I LOVE this concept for a podcast! I remember wearing brands like Sean John, and never thinking about the history behind the brand. I love the idea of exploring the backstories behind fashion brands.

Black fashion has always been iconic but to hear the back story from the experts is another level of inspiration! I loved hearing the costume designer from A Different World detail her journey. She kept it very real!

Thank you for shinning a light on the fabulousness that’s black people have contributed to the fashion industry! It is necessary and important work! Black people LOVE to get fly and stunt... this is literally our history! THANK YOU!!

I love this podcast. The idea is gold and the execution is silver. The Anne Lowe episode was amazing. I can’t believe I’d never heard of her until the podcast told me why. OMG. Where is the movie of her life? For that matter, where are the movies of all the people covered in the podcast? Listen and learn a ton.

Not only do I have an opportunity to learn about the black greats but Taniqua has a way of stirring up an inexplicable sense of inspiration and drive! She shares wonderful untold stories of black fashion greats, while boldly encouraging you to write your own great story!!!
