A podcast with great information and a friendly upbeat tone about one of my favorite pastimes: feeding and observing birds. Being from Indiana and a fan of WBW, it is great to hear from two people with the same passion and superior knowledge. As a final episode, it was a great topic to cover favorite apps and books. I was able to obtain a copy of The Joy of Bird Feeding and it is truly unique. I will be added it to my library. All the best to John in retirement.

Love the episode on Mindful Birding. And I love my local Wild Birds Unlimited store. The owners always give great bird advice. Their store is a healing sanctuary in a bland strip mall. We need more birds and we need more people talking about birds. This is the place to relax and learn everything birds.

This podcast can be enjoyable and informative but their frequent chuckling at darn-near EVERYthing they say prevents that. Also, as someone else noted, “species” is both singular and plural when referring to biology. “Specie” refers to coined money.

Fun to listen to and informative. Working on my landscaping to put in bird natural plants like winterberry and various other native plants. Already more activity in our yard. Superb job I love all the information in this podcast. I have maybe 10 different books and multiple apps on birds and birding but this adds another important people to people interface making a complete library of information and ideas! Great job to the presenters, John and his buddy Keep laughing and sharing

I love this show and catch up on episodes when I miss them. But, I have a pet peeve as a biology instructor, the word “species” is both plural and singular. Stop using the word “specie” it’s like nails on a chalk board. Otherwise, fabulous show!

The hosts and this podcast are absolutely delightful and informative. It’s a wonderful break from my usual diet of true-crime and running podcasts. Just discovered the podcast recently, and have learned some great tips that will be put into practice over the next few months. Thank you so much!!! BTW, I’m a huge fan of the WBU Advanced Pole Systems- they have probably paid for themselves in the amount of bird seed they have stopped the squirrels from gobbling like they did when feeders poles were attached to the fence. (Squirrels are welcome to anything on the ground and acorns etc in the surrounding woods, so do not pity them or think me an ogre.)

I so enjoy your podcast. I’m usually cooking when I’m listening to you both. I love your sense of humor and your knowledge of God’s amazing birds.

I so miss the bi-weekly episodes, but I’ll take what I can get. Have been listening from the get-go and have learned so much from Brian and John. It’s corny and geeky, but pure bird nerd delight. And I got my backyard habitat certified by the NWF because of their encouragement. Woo hoo!

I just found your podcast and binged listened over the past few days. I’m not sure what I enjoy more- learning about bringing bird life to my backyard or the infectious laughter of the hosts. I can’t listen without smiling.

These guys are great! Never any politics, truly just about the many backyard birds and how to attract them. They know so much and share it with dad humor without being annoying. They’re good people to teach you about birds. Turn off your political podcasts, war and news podcasts, your serial killer podcasts, and your celebrity podcasts. Learn how to notice what’s going on in nature and see some beauty in the world again.

I love this podcast. The hosts are knowledgeable, friendly and funny! I have learned so much, and the new learning has increased my enjoyment of spotting and feeding all the birds that visit my yard. I love this podcast. I have listened to every episode multiple times. They bring me so much joy. I’m one who got into birding as a result of the pandemic. My daughters and I started feeding birds as something to do to fill the lonely days. It brought us so much excitement. We started off only knowing the common bird names. Now we know lots of bird’s names, all about beaks, feet, and what they love to eat! I love that this podcast is family friendly and they can listen to it with me. Thank you all so much!

I really have appreciated your tips and advice this past year. I am caretaker for my Mom, my Dad died in February and he loved bird watching. I sit at the patio doors and watch the birds, squirrels, bunnies and occasional dear. Wood ducks hatch and two different sitings of cardinals in Northern South Dakota. I have always been a nature lover and when it comes to birds, they have always been one of my favorite interests! I found this podcast when I visited the Wild Birds Unlimited store in my area. I went to the store to buy a simple bird feeder and found the most knowledgeable and patient staff who walked me through all the options. I was hooked! I started listening to this podcast and have enjoyed the conversation between the hosts who are talking to each other and to the listener as a friend. They are a breath of fresh air, eager to share their knowledge about all things birds, and have taught me something in every episode. I eagerly anticipate each new episode. Currently I am working my way through all previous episodes. This podcast will grow your interest and enjoyment for birds and feeding birds!

I just stumbled onto this podcast and listened to the “dads” episode. The episode was very informative and fun! The new information that I learned will increase my enjoyment of watching these birds even more! I love my downy woodpeckers and was cheering when the male got the top award, lol! I’ve found this podcast to be such a grounding and relaxing time of my day. It’s nice to get a break from the news of the world and just listen and learn about nature in your backyard. I learned about it as a Wild Birds Unlimited customer but I really think anyone could enjoy this podcast. The host do a fantastic job and have a good sense of humor as well! I hope this podcast keeps going for a long time to come!

I discovered this podcast by accident, but I am a regular listener now. The friendly enthusiastic conversation between the two hosts is comforting and inspiring, and I have learned something of value from each episode. Please keep it up.

I wish I knew about this podcast months ago!! It is so goooood! I get nuggets of information with every episode delivered in the most lovely way by the two hosts, Brian and John. They are so enthusiastic and endearing and probably helps they are from the Midwest (I grew up in Southwest Michigan and now live on Long Island New York) so it feels like home. In one episode I learned about birds coming to winter feeders and went home and saw 3 of them the next day (with help of my field guide). That is awesome. I have a new passion and who wouldn’t love that in 2020!

The background of birdsongs is a delight. Like visiting the woods. Also appreciate you playing specific calls so I know what to listen for. Thank you for a great podcast!
