    They’re Back!
UPDATE: As of May 14, Joe returned to the short news format. Thank goodness! This is why I listen to Quickcharge. -1 star for still a bit too much commentary, but I can live with that as long as I have my EV news back. Thank you, Joe! PRIOR REVIEW: The show is incorrectly named. It’s no longer quick news updates on EVs and now it’s too many long-form interviews. While there’s still some news, the show has lost its way. If the host wants to do long-form interviews, great, just don’t put them in “quick” charge. We really need a short form summary podcast like what Quick Charge used to be, published several times a week. But the update cadence is slow and the format is dead. Rest in peace, Quick Charge.

Joe Boris spreads hate and violence
Clearly, Joe Boris is driven by politics and not by facts. Is immature and is an embarrassment to the EV community. Joe Boris lies in nearly every episode and spreads misinformation. Don’t waste your time with this evil.

Most episodes have a nasty anti Tesla rant
The show used to be fun to listen to. Now it sounds like a meeting of your local Tesla short sellers.

    Not worth the squeeze
New host / format not cutting it for me. I have to admit Mikey G made the show interesting for me and seemed unbiased in his reporting. This guys follows the anti Musk Electrek agenda. It’s not a news show. Just not for me.

    It is getting terrible
New host is dragging this show through the mud and ruining the Elektrek image. Ridiculous conspiracy stories. When pushed he defends his pro union background. Who do you think are pushing hardest against Evs?. They rightly understand the number of workers it takes to make EVs is far less than ICE. Every episode comes off as if he is desperate for attention. Childish. Unprofessional. Sickening.

Stopped listening to your leftist propaganda
Grossly labeling and demonizing Trump as a criminal while forgetting Biden was never charged for same federal charges because of Biden’s age is one sided and makes you ignorant to politics - unsubscribed!

    Please Stay Focused
Yes, it’s an election year, and in an election year some people think they can actually change minds and think they have a moral mandate for doing so. Those people are wrong if they do so by poisoning the ordinary course of their business. That’s because if you lose business because of your partisan politics then you miss any future chance of moving the political needle. Elon Musk is a complicated person with political motivations that are more selfish than shallow commentators can typically understand. You had the opportunity to point out that Tesla doesn’t need America’s EV subsidies because their products outcompete others on price and features, and therefore if Musk supports a presidential candidate who doesn’t support those subsidies it is good for Tesla’s bottom line because it makes the competition less competitive. But you are a mediocre reactionary who misses the big picture because you hate the rich and how they spend their money on people you hate, which is why you missed the real story. Do better.

If you like anti Elon rants
Crammed down your throat every single episode, then this show is for you. I used to follow Electrec for Tesla and EV news but now it is nonstop butthurt whining. Previous host was enjoyable

    Not Great Anymore
The show was perfect when Mikey G was hosting. The second host seemed inconsistent with uploading daily. The current host made the show longer and seems to want talk about Elon every chance. I just want EV news nothing more, nothing less.

    Concise
Just the EV news. I really enjoy this brief news about EVs

Tesla (and other electric transportation) news
Good round-robin of news. 3/4 of the information is Tesla related.
  • FUahole
Best EV, ebike, green energy daily podcast
Mikey does a great read of the days news in about 5 minutes per day. Usually Tesla steals the show but other stuff still gets covered
