Leodin-vekMakes me want to play againI haven’t played in years and this makes me want to play again. They remind me of the group I ran with for 3 years.

Gr8Irish1Renewed loveFound this pod cast on Spotify wanted to reach out and say thank you all for rekindling my love for DND. My original sir name is O’Gorman by the way my family roots are in Ireland. Wonder if I might be related to Joe.

GoshinbokuSkilled PlayersI really like how Monty, the DM, improvises on the fly. One great example is in episode two when he allows a non-lethal killing blow—it leads to a great Skyrim reference which would have been lost if the DM hadn’t adjusted with his players in that moment.

jdyejsnsSettingI heard about this through the setting and really enjoy this series I am learning more about the setting
-
Prairie_GrlUnderrated & way better than that other D&D ShowI thoroughly enjoy this show because there is always foreword story movement & little to no RPing just to RP like that other D&D podcast. Players & DM are charismatic & knowledgeable.

Afkpuz86Great players, great DM, great campaign! This was the first ever DnD podcast I’ve listened to. It grabbed you from the beginning and kept things interesting for the whole time! Amazing story, which I’m hoping to run through at my own table. It’s also really neat to hear how they’ve had success with their kickstarter. I also watch their YouTube channel for great DnD content. Highly recommend! 10/10

hellopteVery well madeThis podcast has truly left me entertained, and outstanded on how well they have organized basically every minute of this game! I give this 5/5 (10 / 5 if I could ) plus I’m still catching up!

Brendan's AccountAn Accursed CityI found out about this series only recently while looking at the stuff published by Ghostfire Games; Monte (our G/DM) clearly was inspired by Mordheim, and lovingly made it his own. The city is as much a character as the members of the competing factions and players, and you never seem to know what danger is lurking in the haze.
-
TildoreFun and well thought out3 fun characters attempt to save a dark city that was destroyed long ago. It is a perfect mix of fun and dismal darkness . Several competing factions are brilliantly played with their own set agendas that cause them to work for or against each other, depending on the situation, thus giving the podcast an incredible layer of depth. The beauty of the city is also added to by great sound quality. The story is deep and thoughtful. It is very fun! I’m still on season 1, but I’m sure the other seasons will be just as good. After all, “what’s the worst that could happen?”

Nightshade369Marvelous entertainment!I am an old school gamer (3.5 edition was the last I played), and I so wish that I could join these wonderful people and bring some of my older characters back to life! Long live the Dungeon Dudes and the heroes of Drakkenheim!
-
myndtwitchLove this show and I’m glad your back!I’m so glad they are back after the baby break. Just wish audio levels were better like when they played in the same room. When they get excited it’s a little hard on the ears but still 5 stars all day!!!
-
OstarikSo good! The characters are great; Jill, Kelly, and Joe really bring them to life and add hilarious banter. Monty is on point as DM, and the story is so compelling. I also really appreciate that there are three players. For me, that really makes everything a lot easier to follow. Thank you, Dungeon Dudes and guests!

AudioRage82407Completely hookedI originally started following this series to learn how to play D&D, specifically a stealthy archer character modeled after a PC from Season 1. The DM’s impressive quality of campaign writing (especially the Lovecraftian tint) and the PC’s hilarious antics and engaging interactions kept me around for good.

anonomous:(45The best, butFirst I want to saw that this is the best podcast I have ever listened to, and am very excited about the book coming out. However I have one problem. I don’t use YouTube so I can’t hear the untold tales. Please fix this and I will go to 5 stars

FalconweaseSeason1 yes. Season 2 bad accents distractingFirst season is 5 stars. Second is 3 stars. The story is actually better in the second season, but the players accents they put on range from OK (Wilhelm and Mortimer from season one should never meet) to embarrassingly bad. Jill’s accent is so distractingly bad - think of an Saskatoon community theater understudy’s poor attempt at a Blanche Dubois accent from Streetcar Named Desire. It is a chore to listen to her Monty and Joe are wonderful. With no player accents easy 5 stars. With the accents, not sure I can make it to the end - they are that bad.
-
InfernizardFar and above my favoriteI have listened to many different actual play dungeons and dragons podcasts and this is by far my favorite. Every character is like-able and a DM with one of the coolest settings out there propels this one above the others.
-
mbmoylanDungeon Dudes are awesome!I never thought I would enjoy listening to other people play D&D after playing myself for over 25 years, but man I love these guys (and gal!). Makes me miss that my group can’t play more than once every month or so. Also, makes me wish Monty could be my DM.

Reviewer52820Favorite D&D Live Play PodcastThough this is live streamed, the DMs descriptions make it so you can still imagine every part of their world. When unable to watch live, this is my favorite way of consuming the episode. Keep up the wonderful stories, can wait for the next adventure.

krushit 76My Gateway to D&D PodcastsLast summer I finished my grad school class and decided to just veg out watching YouTube. I stumbled on Dungeons Dudes' videos for DMs and players. After being very impressed with those, I figured I'd give the Drakkenheim liveplay a go. It was hilarious: well told, paced, and interesting. Monty's a great DM and Kelly, Jill, and Joe are so much fun to watch and listen to play their characters. Since then, I've stuck around for Shadows of Drakkenheim, the Untold Tales of Drakkenheim, and have joined their Patreon, where they've been able to build a really friendly and welcoming community. I've also started listening to other podcasts and, despite "Godsfall" being my "first" podcast, I'll always consider Drakkenheim to be my true gateway to this incredibly healthy addiction.

Volk13AwesomeGreat podcast. This is like an awesome Fantasy Novel. Ty.

dmarco54Best D&D Podcast, plus it’s clean!Monte weaves a fantastic and engaging story filled with great NPCs and plenty of laughs. The cast has tremendous chemistry. They seem to truly enjoy playing together. I really like that they keep it clean with no profanity so I have my whole family listening.
-
ServotExcellent! All 3 players do a great job in bringing their characters to life. And awesome job to Monty for bringing everything together; action, exploration, plot, and character moments. Good stuff!
-
milgramThe BestThe setting is incredible, and sets a challenging backdrop for the campaign. The DM, Monte, is exceptionally good, and is able to juggle multiple NPCs from different factions in the same conversation. Throughout the campaign, there are multiple episodes that are absolutely gripping, and will have you on the edge of your seats. The players play optimized characters that may be overpowered in other settings. But in Drakkenheim, their strong tactical play is barely enough to keep them alive. Add great roleplaying (some episodes are all roleplaying with no dice!) and it is an amazing campaign.

Myth2132Favorite DND PodcastThese guys (and gal) are superb. Fantastic pacing, descriptions, light hearted attitude...just the best. So glad the rest of season 1 is on here now.

josephina27Amazing, quality, fun!!Where are the rest of the episodes?! I play. I watch. I listen. This is my top favorite, the all-time best. Not competitive, doesn’t pretend to be your best friend across the screen, doesn’t fake excitement or suspense, i was hooked in under 30 minutes. The DM stutters and it took me a few episodes to get over that, but the environment and descriptions are so good, his imagination and storytelling have made this a real place for the PCs to explore. I’ve learned as a player, DM, writer, and reader from this awesome game.
-
DTSCrockettAmazing StoryTheir story is immersive and engaging. I look forward to following their adventures every week.
-
CocoCrusherEngaging story, DM and Characters!Been looking for that “just right” DND podcast since the spring. Finally found Dungeons of Drakenheim. The DM is creative and fun, the characters interact well and have so much fun. Great for the whole family as there is minimal profanity. Thanks for providing this awesome RPG!
-
Gman999999999Great InteractionThis adventure is the perfect blend of role-playing and action. The players are invested in the characters and are not afraid to lead the story into new directions. The DM is flexible and knowledgable of his world which allows a freeflow adventure that feels like a novel. Please add the rest of the episodes to I-tunes.

Jessetimmermans1993Favorite Podcast To DateI’ve listened to a few actual play podcasts now and have enjoyed most of them, but this one is my favorite. I love these guys YouTube channel and had noticed this actual play on YouTube a while back and wished that it was on iTunes so I could listen at work. Low and behold! I open my app one day and I see the first few episodes are available! I’ve really enjoyed them so far and I eagerly await the arrival of each new episode. Keep it up!
