Gar5569Engaging and Relatable ContentJames runs a great show and does such a good job with his casual conversational style approach to the pod. The questions he asks are always well thought out and meaningful. Love listening to the show and always walk away with something new that I learned.

TBT_Great Conversations and ContentConversation sounds more like folks just sitting down and talking. Not the scripted taking points about the hot topics of the day. I have really enjoyed the folks he has had on the podcast. James grandmother has to be one of my favorite podcasts Ihave spent a good bit of time around real working men and women who have spend more time outside than inside. People who have respect for animals and the land they care for. It’s kind of funny no matter which part of the country you happen to live in real working folks just have a quality about them. We need more people in the world like James and the folks he has on his podcasts just plain real folks

thebig3I’ve I just finished the latest episode and don’t know what to doI originally got into podcasts strictly focused on learning about archery elk calling/hunting. I moved to Oregon 8 years ago and have learned how it is such a special place. James’ podcast has helped me grow as a hunter and a person. I’ve learned so many new things throughout my listening journey. Some of my favorites and learning about Wallawa County and his time in the Marine Corps. In his opening he talks about how incredible humans are and that we can do anything. Ive heard a lot of people say that and never really understood or believed it. If you feel the same way I challenge you to go on his journey because his stories and guests will change your mind. Now he needs to give me other podcast recommendations for my 2hr commute to work. Thank you James wish me luck on my first bull elk this year.

KarliLewisORTop shelf tales!Wide range of topics, guests and perspectives. Our family loves this show, it’s been so fun to see it grow. James does a fabulous job at asking the questions we all want to know while broaching tough topics with an open minded and thoughtful perspective. Really, there is something for everyone here. So happy to see Grandma Janie back, the wisdom we all want and need in a grandma! Not to mention the validation I needed to increase garden size beyond my better judgments. Keep ‘em coming!

Slayer1RickInformation overloadI was looking for a new podcast a few months back. Something really informative. My brother turned me on to Mr Jim Nash with 6ranchoutfitters. I am a big bear hunter, I went straight to the bear hunting and biology podcast. Loved every second of them. Learned lots. Thanks for your service Nash. Keep educating us all. Cheers Rick

dillonlamping6 ranch podcast is the real dealJames takes a sensible approach often with science and sociology to back it up. He seems versed in world history and military. His guests often appear to be the real thing and not just some social media talking head. Give it a listen.

Queenanne11UniqueGreat conversations from a wide range of different individuals on topics you don’t get a perspective into very often. A great glimpse into what life is like lived in a different way. Stories from folks you wouldn’t normally get a perspective into. Very unique, and I feel grateful I get to hear these stories.

Sodbuster107Excellent show.I learned about 6ranch from following trapper mike the python cowboy. In This show I have learned so much from crabbing, trapping, guiding, jet boating, all the way to tanks and how fast the military can travel! I love this show and the calloused hands that come and tell their adventures. High energy, high adventure, highly recommend. You’ll be hard pressed to learn about wildlife anywhere else. Can’t wait for the next Monday!

laurenmcb6 ranch is for everyone, not just hunters and fishers.Update Review: Couple of years after finding and sharing James podcast, the normal trajectory of my relationship with a podcast did not happen. Normally a podcast catches my attention make a splash inspires some thought and fades. Well 2+ years in I am surprised , this is not the case. I say this after listening to a episode with Hannah Mabbot. Slim chance I was clicking on that one, luckily I had it on continuous play and I listened. The reason this podcast has legs is because a big name, and a small name carry the same weight with James. The conversation is sincere and the questions I would ask, seem to be mined out by James. It's hard to explain the value I find in these conversations. In a world where everyone is selling us products and ideas and opinions, that are often marketing strategies by businesses or managers. These interviews/conversationst seem like conversations I have with a good friend, parent, grandparent,a new friend I met that likes the same stuff I do. It feels like I am sitting in the back seat of the truck on the way to a secret spot that is being shared with me, and listing to knowledge , stories ,information and recollections of a life lived, and experiences, from people that know! The same way we all started in the love of the outdoors, learning from those around us not the "experts". So I guess what I am saying with out using punctuation, and using endless run-on sentences. The value of the experts is critical, we get that here, but we also get the wisdom of our elders, the working men and women. We get history and science and a sincere curiosity that the old timers at the cafe ,or gas station have a story to tell and some wisdom (that they earned) to impart. Well James has a way of getting that out and sharing it with us. I can't think of another podcast that does this. Listen to the episode that don't make a splash in the title, you will be better for it. America!

Blues hunterGreat entertainment and informationAlways great insight and little nuggets of information I can use in the field and in life. I often find myself laughing out loud while driving down the road listening to the podcast. “What’s a team roper going to do to me?” one of my favorite lines. Keep up the good work and thank you for what you do.
-

^whatnext^A Modern ClassicJames’ knowledge and ability to illicit information from his guests belies his years on earth. He’s an educated old soul and he displays a rare, true appreciation for the earth and the animals that roam it. I first became aware of 6 Ranch and their beef while dining in Enterprise or Joseph, Oregon. Later I was pleasantly surprised when I found James was doing a podcast that ranged in topics from hunting to fishing to geology and anthropology. I always look forward to the latest episode and have not been disappointed yet. Keep doing what you do James. The world needs more of this.

Katherine StickrothConfluenceAt the Confluence of James Nash’s compassion of heart and bright intelligence dwells an interviewer who elicits great stories from uncommon people. Just listened to the July 31 podcast, with my friend Gary Shepherd. Wisdom flowing from both men, from different genre. Powerful! Well done!
-
Johnny8563Awesome! OriginalQuickly has become my favorite podcast thanks to original guests and interesting topics I had no previous interest in but found them fascinating once I started listening!
-
fckinsenditAlways a good listenI found this podcast after James did a joint podcast with another one I listen to. After I found the 6 ranch podcast I’ve listened to every episode put out so far. It’s always been interesting and informative, as well as entertaining. I enjoy the stories and the lessons taught equally. Highly recommend you won’t regret it

CryptKeyInspiringI am no hunter (yet) but I do love the outdoors, and I love the beef that James and his family raise. I have learned so much from listening to the conversations between James and his guests on this podcast, not just about guns, hunting, the outdoors, etc. but also just life in general. I have actively been trying to learn more about hunting so I can get into it myself, and I’m so grateful to have found this podcast. Thank you for everything you do James.
-
TwedtheartsTopicsThe diverse topics keep you coming back for more every week. I don’t see this podcast running its course like the other niche podcasts. This one reminds me of seeing your neighbor coming down a gravel road, stopping in the middle of the road, turning off your trucks and visiting for an hour about anything that comes up. Thanks James!
-
call sign scrappyGreat podcast. As an Idaho native, veteran, and obsessed outdoorsman, this podcast has absolutely drawn me in. Glad my friend Brian Brooks recommended it.
-
Widgeon6Amazingly Good!James is a great interviewer and incredibly easy to listen to. Love the variety of guests. I don’t do a lot of the stuff that is talked about with the guests, but I do live life, and there are plenty of life lessons. And I do plan to dress comfortably cool next time I go duck hunting.
-
Marduk85Great Podcast and Informative InterviewsUpdate: Still a fantastic podcast and one I look forward to every Monday. The info go well beyond the hunting and the outdoors. Being in Illinois I don’t get the chance to hunt with a rifle or do any backcountry anything but the info is always well worth the time. Take a listen and you will not be disappointed. New to the podcast. Found it through inthesemountains on IG. But I enjoyed several other episodes. Well worth the time and the listen.
-

plentycoupeWhat a powerful conversationJust listened to 131 with Lyle Witherrite. This was such a moving podcast. I have never been into art or metal work or anything like that yet the way you two talk about his movement through life and into the various crafts of pretty inspiring! Keep up the great conversations please!!
-
bigskyidahocowboyLlamaBest podcast out there. This man can meticulously breakdown the value of the llama with incredible accuracy. We watched a guy leading one last year turnaround and hit him with his purse. Keep up the great reporting!
-
emarlow23AwesomeLove the variety of outdoor topics. Lyle was a great show
-
Rhyno_82Great Podcast!James has a great podcast with authentic topics and real world opinions from a man that has experienced some very raw and gritty situations.
-
Wildatheart23Variety of TopicsJames has created a unique podcast where he interviews interesting people from all sorts of backgrounds which relate to hunting and the outdoors. He is an expert in many fields, however he is humble when speaking to his guests to learn their knowledge and experiences. He’s enthusiastic and there’s never a disappointing episode. One of my favorite parts about the guests he chooses are how unique they are. An example was Aubrey Barton, who tended to a ranch in the Frank Church by herself. It amazes me how he finds these people! The episode with Lyle recently was very intriguing and I found myself thinking of Johnny Cash when he sang/played one of his songs.
-
Alecks_ZanderInteresting stories from more interesting peopleFollowing the interview with Lyle Witherrite, Art and Violence. This is an awesome podcast for any interesting dude. Not specific for hunting or fishing but for the jack of all hobbies. I come here to listen when I want to know about something I don’t about.

I LIKE THIS!Stay HungryWorking and living in a big city can be draining. I find myself staying inside for long periods of time because getting out into the vast concrete monolith just isn’t appealing. This podcast keeps me hungry for the outdoors, and has inspired me to make the trip into the wilderness on more than one occasion. It lets you listen in on conversations that you wouldn’t normally hear unless you were sitting around a fire after a long day doing something epic.
-
Easmith331By far the best podcastListening to the Art and Violence podcast I can just relate from working at young age to finding your passion. I get the special privilege of watching something I design become reality. Keep it up with the awesome podcasts.
-
kjanderes6 Ranch podcastThank you James. I learn something listening to every episode. I also appreciate the variety of topics. Every time I think it can’t get better- It does. Episode 121 is one of the best. Your Episode with your grandmother and pie is still my favorite.

TurnakeyElite Podcast6Ranch is a staple of my Monday routine. I love the diversity of guests. Every week James has a new guest and let’s the guest speak from there own experiences/opinions and it is impressive the way keeps his opinions/beliefs to himself…besides the Llamas!! 😂 10/10

Lynze SListen up folksI’ve been listening to Mr. Nash for years now. He’s my go to on weekly listening. Since I’ve found the 6Ranch Podcast I haven’t missed a Monday - and James and his team haven’t missed one either, I think that’s pretty impressive. I’d consider myself an average outdoorsman and I listen to this podcast to keep the drive alive and learn new tactics to improve my knowledge. Just honest to goodness information and stories from honest to goodness people - and that’s all you really need to know. Thank you for putting awesome information and stories out here for us to listen and learn from, James.
