Michael and Steve are true enthusiasts—they know what they know and are not afraid to show what they don’t. Their expertise is clearly in the water-cooled generation, but they understand the connection to the history of the marque. The only thing better than their enthusiasm for modifying their cars is the fact that they are real people—not celebrity clowns who are more interested in talking about how rich they, rudely talking over their guests, and pushing their political agenda.

I found the PorscheCooled in November 2021, and have made my way through the full back catalogue of podcasts over the last 3+ months. To say that this is “must listen” is an understatement. If you’re a current Porsche owner (or hope to be one in the future), the knowledge you can glean from Michael’s conversations with Steve and all the Owner’s Story guests are absolutely invaluable. Part of the Porsche ownership experience is talking and learning about our cars; every episode is like a conversation with friends at a car meet or show. Porschecooled is a must listen for all Porsche enthusiasts. Every episode I walk away learning something new. Whether you own million-dollar museum cars, just bought a used boxster or cayenne for $5,000, or are just starting to think about buying your first Porsche, Porschecooled will be a fun, pertinent and informative listen. Michael and Steve are great hosts who are in tune to the auto and Porsche communities around the world. It helps that both have aussie accents and calming voices.

I followed Michael even before he started his podcast shows because I liked watching his YouTube videos that talked about his own Porsche ownership experience. These Owner Story episodes allow you, the listener, to get a special glimpse into the lives of each of his guests as they share their own unique Porsche ownership experiences. If you love Porsches and the Porsche community, this Podcast show is for you.

I used to really enjoy this podcast in its youth, but wow it’s gone downhill fast. You used to really hear the passion about Porsche in both of their voices, the stories they told, and the products that they would talk about. Now, they ramble about nonsense for 28+ minutes and mention Porsche maybe twice. I finally just turned it off and changed it to Porsche Colorado Springs: First Dibs podcast. They talk about watch cases, and how they won’t just take any sponsorship, but recommend products that have nothing to do with Porsche, read all these reviews that only the person that wrote the review would want to hear, and talk about the owner stories that most loyal listeners have already listened to. Skip this podcast and save yourself an hour of your day you’ll never get back.

I started listening to this a few weeks ago, wanted to listen to a podcast specifically about Porsche. Sure enough found this and was very pleased. The two hosts are relaxing to listen to, have a bit of cheek to them, and talk about everything Porsche. The owner stories are cool to hear to, as a person who’d like to own a Porsche one day it’s best to hear others experience working toward theirs. Great podcast.

Porsche centric podcasts are rare. These guys don’t disappoint. Informative but informal. I love the banter between Michael and Steve. Great podcast for those new to the brand. Just picked up my first 911 and this podcast was part of my journey. Keep it up!

Michael and his show are fantastic. A wealth of knowledge on many things 911, a fresh perspective on 996’s and the who Porsche culture. Owner stories always something I look forward too. Michael has a great way of telling stories and leaving his listeners with information that’s both informative and entertaining. As a car nut, I just can’t get enough!

I would love to do an owner interview. I am in Minnesota. I got my 996.1 C2 last year when my buddy passed and I bought it from his estate. His brother and I wrench on his 2002 targa and my carrera. Sad circumstance but kept in the family. I have been obsessed working on it and detailing. Driven a few thousand miles and love every minute. Life is short. It’s regular guys who love the Porsche brand - all models and types, but especially the iconic 911 - who talk about the things Porsche owners and people shopping for Porsche want to talk about. It’s amazing the commonality of experience Porsche owners share from all around the world. It’s been fun to hear the owners stories about different vintages and models from people who have to deal with real world budgetary considerations. Enthusiasm is the consistent theme. The only problem is that after I’m done listening to an episode I start searching for a second Porsche.

For all those times when you just want to chat with someone about Porsches but can’t. Michael, Steve, and the guests fill that void. I gave it four stars because at times I feel that it is too 911-centric. Some discussions about the mid-engine cars, the transaxle cars, the four-door models, and even race cars would be nice. Hoping the newly implemented owner stories will diversify the content. I still love this Podcast and I’m really glad that Michael and Steve take the time to share their conversations. Update: I upgraded my four star review to five stars because it’s been my favorite podcast. Whether it’s owner stories or the regular discussions between Michael and Steve, it’s a great listen. Best podcast about Porsches!

Porsche Cooled has quickly become my favorite podcast. Simply put, to me, it’s a celebration of all things Porsche. True enthusiasts sharing their passion, opinions and insight on the best automobile brand in existence! Of course, I am biased but it’s a joy to listen to and also fun to hear owner’s stories and ongoing analysis on values & pricing for pre-owned cars. Last, Michael has the perfect radio voice, which helps make this is great listener experience. (Steve and Ashmal(sp?) too! 😉). Keep up the great work!

Bath is a talented interviewer, and what the show lacks in production value - it makes up for in pure entertainment and relevance to the average enthusiast. Though the show skews towards the water-cooled era, air-cooled is covered from time to time. I have made the show a part of my weekly routine - after a few episodes I think you will too!

Michael and Steve are a great listen. They have an easy rapport between them. What makes this podcast so exceptional is that they make Porsche accessible rather than exclusive. The PorscheCooled podcast has been a breath of fresh air to the Porsche podcast community. Nothing pretentious, just genuine discussion from two guys who own and love Porsches. The “Owners’ Stories” eps have carved out a niche in providing context to “regular Joe’s” and their Porsche passion. It’s so easy to listen to, an hour feels like 10 min. Stumbled upon this podcast as I have been researching 997 as a replacement for my current fun ride. This is a great listen especially during Covid. I find myself going for evening drives a lot with this in the background. Lots of good Porsche ownership nuggets!
