...jolene...Guest choicesWithin ten minutes of the interview with Adam Pawlak you’re given the perfect demonstration as to why some people should not have dogs. It got progressively worse. Had to shut it off.

Watch for deer! ⚠️🦌 The grandma episode is the best. I love your content. The grandma story’s are the best. Gave 20 bucks and she won 18,000 lol 😂 And you got back 20 😭😂

KodaBug24Great comedic minds…I learned of Charlie through The Holderness Family. This morning, watched Holderness video about saving boxes, then noticed the latest Cripescast had Penn & Kim Holderness on…and they talked about the saving boxes video! 😂 Great episode, great podcast. I thoroughly enjoy Charlie’s comedy and the guests he has on. The episode with Charlie’s parents is one of my faves too.

Soozi28Episode 173 is geniusYour family is unhinged. I cannot express how much I enjoyed your banter en route to the casino. I miss my grandmother and aunt tremendously and it made me feel like home. Shoutout to Lois as well! Glad y’all watched out for deer, and thank you for this episode!

Leah RMSThoughtful and funCripescast is a great combination of thoughtful interviews and fun banter. Charlie’s love of family and Wisconsin culture warm the hearts of us Wisconsinites and I’m sure these traits are relatable throughout the Midwest & beyond.

ErinBD“Time or Tyme” Machine?!?Laughing because the first thing that popped in my head was a Time Machine like Back to the Future, but then I realized what Charlie was referencing in Episode 157. Thanks for the laugh! Dedicated fan from MKE.

KellNicoleLynchAmazing podcast! This podcast is a highlight of my week. Such inspirational, informative and positive interviews mixed in with fun ways of getting to see Charlie’s personality. Thank you, Cripescast team, for working hard and putting out an amazing weekly podcast that showcases one of the best places to be… the Midwest!
-
KendraacVery informative! Great podcast!Charlie does a great job interviewing people from all over the Midwest. I feel like I learn something new each podcast! I really liked the interviews with David Koechner and Skylar Grey as I’m a huge fan of The Office and Skylar is such a talented writer and singer. If I could make a suggestion it would be to interview Jerry Wanek, one of the producers of Supernatural as he’s from my hometown Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

I ❤️ hot stepsistersYouTubeI love the podcast and your YouTube

brucefan529I’m new hereI’m not sure what I clicked or watched on Facebook to make them suggest that I might be interested in Charlie, but for once they were right! I had never heard of him but I kept seeing ads for Charlie’s YouTube stand up special so I decided to check it out. I really enjoyed it. From there I went to his videos/shorts and then finally found this podcast. I went back to the first episode and have listened to them in order, I’m up to #63 now. Funny, interesting, informative and just throughly enjoyable. I’m not from and actually have never been to the Midwest but this is a podcast for everyone not just midwesterners (as he sometimes says). From listening you can tell that Charlie is a very decent human being and I’m happy to be a member of his fan club. Charlie, any chance you’ll ever have Bob Ueker on?
-
MKEFan2Great contentGreat content. I especially like the episodes with Charlie’s family. Users need to work pretty hard to get the latest podcast (since order is “oldest first,” l) but, for new fans this might be the proper order. Don’t forget to check out the Manitowoc Minute on YouTube. Especially the Bloody Mary and Brandy Old Fashioned episodes.

nkthmpsnGreat Listen!Just recently started listening to this pod. I’ve been skipping around and listened to the episode with Grandma Sue. I had such a smile on my face listening; it was so sweet and wholesome and reminded me of having those conversations with my grandmas who have passed. You have such a special treasure in that episode for years to come, Charlie! Thanks for sharing your gift of humor and humility with us!
-
Scott from West BendWhere has this been???How did I follow you this long on the YouTube and not know about your podcast???? Better late than never. Great podcast and great show at the Wisconsin State Fair!!

gritz.luvBill DoucetteYour funniest bits are with Bill. After listening to the podcast with him as a guest, he’s naturally funny. And the fact that he brought up Kyle Dunnigan…this guy knows comedy. So what we’re Bill’s jokes that would’ve gotten edited out?😂 Patreon it maybe? You’re always great too Charlie, keep up the content👏🏼
-
MkrumenAmazing podcast! When I heard that you have a podcast, I assumed it would be some skits or some type of comedy podcast using your accent. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is an interview podcast. Not only are you very well researched on your guests but you have guests from all walks of life, which gives a very wide range of content for all types of listeners. I also love that you throw in your accent for your ads. This is quickly turning into one of my favorite podcasts!

EditjdFor a good time, listen to Charlie. Seriously. I'm not joking.
-
jltrygRefreshingly funny and thoughtfulCharlie is a comedic pro and skillful journalist. (Kudos for not pigeonholing yourself. I love that you and your topics are multidimensional.) As a Catholic Minnesotan and journalist by trade, I relate to so much of this. (God bless Grandma Sue!) I laugh, I cry, and I think. Keep up the excellent work. And, of course, keep ‘er movin’.

omsjames124AJ DillonCharlie. I loved this interview. You made this interview feel like we were all sitting at my house playing euchre having a great time. It’s nice to know AJ is a down to earth kid doing his best. I love that he is all in living in Wisconsin. He seems like a guy you want to just be around just because he’s a nice guy. Not because he’s a Green Bay Packer. Thanks for doing these pod casts. Tell your folks I say hi. And watch out for deer.

LinePBJNot even from the MidwestLove this podcast! Not even from the midwest and thoroughly enjoy this show. Really appreciate the diverse guests, perspectives and opportunities to learn and laugh.

Payton419Yeah NoEducation vs. Entertainment? Enjoyed this one about Milwaukee recycling but I was stumped when Charlie was asking guest Samantha about specific items that can be recycled. She answered “yeah no” for many items . Then I remembered she’s from Wisconsin and Charlie taught me that answer actually means “no”!! Episode idea: explore The Lake Effect, or Midwest fruit growers. Lastly for Charlie, you can drop the Manitowoc Minute character in your intros. You’re funny just as you are. Keep up the good work! Tell Grandma Sue I say hi, and watch out for December tornadoes.
-
Cats4AngBrdsCharlie is smarter than you thinkCharlie is a wonderful interviewer and really puts his journalist skills into his Podcasts. I realized how knowledgeable and thoughtful he truly is. He is able to capture and interview and sync with his guests. I’m just a person in the central US who found him on FB & You Tube. He keeps me smiling & reinvigorated me to follow the Packers and take a trip to Wisconsin to freeze my toes off. Thanks Charlie.

BaumWel24Can’t stop listening!Great podcast! I started listening only about a month ago and already listened to them all! I love the variety of guests and learn quite a bit from your interviews. I’m looking forward to seeing you tonight at the Resch Center! (Say hi to your brother John for me! I worked with him in DePere!)
-
Piperbean512Finally!!I absolutely love the Cripescast! Being born and raised in MN, it so great to finally have some true representation on how great the Midwest is! All of the guests are so interesting and entertaining. Thank you Charlie for making my commute and drives to the lake cabin fun. I also now am aware that I say “ope” a thousand time per day. Uffda! Keep ‘er moving!

Scooter TimmKeeper moovinI never knew I would get so much self help from a Midwest documentary podcast. No but seriously he's a true Wisconsinite, good guy, hard worker with the right mind, and kinda funny, ya know what I mean? Go pack

IL KarenHelloCharlie: I’m from Illinois, was raised Lutheran, my name is KAREN, and I’m a Bears fan! In spite of all that, I love your humor and really enjoy your podcasts. You seem very genuine, thoughtful, and surprisingly intelligent! Just kidding on the surprisingly part but you know I have to give you some grief, after all I am a FIB, but also a happy listener. Take care, Karen
-
allentonproudEntertaining and informativeLove the podcast, it helps me get through my 12 hours work days! Saw you walking in to the West Bend Theater tonight (I couldn’t go since I had to take my daughter to piano lessons). I must say you are taller than I expected. Keep up the good work

SzyLynnChris VosThank you so much for your interview with Chris Vos. It was very interesting. I had never heard of The Record Company so I listened to some of their songs and I love them so much I bought both of their CD’s. Love the podcast. You have so many interesting guests. Tell your folks hi and watch out for deer.

aschool94Grandma Sue—be still my heartThis talk with your Grams melted my heart. I had to send to my mom & dad to listen to—the part about her giving you only your $20 back after an 1800 win from Bowler cracked me up. I’ve lived in Wisconsin my whole life but moved to MN for work after college & it just really makes me appreciate everything Wisconsin. Thank you for putting out hilarious content & creating this wonderful merch! Just bought the WI crest hoodie. Even my coworker in OH is a fan & she sent me the Go Packers & F*** the Bears pint glass for my birthday. Perfect for my bloodies. Thanks again & God bless you & your family💚💛

MacnchzzaLove it!Always super interesting guests that inspire me to learn more about, and visit more places in my home state of Wisconsin! Thank you for keeping this going Charlie, I’m a more proud Wisconsinite after every episode!
-
CMcCann39Awesome pod!I’ve listened to every episode, and really enjoy it! It showcases all the good that can come from the Midwest, and I’m so glad we have this kind of representation!

WI-MCMLove Grandma SHave liked the variety of guests but I think one of my favorites (or maybe THE favorite) has been Grandma Sue! Such a sweetheart. You are lucky to have her Charlie; it’s clear you know that because your love for each other was evident on the episode.

Nice place to be fromNice place to be fromHello from Denver, Colorado! I found your podcast when I was looking for something light hearted to listen to during the pandemic. My family hails from South Eastern Minnesota and has sent me lots of Manitowoc Minute shorts. I thought I would be hearing that voice (and character) when I started listening but was pleasantly surprised to hear your real voice and great podcasting skills. A fun story that I thought I would share: I was at the deli counter in the local grocery store in Denver and saw a young woman with a shirt that said “Keep er’ movin.” I had to discretely go around her to make sure I saw the whole shirt. It was a Manitowoc Minute shirt! I started babbling at her about your podcast (she knows it too!) and we both agreed it was great to listen to. She walked away and then, SAS - the guy behind the deli counter hands me my turkey and goes “and tell your folks I says hi.” And I found another new friend to share our midwest background and love of your podcast. I appreciate the variety in guests - but have you thought about bringing on a health care provider? And can you bring back the Craigslist gifts?!? Thanks so much, “A nice place to be from.”
-
WiheathenSurprising depth here!Wow, Charlie, I’ve been a listener for a while, and the podcast just seems to be getting better and better. The interview with Roy Woods is excellent and eye-opening. This stuff goes so far afield from the Manitowoc Minute, but in a really good way… like having lots of tasty choices on a Beren’s Buffet. Keep up the good work!
-
gje if chhfhejjcjdGreat podcastI love this podcast it’s great! I love your video’s and when I heard you had a podcast I just had to listen to it! So thanks Charlie for making the podcast!

Good Site for Random StuffEasy ListenOne thing that makes a great interview show is when you get to listen to people talk and share stories without making it seem like a job interview. This is a wonderful listen! Thanks for the content Charlie!

annafcampbellMy Grandma’s From SheboyganI grew up in the South, but learned what real hospitality is by visiting my grandmother in Sheboygan, swimming in Lake Michigan, grilling brats in her backyard, and listening to Brewers’ games with her & her friends on her kitchen radio. The Midwestern sweetness of you and your guests reminds me of those times and how much I love & miss my Wisconsin relatives. Thank you!
-
maggieleahOutsiderSo enjoying the podcast, from Texas! I come by “golly” and “geez Louise” naturally, but am less sure about cheese curds. So you’re broadening my horizons! Always looking out for deer. Thanks!!! Maggie

Polish Girl in AZSound journalismCharlie…I’m a northern WI girl living in AZ desert for last 15 years. Thank you for reminder why I love my beloved home state, flowing of warm cheese and cold beer. I love your comedy sketches… backing boat brought back childhood memories. Mostly importantly, your podcast is an unbelievable space of learning. You do your research on your guests!!! Your conversations on indigenous and Hmong cultures were amazing. Please keep presenting these conversations on your show. …

65joeyY’all Keep Movin’Charlie, love you, love your Podcast and love Wisconsin. Fell in love with your beautiful state while my son was in Madison and though my butt still resides in the South, I feel like I was meant to be a ‘Sconni. Loved your comedy the moment I first saw your tailgate UW Madison-style video and now am able to stay connected with the Midwest spirit thru the CripesCast. So many great guests and you have a nice interview style. Our “Keep ‘er Movin’” T-shirts just arrived in the mail. Tell your folks I said hi. Keep ‘er Movin’ ( or as we might say in Virginia, Y’all keep Movin’!!!) John from Va
