Would love it if there was a way to ask questions but I understand it’s not your style of the show.
-
Blockhead00!🔥Great show. I listen to a LOT of podcasts and this is one of my favorites. Always a great day when a new episode comes out.

Jake_SwissPainful to listen toI came to listen to their show with Matt Rinella and it was painful to listen to. The hosts tend to ramble which is probably why their shows are so long. The Matt Rinella episode was even worse because three of them have nearly the same opinions on the main subjects so they spent 3 hours just talking in circles and agreeing with each other. There was little to no consideration for the other points of view which is frustrating when their opinions are far from mainstream. I think this conversation would have been more interesting, more productive, and easier to listen to if they had brought on another guest with a different opinion so it could sound like a real discussion rather than the literal manifestation of an echo chamber. At one point one of the hosts says something to the effect that losing hunters won’t lead to losing hunting rights and no one pushes back on that argument. He justifies his opinion by saying “what? Are they going to tell me I can’t hunt on my own property?” YES, THEY WILL! This is a moronic argument for 2 reasons. 1. Some states are already closing down certain seasons (like bear and lion) on public and private lands. 2. They spent the whole lead up to this point by complaining about people buying up land to hunt on, and yet he is implying here that he has his own private land to hunt on if states limit hunting on public land. Matt argues that the cause of the lost hunting seasons is because of hunting media and hunting social media and the hosts agree and then they move on. No push back, no alternatives offered, just “i agree” and move to the next point, and all of this while they are ON A HUNTING PODCAST.
-
DrewbearsGreat guys, great podcastHonestly it took me a while to like Jared and Jeremy with their controversial opinions and hot takes but now it’s my favorite hunting podcast. There is so much to take away from these guys conversations. I’m thankful that they challenge the hunting industry and spread awareness about key issues. Absolutely love them.
-
Nice job! 920What a joke this podcast is!Like this podcast until you get you seem to be going against promoting hunting and growing as a Community! And Matt Rinella is the worst gas you could’ve ever brought on, showed you guys true colors!
-
Jw895Great show! ButI love the show and the content but I can’t listen to it all at once. I have to take a break because they talk over each other and the guest constantly and it drives me crazy.
-
The fella1Always enjoyed the podcast….butAlways enjoyed the podcast, very interested to hear the episode with Bowmar…but my lord why did you interrupt him CONSTANTLY…the conversation was nothing but stop and go…you should re-listen
-
ihuntducksPlenty room for improvementThey use their guests name as clickbait since the two hosts never give them an opportunity to expand on a thought or question without cutting them off and interjecting. The hosts are very proud and seem to really enjoy hearing themselves talk.
-
Josh FerriesEnjoy listeningI enjoy the show, but when they start talking about farming and agriculture, it’s very frustrating. As someone who grew up and works in the ag industry, they don’t know what they are talking about. It would be like me trying to do a podcast on real estate. They would just think I’m an idiot.

Silcox88BEST HUNTING PODCAST WITH THE BEST PEOPLEBest hunting podcast there is! I’ve listened for hours and hours, I filled my tags last year and plan on doing the same this year, but they actually gave me the inspiration I needed to do something with my life and make a change where I couldn’t find that in myself, I was working a soul sucking job, ready to throw in the towel in life period, and one day I was at work hating life working 12 hour days listen to podcast and Jeremy and Jared, went on a rant about guys complaining about not having time to hunt and if your doing your best at work and it ain’t helping you pay your bills and have time for any of your hobby’s to enjoy life. You need to make a change, everything he said just hit me to the core and I just broke down crying at work had to take 5! and I don’t care to say it because I’ll never forget it! And my way paying you guys back, if I ever get the chance see someone in similar situation I’m give them the same advise, episode #99 20 min mark, it’s crazy now that I got a better job work less hours, have brand new truck, life is great with all free time I need to hunt and fish and enjoy life, it’s crazy to say that a podcast changed my life, but I was in a dark dark place, and had no one to pull me out of it! You said the perfect thing at the perfect time and it all changed after that! Thanks again! Love you guys! And let’s fill some more freezers this year boys!

kippers12354The best way to listen is to skip ahead when the host talkGuest good host bad
-
PhiltutsGood but could be much betterI am a fan of this podcast and listen to each one when it comes out, BUT….the guys have to learn to stop interrupting the guests and let them finish their thoughts. And drop the cocky Hoyt commercial. Still a fan, but could be much better.

ER BossmanReally poor exampleI really do like listening to the podcast which is why the episode with John Eberhardt was so disappointing. As hunters we need to support all of us and stay together to be able to resist the vocal non hunting community. I understand that people, including hunters, have opinions and most believe that what or how they hunt is the right way for them. The fact that John chose to bash other hunters for their way of hunting and followed successes shows a real flaw in character. I congratulate John on his success but to publicly say other hunters are inferior to him shows a real little man syndrome. Just because they don’t do it “his” way doesn’t mean it’s wrong. What’s worse yet is that as show moderators you did nothing to stop the bashing, allowing the rant to go way beyond what was acceptable. Shame on you as hosts who promote the sport of hunting. I’ll stop here rather than escalate things like you guys should’ve done. Rant over.

jmich24Let the guest speakReally want to love this podcast, but unfortunately the hosts would rather hear themselves ramble rather than let the guest speak.
-
JP13136False InformationI listed to the in depth conversation on “The game warden took my turkey” episode. I am thoroughly disappointed in the 2 hosts siding with the guest. As a person who was familiar with the case and the outcome, the guest was 100% wrong. To side with a guest who was busted by not 1 but 2 different law agencies and received a substantial fine, is inexcusable. This podcast needs to do better and be better. Not all law enforcement officers are bad. Get your facts right before bringing a guest on the air.
-
stoolie lives matterA must listen for hunters from walks of life IE public, private, and etcHonestly becoming one of my favorite hunting podcast out there. As someone whose born and raised on Long Island, New York it’s nice to have hunters on a platform representing the North East, and know the struggles and challenges of pursuing mature whitetails. This is my go to when driving to clients throughout the work week or doing chores around the house. Keep up the good work.

ColenNicholeThey are trying to do it differently. Give them time.Yes, they do take a bit too much time away from their guests with stream of consciousness discussions. However, it’s important to understand what they are trying to accomplish. It’s not that they have egos or are trying to build their brand. Sure, to an extent that would be somewhat true for all of the podcasters. But these guys are having the same guests that every other podcast has had on. So they are trying to do it differently by digging deeper into topics and by throwing ideas and questions at these guests that nobody else has yet. It’s important because many times it sets up another (future) session when one of their ideas or perspectives really strikes a cord with the guest. Unfortunately you may have to sit through (or fast forward) the in-between chatter as they chase rabbit trails while the guest sits in silence. Awkward? A bit. But this podcast has something. Give it a chance.
-
TibbhoggJust. Plain. BAD!Where do I start? How these guys get ANY guests, let alone the amazing guests they have conned into coming on this show, to bless them with their knowledge and provide us an opportunity to hear what they have to say is borderline highway robbery. I have somehow suffered through 4 and a half episodes and I cannot deal with it any more. Whomever taught these guys manners should be absolutely ashamed. The amount of interruption of the guests is unacceptable. I really hope these guys can get it figured out, because it could be a great podcast. They do ask great questions but they HAVE to get better at letting their guests answer them without talking over them. Until they know what they are doing I give them 1 star and they’re lucky I couldn’t rate them lower.
-
Matt. 0002Great interviews from different people and perspectivesGreat info
-
FuntabulosoBringing the Hunting Community TogetherI really enjoy listening to these guys and they continue to bring in the top guys in the industry for spirited conversation, debate, and sharing knowledge! I agree with other comments that mention less interruptions and more steering the conversation would make for an even better show.
-
ssesoxLet the Guest SpeakGood podcast but you don’t let the guests speak.
-
mediocre.hunter91Let the guests talk! You guys get amazing and knowledge guest but you constantly cut them off and just have a random conversation between the two of you.
-
alexj480Let guest speakeNeed to let the guest be the one to do most of talking. These guys like to interrupt. Gotta learn if they want to be successful
-
cheesebread79GrowthLanding great guests with great topics. But, they’re really bad at talking between themselves for the most part while their guest listen. Hopefully they can get these kinks worked out as they’re still new.
-
wild publicPotentialPodcast has potential but you can tell these guys are new. Really bad about cutting in when guest are talking. A lot of podcasts start out that way. I think they feel pressure to talk when listeners want the guest to do the talking. With host using well timed questions. Hope it works out.
