The Only Aughts Era Historians I trust!
Not only are Sam and Jordan so fun to listen to, they’re one of the best podcast friendships out there.

    Emerald freaking Fennell
Reader, I squeed when I read about the PROMISING guest for Season Four's opener. The enthusiasm of our hosts combined with Emerald's knowledge and wit should have broken the Internet. Jordan and Sam are priceless treasures - sharing so many of their interests helps me feel like I have impeccable pop culture taste. Follow today for a much needed ego-boost!

    The historians of Aughts culture
Jordan and Sam are historians of aughts cinema and culture. They have changed my mind countless times on films that at the time came out were “lame” in my opinion but now I can fully appreciate the camp of Sorority Row ‘09, The Roomate, and so many more! Sam always comes in with a Aly & Aj reference which I fully appreciate and Jordan gives us a deep dive into the culture of the time and how we always needed to appreciate the women in which Hollywood bullied. We also get Sam’s amazing Xmas playlist! They two can convince me to watch anything and appreciate because their love for the aughts makes me wish to go back in time and give those movies and scarlets more love.

    Perfect Pairing
Perfect hosts with the perfect show. Horror movies within context of their culture. True deep dives are never this entertaining AND scholarly but they are here. You’ll want to revisit every movie they talk about through a different lens. Enthusiastic, positive and fun!

This show is a must listen
Jordan and Sam (and all of their guests) are so insightful and funny and smart. If you’re not listening to this, you’re tacky and wrong. Hit subscribe. You won’t regret it.

    Love this show!
As a straight white man (terrible way to start a tweet), what I love about Aughtsterion is hearing about horror movies I love from a different lens. As an ally it’s an education. I also get to laugh as well. 👍🏼👍🏼 🔪 10/10, definitely recommend

    The Hitcher
I haven’t even gotten through the first full episode yet, but I’m halfway through listening to Jordan and Sam talk about The Hitcher and their conversation is awakening so many memories of turning on the tv during October and seeing the tv edit of this movie all the dang time and I love that. This podcast hits the portion of horror that I grew up watching, and it’s exactly what I need right now

The only podcast I run to anymore
Excited hosts excitedly discussing exciting movies. The excitement is contagious, as today I found myself screaming with delight in my car during the discussion of the AFI Miss Murder needle drop at the end of My Super Psycho Sweet 16. Top shelf pod, can’t wait for another round.

    People get cut. That's life.
You know that feeling in the back of your head that either the period of horror you grew up in or just didn’t fully understand was tragically overlooked and meant more but should also be in the famed Criterion collection. Well, Aughtsterion is THE podcast. Sam and Jordan take you on weekly wild rides in a 2003 Chrysler Sebring that never ceases to be infotainment. Topics from why The Hitcher remake is unfairly overlooked, to bisexual lighting, to what is snow-globing and why is Christina Millian involved. Also, it gives the Lindsay Lohan masterpiece the love and justice it deserves. So, sit back, relax, and time travel to the Aughts with Sam and Jordan.

This podcast has caused me to revisit movies I forgot I loved and to seek out movies I’ve never seen so I can listen along. Always looking forward to the next episode.

    One of My Favorites
I came to this podcast from Jordan Crucciola’s excellent DISASTER GIRLS, and I was not disappointed! Jordan and Sam do a great job, week in and week out, of educating me on the films I missed from a decade I lived through. Excellent guests, great conversations, just a fantastic way to while away an hour or two!

Where Has This Been All My Life??
Jordan and Sam are an instantly perfect pair and their knowledge of Aughts pop culture and film culture and horror culture is unparalleled. This is an absolute blast and it’s about time that someone made such a strong effort to give Aughts horror the credit that they deserve. Absolute must listen every week.
