She is an inspiration because she makes me feel like “I can” She believed it for me before I believed it for myself. 10 lbs down and it feels effortless now. This show is a great listen for anybody trying to find a solid basis for long term, sustainable weight loss. While the specifics of her approach don’t quite match up with what works for me (I’m a 6’4”, broad dude who isn’t going fully vegan) I really appreciate the focus on spending your energy figuring out what you can do as a lifestyle instead of trying to find the perfect system.

These insights that she shares with us are an integral way to make improvements not only concerning our health, but on any aspect in your life, you want to improve on.

Driver in ChinoGreat actionable informationI have been listening to Lean with Plants for about a year and the best benefit from this podcast is the consistent messaging about having plans, habits and sustainable practices instead of relying on the forever elusive willpower. Because Chelsea relies heavily on science and proven methods backed by books that support her approach such as Atomic Habits, anyone can implement the information provided on this podcast to change their lifestyle habits and more. I have taken to listening to this podcast only when I walk outside to get my steps in. Sometimes it’s late at night when it’s dark and quiet, which is my “me time”. I thoroughly enjoy walking outside now and feel like these walks allow me to learn more, strengthen my mindset and tweak the plan I already have in place to help me get where I want to be health wise. I love Chelsea’s advice to make small gains that are sustainable and to celebrate the mini wins that move you forward. Instead of looking at the scale as the end all be all measure of success, I now look at it as just data. It’s not good or bad, it is just one input that shows me if my plan is benefiting me or hindering me. Chelsea and her podcast have truly helped me change my mindset and look at my journey as something to embrace, not dread. I appreciate the information and positivity, as well as new viewpoints I may not have considered. Thanks! Totally recommend this podcast!

She’s very knowledgeable and really knows her stuff. She breaks everything down so it’s easy to understand. Started out by signing up for some emails then dug into the YouTube channel but when I got the link for the Christmas episode from last year I’ve been binging on this podcast! What could I say that wouldn’t be said by anyone who loves this? It’s inspiring, motivational, insightful. I’m just over 5 years vegan for the animals and have had some great highs & lows on my own with plant based dieting. Sincerely appreciate some of the stories I’ve heard on the show so far. Whether you’re vegan for the animals, the circle jerk or you’re just curious as to experimenting with plant based dieting for your health, Lean with Plants is simple, practicable & easily applicable. Podcast is great though what else can I say.

She shares her personal flops and how they help her learn - so much more. She shares the nitty gritty of how she eats, making it easy and accessible for anyone, as well as life skills useful for all of us! What a great listen! I hope I get to hear a LOT more!!

I had been trying WFPB to lose weight and needed to lose more to make weight for a backpacking trip with my oldest kids. I appreciate all the advice on habit building and practical real life examples. I’m a mom of 5 and life is busy and I rarely put myself first. This podcast has been a game changer for me. Thanks to your help, I was able to lose 50 lbs. and easily made weight and had a great adventure backpacking with my oldest two kids for 2 weeks. I continue to listen and work on my goals. I have more to lose and want to keep it off by forming good habits for life! Thank you for doing this podcast!!!

ZedzeebTake the good, throw out the badThere’s definitely some great nuggets in here. A lot of common sense, a lot of science repackaged for the consumer in an easy to use format. Super practical and actionable. That being said…though this used to be solid, she’s gone into some weird pseudoscience at times. There’s less consistency and more just trying to piece together content. Listener beware and put your filter on.

The episode from 3/20/23 called “Overachievers and Habits” was enlightening for me, and I’m not even vegan. :) She says, “It’s not about lowering standards so much as it is setting your goals and your standards of achievement around behaviors that serve you, not results that are fickle and latent anyway.” This kind of got me out of a mental rut with habits and motivation. I LOVE this, and the insights indifferent approaches Chelsea provides are so refreshing and apt. I don’t know which of these programs are my favorite — they all just expand my mind. Throughout it all, Chelsea adopts a “no excuses” approach to making important changes. One of her most compelling lines is “I don’t care if you like me.” She’s not here to tell you want you want to hear, but more what we all need to hear. The laziness factor that she describes is also very powerful and at the source of much of why we don’t change. Keep up the great work, Chelsea. I will reach out to you to become a client.

Susijay1Lean With PlantsLet me say Chelsea, you have grown a lot in the last couple of years. I am super greatful for your Pod Casts on loosing weight on plants! This week I started eating your 660 calorie overnight oats and you are right, it makes you full and keeps you that way for hours. The made it to 1 lb of veggies with some potatoes and tofu. Cooking potatoes and tofu a head of time is a must. So the result is a two pound dip in weight. I was just under 1800 calories. I am also lifting 3x’s a week, hiking 2x’s a week and swimming 3x’s a week totaling 3 miles a week. All this to say you are encouraging, courageous and truthful in what you say. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 😊

That’s why I found Lean With Plants. But I am so grateful that listening to this podcast encourages me not only in my health, but in my business. The last episode I listen to was how to make hard things easier. Not that hard things should be easy. But that they are hard and they are going to be hard, and I just need to find the way that I can make them enjoyable for myself. That I can set proper expectations. And so I have. Well, I’ll beMore than weight lossAside from the amazing vegan weight loss advice Chelsea spits out gems and makes me view life from another perspective. I really do enjoy when the podcast strays from just weight loss alone and she talks about habit formation, parenting(I’m not even a parent - lol), and how to find happiness and fulfillment. After all, these things are more connected than one may think. She doesn’t sugarcoat things and is refreshingly honest. I’d love even more episodes on how to live a fulfilling and worthwhile life.
