This is hands down one of the best movie podcasts out there. My main issue is that lately Joe gets really annoying about the podcast structure if it's not going how he wants and he will literally just interrupt Syd or Clara and it's really rude! Sydney and Clara are by FAR the best part of the show. It just seems really obnoxious when they're only allowed to speak at their allotted times

I’ve been subscribed for about a year now, and not only have I discovered a little niche full of people who love the medium as much as I do, but a community who enriches my day-to-day in more ways than I could have imagined. The podcast is ingrained into my routine, and I can’t thank the three hosts - Joe, Sydney, and Claira - enough for fulfilling the past year of my life in such I way. I love you all, your podcast deserves the world.

Listening to this podcast feels like chatting with my friends about movies. You can feel the love that Claira, Joe, and Sydney have for cinema. I always come away from the podcast with new appreciation and incite for films.

This is what a film review podcast should be- so much better the the ringer’s Big Picture- house of cinema is the gold standard- they can be critical without being condescending or arrogant which is key, great work team

The topics and organization of this podcast are amazing! First off, the production quality is high, everyone comes through very well and you can hear everything clearly. That’s a huge plus for me. Second, this feels like discussing new releases or your favorite movies with you friends. Joe, Sydney, and Claira have done a great job building a community!

I love listening to this podcast while I work out. I’m a casual movie enjoyer but still get a lot out of this podcast. All three hosts are fun and intelligent, and the podcast itself is very well-organized. I don’t watch a lot of modern blockbusters so I’m just gonna have to take their word for it about the Dunes and Furiosas of the movie zeitgeist.

As someone who lives and breathes films but doesn’t have many friends who do, this podcast is perfect! In depth reviews, rankings, and ramblings on movies that make me feel like I’m a part of the conversation. Bonus points for keeping me distracted while on the treadmill! No easy feat.

I LOVE love love house of cinema!! The main reason is because Joe, Sydney, and Claira are the greatest podcast hosts of all time. I listen to every single episode even if I have no intention of ever seeing the movie (*cough* Argylle) just because it’s so fun to listen to you guys and hear your perspectives on different films! Not only are the hosts knowledgeable and thoughtful, they are also incredibly entertaining and have me laughing throughout every episode. I don’t have a lot of people I can talk movies with, but when I listen to House of Cinema, I just feel like a gal hanging out with her friends and talking about movies (: Keep up the great work!

As someone who unfortunately cannot function without listening to something in the background while doing my things this pod is a godsend. Joe, Sydney, and Claira are all amazing hosts and you can sense the amount of work they put in. The episodes are very structured which is something I really like and feels easy to listen to. I would highly recommend their Patreon for more specified content like The House of Horror or Animation!!

This podcast is so fun and really helped me become a cinephile. A lot of film podcasts can be intimidating, pretentious, and unwelcoming of someone who is a newfound film lover. But that is not the case with this one. Joe, Sydney, and Claira create a fun, educational, and entertaining podcast that makes my morning commutes much more enjoyable.

I was never a big podcast listener, until one day I decided to put an episode of House of Cinema on while driving because I got tired of listening to road-trip music. Well dear reader, I was hooked. I immediately listened to all of the recent episodes, subscribed to the patreon (you should too), and then crushed all of the available episodes there. Joe approaches film reviews from such an easily accessible angle, and doesn't shame people for movies they do or don't enjoy like some film bros might (not even Tusk). Sydney presents such interesting contrasts to Joe's thoughts sometimes, and it creates fantastic and fun discussions without it being an argument or trying to best the other person. And Claira has some of the funniest quotes in the whole show, and then turns around and has some of the most well strung together and eloquent thoughts that leaves Joe saying "I have no notes". They are literally three best friends, and they make the listener feel like one of their besties too. They're just some silly little pals, having silly little talks, about silly little movies, just like you and your buddies would do.

Joe, Sydney, and Claira are my favorite movie folks around. They are always funny, insightful, and engaging. They are my go-tos when it comes to conversations about new movies or classics. I also recommend checking out their Patreon! They put in a lot of hard work to deliver a bunch of diverse and fun content that is totally worth the price.

Joe, Sydney, and Claira slay the HOUSE down. You get the sense that by the way each host discusses movies, they genuinely and earnestly love film and it’s lovely. Highly recommend the patreon. The House of Horrors series has genuinely expanded my tolerance and appreciation for horror. I grew up quite sheltered and hated horror, and am grateful I had extra push to opening my eyes to such a cool and expansive genre. Also, when the MCU rewatch kicked off with Iron Man, Claira referred to Happy’s character as Smiley and I still think about that sometimes.

I’m so happy to have found Joe, Claira, and Sydney who offer such refreshing discourse, eye opening perspectives, and best of all an atmosphere of friendly peeps that just love movies. The thing I love most about this podcast is the friendship between the hosts! Everything flows so easily and it just feels like you’re a part of the conversation between friends. No snobbery or your usual contrarians who don’t know how to have fun? Sign me up!

How about a butterfly with 5 wings????? We love house of cinema. The newer content with EXTRA Claira who is always wonderful, and the great Sydney with the horror, this is my favorite podcast I listen to. I don’t listen to very many, but the ones I do, I love big time. So I hope that’s saying something. I also love the other guests??? I have never not enjoyed somebody featured on house of cinema. Keep doing the good work, we appreciate you, we are loving it.

I started following Joe on Tiktok and was always firmly agreeing with all of his takes!! The pod is no different—Joe knows what’s up and his co-hosts and guests always consistently offer new perspectives that I love hearing (especially Claira)! Found this podcast from tik tok originally, loved Joes lists and movie news updates, helped me stayed informed and got me interested. Joe is a great cinephile and makes interesting points about each film as well as going in depth and being very objective about everything he reviews. For me the show falls apart with some of his co-hosts. Specifically in the most recent Godzilla podcast and I noticed in several others, his co-hosts are constant contrarians who constantly take the opposing or non-popular stance. This is fine, even a welcome part to debates like this but often times it’s every aspect of a movie they take the non-popular side. Not to mention most people come to podcast to relax and avoid the real world issues that are shoved in our faces, not hear hate speech about America and etc.

house of cinema very very quickly became my favorite and comfort podcast. Joe, Claira, and Sydney bring me so. much. joy. i get so excited when i see that they’ve posted a new episode (and then disappointed if i realize it’s on a movie i haven’t seen yet and immediately put it on my watchlist so i can listen) i've been listening for a while and it’s so so so cool to see how far they’ve come since the earlier episodes!!! they’re all older than me but i feel like a proud mom lol. what’s better than listening to very cool and passionate people talk about movies?? nothing!! there is not a single bad thing to say about this podcast and i hope this helped convince you to listen :)

This is the one podcast where as soon as I see an episode has released, I drop everything and listen immediately!!! I’ve been hooked since listening to Claira and Joe’s Twilight episode. Their energy and friendship is so much fun to listen to, and on top of learning so much from them, they have me laughing out loud every episode. Do yourself a favor and subscribe to their Patreon!

i’ve been listening to this podcast and following joe on tiktok for a while, i became absolutely obsessed with this podcast after claira became a co host! their friendship seems so fun and makes for such interesting conversations. i would recommend anyone that enjoys the show to subscribe to their patreon it is definitely worth it!

I look forward to whenever there is a new episode released especially from the Patreon, which is definitely worth getting! I’ve been loving the MCU and A24 series on there and even the Horror series even though I’m too much of a scaredy cat to watch most horror movies. Joe, Claira, Sydney, and all of the other guests have such an enjoyable personality and I’m always so thrilled to hear their opinions on some of my favorite movies and also movies that I could add to my watchlist.

This is one of the best film podcasts out there. Joe (and all the guests) rock. Super accessible, great conversations/chemistry, and usually pretty funny. Lots of fun! Can’t recommend it more!

House of Cinema is the BEST movie podcast. The conversations are really accessible for casual film fans. Claira, Joe, and frankly all the guests have really fun and engaging conversations about topics that span every genre. I love that the podcast isn’t scared to discuss films that are purely culturally iconic and not just the film broey stereotypical movies. I also love the diversity in takes on different films. Everyone has something really unique to bring to the episode and I think it’s awesome the way Joe curates the shows sometimes around the guests’ expertise. Overall 10/10- i have listened to as many episodes as I can and I love that the podcast has actually gotten me to try watching things that I’ve either been putting off or didn’t watch because I thought I wouldn’t be interested. keep up the great work xx

Joe is consistent with his approach to film. He is funny, honest, and hates Cars 2. I also hate that movie so clearly he is smart.
