Absolutely love listening to Musa and Ryan. They both obviously have a knowledge and wisdom about the game, and their chemistry and humor really stand out. Perhaps most importantly, they don’t just show a willingness to talk about the intersections of politics and sports, they do so with the nuance and empathy we so desperately need from sports media. Genuinely - Musa and Ryan have yet to have a bad episode. They so clearly have chemistry, and what appears to be a friendship outside of the show (always weird to think you know something about someone’s life who lives halfway around the world and you’ve never spoken to), that it’s always a fun listen. While I wish they’d talk about Borussia Dortmund more (I wish everyone would talk about Dortmund more, even the Dortmund podcasts I listen to) they talk about all of the top five leagues, speak with knowledge and understanding on the Women’s leagues and Women’s UCL, hit major stories from around the world, and even speak about the clubs they’re fans of in a way that isn’t annoying (which is a trick, especially after Utd. bought Sancho and now don’t play him- figure that out). It’s a really, really good podcast.

Interesting, alternative, insightful, intelligent, humorous, and entertaining all easily describe this pod about football and culture, past and present. My only issue is the overuse of the word “unbelievable.” That’s my own pet peeve, and it could be worse. At least they don’t say “literally” often. Thanks guys, keep it up!

Unequivocally the most pleasant football chat podcast going. Insightful, warm, effortlessly cool. Musa and Ryan are a joy and I’m grateful to be able to listen in to their weekly chats.

Max stars, only listened to 4 shows (after hearing them on Guardian Football Weekly) but am hooked, providing excellent analysis with a positivie vibe. Even when I disagree with an opinion I can cope since nothing is delivered with malice or intent to ridicule IMO. If you want a positive show about football this is a good one to keep in the rotation.

In this time of quarantine and the lack of, how Musa describes it, distraction I have found myself listening to more podcasts, and I was listening to football weekly and Ryan and Musa were on and plugged their podcast so I started listening and I haven’t stopped it’s amazing and I cannot get enough. I highly recommend.

Ryan and Musa are just lovey humans. I have never watched football myself, but my fiancé is an avid fan. He’s been listening to these guys from the start, which is how I came to listen to them. I love that it has presented the other side of football- culture, politics, humor, etc., to me. It’s made this sport something more tangible to me. As well, their love for the sport is so pure. 🙌🏼💕

I’m 16 minutes into my first episode and can safely say The Stadio Podcast is right up there with the best. Can’t wait for more!

The other football podcasts are Avengers-style assemblies of football journalists from different backgrounds and different nations (or they're like D.C. aspiring for Avengers' style success), but Stadio is the Black Panther of podcasts. Being political is integral to the show. Musa and Ryan are not afraid to talk openly about racism in football, politics, or the Coronavirus in meaningful and accessible ways. They also appreciate a good joke about wardrobe choices. The soundtrack of each episode is the perfect bonus, much like the Black Panther soundtrack. Like the movie, I anticipate the next episode. And they love a good Marvel movie reference!

This podcast has become a highlight of my week. Whenver a new episode pops up in my feed, I can't wait to listen to it. Musa and Ryan talk football in a way that's totally relatable. And they comment on current events in a nuanced and thoughtful way that leaves me reflecting on things. If this show isn't already in your podcast rotation, I highly recommend adding it!

I listen to a lot of football podcasts, and have been doing so for many years. Until now, I have never felt compelled to write a review. However, your show has struck a chord with me and I assume it has done so with many other listeners, as well. Stadio is timely, fresh, full of ENERGY, and inter-woven with insight. It speaks to the young and the engaged. I think what it really does, is that it scratches an itch that we as football fans didn’t even know we had. Keep up the good work, mates. Absolutely love this podcast! I really appreciate how it combines an intelligent approach with passion for the game. It allows me to catch up on all the major developments in European and global soccer, in both the men’s and women’s game. And it’s not afraid to tackle the big political and social issues as they impact on soccer. Musa and Ryan have great chemistry, and take themselves seriously but not *too* seriously. Musa has an incredible laugh. If you are missing Stadio, you are really missing out!

These mad lads cover everything within the sport of football with such fantastic energy and intelligence that is impossible to not enjoy. This would be Pep’s Fernandinho, Lahm or Pedro. I absolutely love this pod, Moussa and Ryan simply brighten my day when I get the chance to listen. Also not to forget the intro song is sooooo wavy! Gasolina mis amigos locos

All the football, none of the gimmicks. Just thoughtful banter about every aspect of the professional game. Very knowledgeable about the women's game, all the top professional leagues etc. Can't reccommend this highly enough.

I came across this podcast when Musa showed up on the guardian football weekly. I came here to hear mostly his laughs! But got more than what I bargained for. Very good podcast. Perfect mix of banter and football knowledge. It’s the relatability that I love about this podcast Like the episode after Kobe’s death or Ryan’s article about Bobby Robson.

Obviously a fan of soccer not basketball, but the latest podcast started with the Kobe news and I completely broke down on way to work. These guys are so wholesome and love the sport world. I was initially looking for an English speaking podcast about Bundesliga but this is beyond excellent. They talk about the top leagues of Europe (including women). The chemistry between them is great and both are totally unbiased when talking about clubs. Great listen and cannot wait for a new episode every week. Big Podcast Energy. (And team cardigan)

What an enjoyable podcast. I am arsenal fan but really enjoy the discussion related to the other leagues and the woman’s game. The passion that Ryan and Musa have for the game is palpable. I listen while driving home in Washington, DC traffic which is terrible. I sometimes stay in car after arriving home because I want to hear the entire podcast including the music. Fast becoming a weekly must listen. Not your typical European league round up, Musa and Ryan focus on certain aspects of what’s going on and give their povs. Big up Musa’s laugh, Ryan being an Arsenal fan and the hipster electro tunes at the end of every show.

Came across STADIO via Anfield Index and some of the work Musa has done with them. I really enjoy RYAN & Musa’s general approach to topics and their chats on European league football - something I don’t get to listen to much. Also - the music at the end of each POD is pretty interesting (in a good way!) Definitely worth a listen!

Ryan & Musa are both clearly knowledgeable and offer some truly interesting takes/perspectives. I also love that they cover the wide world of the sport, and give attention to leagues I don’t usually get to hear much about (such as the WDL and the 2. Bundesliga).
