Breakfast in the Ruins

Friends old and new join me in Derry and Toms roof gardens to discuss the work and influence of prolific British fantasist Michael Moorcock, as well as other bits of 60s and 70s genre fiction that came to me via my Grandad in the 80s and informed my world view. Books, music, role-playing games, wrestling in Featherstone Library and many other digressions await.

    My favorite podcast
What luck to stumble across a podcast about such an exciting and influential author. The host and recurring guests are always charming and funny, and they bring unique perspectives to each subject or story discussed. These warm and comforting voices have given me healthy company over long working weeks, and it's such a treat to find polite conversations being had (and about such a specific topic). As an additional note to the host; I'm 23 years old, so your podcast does have a rather wide reach. Cheers.

    Fantastic Fantasy podcast
Finally, one of Britain’s (and the all of fantasy’s) greatest and most prolific writers, Michael Moorcock gets his due in this funny, in depth look at his vast body of work. Come for the stories, stay for the hosts warm and witty banter with his friends and guests, and even enjoy the varied music showcased on the show. For a long time I wished for a podcast dedicated to Moorcock, and got that and more! Great stuff!

    The Moorcock conversation you want...
...but so rarely get to have. Not a nerdy in-joke podcast, but a set of smart and down to earth conversations in and around Moorcock’s work and his influences. If you don’t know how very much Moorcock has influenced genre media, then you have a set of works and worlds awaiting you, with an envy I share for you to discover. Start here, then read, a lot.
