    Going downhill
I’ve been disappointed by content from the new host. The topics revolve around the host, his life, his injuries (so sick of hearing about hip replacements), his races, his business. He selectively asks questions of his guests that are often applicable to him rather than the broader audience. I miss the deeper personal stories and varied content from the original host, Ryan! These new episodes are so superficial and simply do not stand out among the multitude of running podcasts.

    The hip replacement podcast…
I used to love the podcast and hoped it would stay the same after Ryan left, but lately the new host seems to be obsess with runners that went through hip replacement. While it can be an interesting subject, it’s been many episodes in a row and there’s only so much you can say about running and hip replacement…

    Changed for the worse
Used to love this show. When the original host Ryan left, new host Steven just can’t achieve the same connection with guests. It’s snoozy and superficial. Steven doesn’t seem to do the same background research on his guests either so a lot of “duh” questions get asked.

    Not the same anymore
When Ryan was the podcast host, the show was entertaining, informative and a must-listen every week. The new host brings on some interesting guests but is not able to go deep in the interviews, so the guests’ stories are not as riveting as can be. I’d given the new host some time to grow into the role. But this week’s guest selection was the last straw. The guest was a Run Bum ambassador. Anyone who knows the history of this podcast knows how tone deaf this choice is. I’m not wasting any more of my time with what was once a great must-listen podcast. #IStandWithRyan

    Adventure Jogging at it’s Best
Come for the content, stay for Ploeckelman’s laugh. Such a great show, I go back and listen to the oldies and relisten over and over.

    My favorite podcast
My favorite running podcast. Certainly not a tertiary podcast. A great balance of fun with great stories. Very refreshing to have such a variety of guests

    Always entertaining and informative
Ryan interviews runners who have been on plenty of other podcasts and asks questions that give me new information about the runners and events in which they participate. The recent interview with Andrew Drummond might be my favorite. It was so interesting to hear about his many activities and how they relate to ultra running!

    Andrew Glaze⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great interview with Andrea Glaze after his CocoCanyons races!!! Amazing & fun to listen to. Crushing the run streak with 100 mile weeks! Over 3 years!!! Wow🎉

    Sellout
Will delete from my list. Sold out for ads. Said he would never do that.

    Best Tertiary Podcast
Ryan has a contagious laugh and is well versed in conducting interviews. He knows the right questions to ask and always keeps the conversation fun and interesting. You will find the topics to be sometimes lighthearted, discussing the best flavors of White Claw, or they may delve into deeper issues such as addiction and the lost of loved ones, all of which Ryan handles tactfully. Whenever I lace up for a long run I turn this podcast on. The stories and lessons from now over 100 episodes have accompanied me on 100s of miles and been shared with a dozen friends. If you’re considering it at all, give this one a try.

    Love the podcast!
I find Ryan to be very relatable and entertaining. He's an excellent interviewer, asking great questions drawing out the guest. As a sidelined runner, walking on a treadmill these days, Ryan's show always perks me up. Thank you!

    Magnificent
Ryan keeps things light hearted and jovial, however due to his background in broadcast journalism he knows how to interview his guest in a dynamic way. I look forward to each now release. Having Jeff Stafford on is a great boost. I have used many of the practical tips he has given through the years. I’ve learned more on ultra running through this show, than any other podcast or book. Only the experience on the trail teaches more. This is much more than a “tertiary running podcast.”

This podcast will inspire you to do crazy ****
I always look forward to this podcast in my feed. It never fails to provide laughs, information, inspiration and even new products for me to try (I am obsessed with Salty Britches). My favorite episode last year, on the Pinhoti Slam, was so inspiring that my beginner self got carried away and now I am now well on my way to my own “Pinhoti Slam of DNFs”. This will always be the podcast I refer my runner friends to.

The Adventure Jogger is the only Ultra Running Podcast you need
Thanks to Ryan and Stafford I’m able to easily get through the long runs while listening to their podcast. Whether I’m running, having a white claw ( haven’t got to try a salty Jogger yet 🤪) I’m always laughing, entertained and most of all learning tips and tricks to make my ultra running experience even better!

One of my favorite weekly podcasts.
I enjoy my weekly dose of The Adventure Jogger. The topics typically interest me as a middle to back of the pack runner. I love the laid back topics and quirky jokes. I recommend this podcast to all runners.

If you like mainstream talk radio style...
If you like ultrarunning AND you like Ploeckelman's radio talk show style (trained "yelling" voice, jacked-up, "nyuk-nyuk at my own joke"), then this may be the podcast for you. Since mainstream talk radio isn't my jam, I just cherry-pick episodes of interest to me and scrub through most of the host. When Ploeckelman very occasionally drops his radio persona for his regular voice and more sincere conversation, it's a huge relief, as his guests then have a chance to expand on their thoughts.

    Ultra-entertaining
The wide range of guests is what makes it awesome. Tertiary or not this podcast is my go to!

How did I not find this earlier!
Missed Eastcoast Ultra runner podcast and had no idea we were blessed with this new podcast. Love it. I got 120 episodes to catch up on!

Let’s not take everything so seriously
I love the variety and quality of guests!

    Fantastic
A great mix of information and entertainment. The host is a radio guy so the production value is generally good
  • A-DUBS151
    Two thumbs up!
Longtime fan! Ploeckelman brings his unique approach to ultra/running podcasts and never disappoints. Thanks for what you do!
  • Pooks64
    Great podcast
Only complaint is that the 1 hr episodes aren’t long enough for the weekend long run! Keep up the great work.

    ❤️ Adventure Jogger
Love that this podcast highlights everyone… not just the super fast folks, but all questionably insane people that run stupid long miles for fun! Absolutely my go-to podcast!
  • John Marangiello
Great Host, Great Guests, Great Podcast
The host is great at making conversation and the guests really add to the whole adventure! On top of that, the audio of the podcast is very good. What more can you ask for!
  • tgher
    5 Stars but…
It just not for me. I give it 5 because my opinion does not mean its a bad show, it just isn't my cup of tea. Great guests. Great content. But cant stand the hosts chuckle every other minute. Cant stand the constant references and throwbacks like its an episode of Family Guy. However, the recent episode with AJW and the GOAT was a gem.

    Fantastic information, stories and heart
Ryan has a knack for showing the listener the humanity at the heart of adventure jogging. Recently introduced, I now make time to listen to this awesome podcast!
  • Littletreemedia
Makes the long miles more entertaining
Ryan brings humor and entertainment to every interview that helps make the long runs fly by.

    Simply the best
Funny, great interviews, great advice. This is definitely the white claw of running podcasts
  • Fattie Mattie 2x4
Great if you want a laugh and some pith
A little bit of serious wisdom, a lot of laughter, and stories that I even share with non runners for a smile. (The claw mile? Why would any sane person come up with that idea!)
  • JAndreas06
    Amazing Podcast
As an Adventure Jogger myself, I appreciate all the little things on this podcast. It’s not too serious, just fun! Ryan’s laugh is very contagious, download and give it a listen.
  • Chad the Champion
    Love the Podcast
I have listened to several episodes of The Adventure Jogger as I prepare to do my first 100 miler this year. I have really enjoyed the guests, the topics, and most of the overall energy level Ryan brings to the show. It’s my now go-to ultra podcast
  • Jenn from PA
    PA trail runner
Loved the PA bromance episode. One of my favorites. I’ve always loved listening to Ryan and now that Jeff is on, well, it’s a win win. Hopefully, his Silver singles account will fill up. But seriously great job guys!

Great Podcast on running and things runners think about!
Full disclosure: I listened to every episode of the “other” (East Coast) podcast and usually enjoyed them, but this series Ryan has come up with now is more exciting than finding a clean port-a-potty deep in the middle of the woods! The theme music is catchy— not Corona virus catchy— but does stay with you long after exposure. Bottom line, the Adventure Jogger podcast is infectiously fun and I gladly prescribe it to all runners to help achieve herd immunity against long-run boredom. 👍🏼👍🏼
  • kindabigdealkaiser
    Fun and interesting
As an ultra runner who mostly runs roads, I still find all the interviews with trail runners interesting. The guests have great stories and range from slow to fast runners. The sound quality is excellent and Ryan is a great interviewer. At first I thought the theme music was weird but after a few shows I love it!!!! Thanks for a fun podcast without the trash.
  • UltraGrandDad
Love it all except the Claw
This Pennsylvania back-of-the-packer loved the episode with Miller and Lipsey. One star subtracted for the White Claw references.
  • southernhick
I like it but the southern hick jokes are getting old fast.
I’ve been a listener for a long time including the ECTAUR podcasts and overall I really like the show and host. However, his constant cracks of people in the south especially if he’s talking to someone who isn’t from the area really gets tiring and overplayed.
  • ultraatlanta
    Best ultra podcast by far
Thank you for such a great podcast and enjoyable guests. It’s the best because you talk about...wait for it...running! So tired of podcasts that talk about what they ate for dinner last night or what they did over the weekend (unrelated to running)), or with an agenda. I listen because I love ultrarunning and people who do it and. You’ve knocked it out of the park on both! Thank you!
  • Damoser62
    My Favorite Podcast
Being a trail runner and ultra runner from the southeast I find a lot of useful information on the Adventure Jogger podcast. And the humor is pretty good as well.
  • RunMickey1
    Great Guests
The variety of guests is top notch. I understand the host is famous in the trail running community so I’m sure that helps him get the big names and explains some of the jokes that aren’t nearly as funny as he thinks they are. Overall I’m learning about trail running and enjoy hearing about other experiences so I’ll keep listening.
  • Derek Wright TCH
    The best
Truly one of the best podcast. Ryan is a professional, and Jeff is a great addition. I love how much fun this podcast is! There has not been a bad episode, and I love the variety of guest.
  • gPirtle
    My new favorite podcast
The Adventure Jogger quickly became my new favorite podcast. I love running especially the ultra running community. The one on one interviews with ultramarathon athletes are great but the crew episodes are my favorite. Ryan Ploeckelman and his dad Jeff Stafford really excel on the group chat episodes. I became a Patreon member after the first episode because I wanted to support the show and keep the episodes coming. It was that great! I went back into the archive and listened to all the past episodes. I’m pretty bummed that I don’t have anymore queued up. Definitely check it out.

    The Adventure Jogger
Fun light and very relatable! Love the show. Time and miles pass so fast listening to a great host (and co-host) talk to amazing guests.

    Podcast Kudos 👍🏼
The only podcast I listen to while I run!
  • Eroq Rose
    Running should be fun
The hosts never fail to get a couple of chuckles out of me per episode on my morning runs. This podcast is as addictive as Sunday mornings on the trails.
  • RomeoCharlieAlpha
    One of the best!
Nothing better than hitting the trail with some Hunts Brothers pizza, Pink grapefruit Claw and the Adventure Jogger podcast! Really helps eat them miles up. Get ya some.

    Adventure Jogger
Adventure Jogger will take you on a fun journey with other runners! A must listen!

Feels like hanging out with friends!
Lots of running podcasts out there but The Adventure Jogger is the most relatable to us “regular”mid pack runners. Even when they interview the elite well known guests the conversation is so casual and fun. I feel like I’m hanging out with friends drinking( I wouldn’t pick the Claw) after a long race. It’s a great weekly listen!

    Remarkable
These shoes have provided me with such great entertainment and company on runs and long drives. Please keep them coming.

    New and Improved ECTU
Love the new show so much, great guests, a ton of fun and Jeff Stafford- there hasn’t been a better straight man since Ed McMann.
