    More “Law” Discussion Please
These women are so accomplished, articulate and thoughtful. Unfortunately, political discussions have really dominated their podcasts this year at the expense of a focus on legal issues. I understand how it started to change direction given that so many lawsuits involved Trump, but there are other interesting cases around the country that deserve attention.

    Thank goodness for these ladies
I absolutely love listening to Sisters in Law. Since the election I have not been able to listen to or watch much news because I am so heartbroken with the results if the election and what is to come in the next 4 years. So going in an listening to these amazing, talented and well educated ladies eases my mind if some level. Thank you ladies for sharing your knowledge with those of us that take the time to be informed!!!

    No reason for optimism
I so admire these brilliant women, but speaking about what will happen after four years of Trump makes no sense. What will be left and who will be left to support whatever remnants of democracy remain? Please read Stephen Spoonamore’s ‘ Duty to Warb Letter to VP Harris Re:Election 2024’ on Threads.

    Facts and Friendship
My emotional and mental IQ benefit from Sisters-in-Law. My busy life slowed in 1974. With a new baby, I became immersed in Watergate live broadcasts. As a retired teacher and widow, my lifestyle has enabled to me to be a devoted fan of MSNBC since 2014. So the Sisters seem like trusted friends to me ! They provide legal facts intelligently as well as historical background. Due to the variety in their ages their perspective in communication is appealing. Humor and empathy add spice. Sisters-in-law gives me the truth without raising my blood pressure. I love these ladies ! Now to recover from the shock of this election I find hope and comfort with my Sisters !

    Phishy
Hi Kim, Russian bomb threats in strategic voting locations, is fishy (or phishy)! You appropriately played a hacking ad after you answered the question of a rigged election. I don’t feel confident this was a safe election. It smells like someone hacked it.

    Always a sane discussion
These four women have so much smarts about the law and politics, and are so honest in their evaluation of current events. They have a great ability to simplify very complex legal issues and put them into context. And they can do it with humor and self-deprecation!

I learn something new every time I listen to Sisters in Law. They are all very likeable.

    Five Star Ladies
These ladies are among the most well informed people you’ll ever meet regarding both politics and the legal system, and they do their best to keep the rest of us in the know. That’s because there are so many others wanting to keep us in the dark. Listen to just one full episode and you’ll know why I say this!

    Love this!
Insightful, well informed discussion of how the law and decisions affect us all. I especially like the mix of backgrounds so that each of the hosts brings something unique to the table. It's become my go-to podcast to appropriately context the news. Love these fierce women!
  • Samssan
    Love the Sisters
Look forward to every episode. I have learned a bunch about the idiosyncrasies of the law. I like how they just don’t focus on Trump (even though they could), but how the Supreme Court’s decisions affect us all. Mostly I love the respecta each of them give each other when they don’t agree. We can all learn from that.

I love #sistersinlaw! It is so informative regarding current legal issues. The host have extensive backgrounds in the U.S. legal system and discuss topics with in-depth knowledge based on experience. They are dynamic, intelligent and have a wide range of backgrounds that adds balance to the discussion. I finish each episode with a better understanding of the topics discussed. keep up the good work Sisters!

FYI Sisters tell your tech folks to take a look.. for many weeks I receive the message 'unavailable at the moment try again later' when trying to start your podcast .. it takes hours or days before it will play. All my other podcasts play normally.. not a one off

    Good to know. TRUE
Merriam-Webster Trumpery Definition & Meaning - Merriam-Webster Trumpery derives from the Middle English trompery and ultimately from the Middle French tr... "Trumpery" can be used as a noun or an adjective. As a noun, it can mean: Ornamental objects that are not very valuable and Nonsensical writing or speech. As an adjective, it can mean: showy but worthless, trash, and paltry. Some synonyms of "trumpery" include: falderol, folderal, frill, gimcrack, gimcrackery, nonsense, rubbish, and wish-wash. “

    So many good episodes
Jill really got it right. The media needs to address Kamala Harris as "Vice President Harris". President Biden doesn't get referenced as Robert or Bob. Before becoming President he was referenced as Vice President Biden. Mr. Trump doesn't get referenced as Don. Is the oversight because she's a woman or is she seen as more approachable? Since Trump's diminished capabilities are hurting him from correctly pronouncing her name, perhaps he would feel more confident referring to her as "our Vice President". That way he doesn't have to worry about forgetting her last name, too.

    Stop the annoying ads
I love this podcast, but now they have injected extremely long commercials about manicures and pedicures and other products used by women. I find these to be extremely annoying and I am a woman. I know you get a discount if you use your own voices, but really??
  • rgrwt
    VP Harris or Kamala?
Interesting photo in my in-box this morning, apropos of your conversation about VP Harris being called Kamala: a convention hall full of supporters waving blue ‘Kamala’ signs. You all are so articulate and smart. Thanks for a hugely informative podcast. My biggest objection is with the ads. If they really are essential, please consider making them as short as possible; the personalization doesn’t impel me to shop.

    Love love love love
The Sisters are clear without dumbing down legal and political complexities. When some legal matter starts to hurt my brain, I relax in the knowledge that the Sisters will explain it on Saturday.

    Sisters in law
I love this podcast. Wish I was in the room with these gals!!! However, it's hard to fathom that they use all the products they advertise. Don't feel they need to personalize the ads.
  • SurvivorLoverKB
    Too many ads
I think this podcast could be great if they didn’t have so many ads. The first 7 minutes are ads. I tend to not listing the shows unless I am caught up on the other podcasts I follow. None of the other podcasts I follow have as many ads. Maybe they have too many hosts to make money. Disappointed that I can’t listen to this all the time.
  • Sr Julian
    Great BUT
The long and frequent ads almost spoil this podcast. The Sisters in Law were 8 minutes in before talking about the first topic. And, there will be many more long ads ahead. It’s a shame that it’s set up this way. I love the topics and discussions and valuable information.

You ladies are amazing! Are you really comedians in disguise? You have out did yourselves. Loved the banter and loved the content and loved the way you connected with each other. Thank you for all your good work. I learn a lot from every one of your episodes. Keep it coming. Please.

Enough of just saying to vote!
The reason that we think it’s frustrating and annoying and lazy thinking in your part when just to say to vote is because there is much more to be done! And you know it! Call your Congress person call your senator call your mayor. Call your governor! Help organizing! working as a poll worker! that is what you should be talking about!!! stop just only saying to vote. There is much more to do, so please stop being so lazy with your comments! Action is required and you need to support that action
  • Cutie, too.
    #sistersinlaw
I love these women. I feel like I should be at the table. They are so funny and so well informed. Their views on Democracy follow my own. I think most women can relate to them. We are all in this together dealing with the Orange Sexist nerd. ( you can add a “t” in place of n in nerd.

    Love the R Rated Version
I love the Sisters Podcast. They have intelligent discussions that help us understand what’s happening in our world through a legal lens. And it’s even better when Barb isn’t there censoring the rest of the sisters. It was even more fun and hard hitting. I loved it!

Katie Phang Brings Sisters-in-Law to a New Level
Every Saturday begins with me listening to #Sisters-in-Law since it began. I usually take a long walk or bike ride while listening. But today, with a guest stand-in with Katie Phang, I was trying to listen while driving and doing chores. The analysis and conversation between Joyce, Jill and Katie was so so good and smart and heartfelt. Katie’s contributions really elevated the overall discourse. But my favorite was the block on Project 2025 and their planned dismantling of the Dept of Education. I just picked up the fish and am on the way to the wine shop when Katie speaks to the historic role of DoE and how it aligns to the purpose of fairness and equality and opportunity for all. Her own story was so powerful, I am now crying in the car. My father helped design the desegregation of Louisville schools. He taught me that there is a direct connection between educational equity, economic opportunity and an inclusive democracy. Y’all nailed it. Thank you. And, by the way, can Katie start filling in when one of you are out on a regular basis!! The conversational discourse was really engaging to listen to.
  • Yes &
    Impeachment
I have a question for the Sisters: Let’s say that the worst happens and Tump is elected, could he still be impeached for his 2020 actions to overturn the election? How might the immunity decision affect this impeachment, or not?
