There’s a lot of different scary / spooky podcasts out there, but I’m so glad I found this one!! Not only do I love scary stories during spooky season, but I love them all year long so this is just perfect!! Great variety of stories, movie reviews / discussions, and so much more!! Highly recommend, very entertaining & enjoyable for all Halloween, scary / spooky lovers!!

I really enjoy this podcast. It’s fantastic and you get so much content. I look forward to all the extra stories you had during holiday seasons. The host is great and I really enjoyed the grinner story that he wrote.

The stories are fun, Henrique’s voice is perfect, highly recommend! Whether you have a few minutes or a few hours to fill, you can find a story to enjoy.

I started listening about a year ago, got hooked on the Strickfield universe that Rob Fields has created and have listened to almost every episode by all the authors. Pro tip: if you love the strickfield stories as much as I do then there is a book on Amazon that has a couple of bonus stories. But definitely do not skip out on any of the authors/stories if you are drawn to a certain author. Seriously some good Brian candy.

Love the show and all the great spooky stories! I do admit I usually come back around August and start listening every day to start feeling the warmth of the spooky stories! Starting my season off right! ☠️😍👻

Love this podcast for my long drive home from work. And as for those 1 star reviews, I’m no detective but they sure do read like they were written by the same person, almost like one person wrote them all and had other people post them in their name. Seems someone is a bit jealous of weekly spooky.

I started listening to Weekly Spooky last year in October and since then have listened to every episode in the backlog to current, I look forward to Wednesday’s and Fridays every week to see what spooky tale one of the authors has come up with! There’s always something new every day in October and when “spooky season” is over, creepy Christmas begins. This show has everything and it is overwhelmingly entertaining!

I began with the very episode of this podcast. I was there at launch when “Mischief Night” launched Weekly Spooky. I’ve been tuning in each and every week since then. There’s always an original story each and every Wednesday. Henrique Couto does a great job at bringing these original stories to life. If you enjoy stories that may be true, there’s also Terrifying & True on Mondays and usually a surprise drop on Friday. But knowing Weekly Spooky goes out for both Halloween and Christmas is even more reason to subscribe to this podcast. I just love having my Spooky on the Weekly.

I came across this podcast after hearing about it at a convention. I decided to take a listen and loved it. It has now become part of my regular day to listen while on my lunch break and taking a walk around the track in my office building after work. I still need to go back and listen to some past episodes but I always look forward to hearing the stories that are told on here

This is a wonderfully curated anthology horror show. The stories are well told with a nice balance of variety of both subject and author. The host of the show has a natural charisma that engages the listener. I can’t recommend the show enough.

I’ve been listening to Weekly Spooky for nearly 2 years, and the stories are fantastic! Henrique and his team do a wonderful job of sharing fun and spooky content. And it’s clear they care about listeners since they continually improve the show (better audiotracks, more show formats,

Listen to Sept 24th and it was 17 minutes in and I had to leave. They didn’t start and I could no longer lister to the woman. She needs to stop whining.

Man…I really tried with this podcast because I love the idea of weekly horror stories. I’ve listened to about 10 episodes now, just to give it a fair shot, but my god. This has got to be the most amateurish, awkward, and just offensively mediocre writing I have ever experienced. I mean I know that the stories are user submitted, so I expected them to be amateur. The bar was low coming in, and they are indeed amateur, but that’s not even the problem. The problem is that they are so clumsily done, and just straight up trashy yet they seem to be really proud of them. I’m embarrassed for them since they seem to lack the self awareness to feel it for themselves Some user submitted stories are amateur but still charming, and that’s fine. The worst offender here, by far though is anything written by ROB FIELDS. Rob Fields is a straight up hack. Some amateurs submit stories just to get their work out there, but have some genuine talent. And that’s cool. Rob Fields is not that guy. Rob Fields is hands down the worst writer I have ever encountered, and is only writing for this cast for free because A: No one would ever buy or read anything he’s written. Sounds mean to say, but it really is that bad. And B: He’s the “executive producer” of this cast, so Enrique (or “Heinrick” depending on what he feels like his fake name is that week)has no choice but to read it all. It’s crass, stupid, misogynistic, and childish, like some sort of very low rent wannabe Rob Zombie, but that’s not even why it’s so bad. It’s bad because it’s so GENERIC! Everything he says, writes, or thinks up is something directly copied from a much better horror movie he watched, probably recently. The dialogue is stilted and weird. The pilots are so barebones it literally feels more like the synopsis of a plot written by A.I., every woman talks like a horny 14 year old boy, because Rob has no idea how women actually think, talk or act (HUGE incel energy coming off every story), and it all feels like it was written by a bored middle school kid daydreaming about weird male power fantasies with zero writing talent. This is worse than bad fan fiction. This is worse than the most awkward “Dear Penthouse Fourm” story. It’s uninspired, cringey garbage, and Enrique reads it off like it’s some brilliant Stephen King story. To make it even more obnoxious, Rob is so completely oblivious to his lack of talent that he has created an entire “Universe” for his hackneyed stories set in a town called “Strickfield” where all of these paper thin characters and cliches co exist. Where every woman is a college age, well endowed, cheerleader with ample breasts and booty shorts, who is also a super powered vampire/serial killer/genius super sleuth, who talks like a horny teenage incel, and every make is a vulgar, lecherous redneck, or a hard boiled heavy drinking detective that’s also a werewolf/demon/psychic/serial killer who kills serial killers, who also is in his late forties but is irresistible to every barely legal woman who happens to glance at him Yeah…great stuff. This dude wouldn’t be able to cut it writing for porn. It is that derivative, and generic. Yet this podcast treats it like Shakespeare Also, one more side note. The host has some serious issues as well. I actually liked him at first until I realized just how full of it he is. Between constantly changing his name for some weird reason, to being so awkwardly desperate for self promotion, that he does things like literally last episode complaining that his birthday passed and no one noticed so he literally SET UP A BIRTHDAY FUND on go fund me, and I ironically asked his listeners to “BUY ME A GIFT”. Seriously…he asked his listeners to buy him birthday presents, and put up a link… I also was suckered in at first because he mentioned his dog was sick and needed money for medical bills. I could relate. My dog also has a massive tumor, and only by miracle did he survive, so I donated to the fund and felt good about it. That was until I started to notice that he always seemed to have some new reason to “donate”. Some new crisis. Something new to tug at people’s pocketbooks. And then, when he literally had the nerve to whine and ask for BIRTHDAY GIFTS from complete strangers, it just clicked. The guy’s a hustler. This is a grift. He’s just b.s.-big everyone. Was his dog even sick? I really hope he didn’t lie about that but I’m very suspicious at this point. Anyway, everything about this show is awkward, weird, scammy, and gross. It’s amateur, it’s self satisfied while also being cringe inducing, homophobic, misogynistic and incompetent. Biggest THUMBS DOWN possible

Love the small stories and the jump scares of the chaotic music

Other spooky podcasts run on a limited basis around Halloween but Weekly Spooky is year round and tons of fun. I love that most episodes are about 20-30 minutes long so they fit nicely into morning walks or my commute. Each Wednesday episode is either a stand alone or short serial fiction story. The stories are intense but often include a bit of dark humor as well. I also enjoy the recent addition of “Monthly Spooky” - a conversational variety episode that runs once a month for about 2 hours, and “Spooky but True” which covers true life spooky stories (often a bit like Dateline or Unsolved Mysteries).

I look forward to this podcast every week, highly recommend if you like horror!

I kind of like it but it has to much cuss words and sex and I think this would scare little kids especially in episode #1 the killer babysitter or whatever it is called

I found this after seeing a podcast with Henrique. Started at episode one and was hooked! If you like being spooky stories, this is a definite go to.

The stories always keep you on edge and the narrator reads each line with great enthusiasm and excitement.

Maybe i could enjoy if it was less explicit!

This podcast is great especially if you follow Rob Fields universe of Strickfield. Anytime I see that the story is about Strickfield, I make time to pay full attention to the story. My top two episodes are Christmas Rage number 1 and The Last Tabon.

Terrible. The stories are so silly and not scary. I enjoy tongue and cheek silly, but this is trying to be serious so it comes off super cheesy.

Weekly Spooky is exactly what I have been searching for for a long time! Horror anthology stories that are not too short and not too long for my morning and evening commute. H.C. is an excellent narrator and he really pulls you into each store with his entertaining voice! The stories do not hold back and that’s exactly what I like about them! It’s like Tales from the Crypt but for your ears! I started listening to the most recent going back but I just switched to listen to the first episode and work my way to the present! This podcast does not disappoint for horror fans who want a bit of spooky in their weekly! Keep up the great work H.C.!!!!!
