MT+MD+WBYCould have beenAll the CTD podcasts I downloaded are ones with Remi I’m sure they are tired of hearing that…. I’ll listen to videos were Dirk talks about bugling but BRO does the same thing maybe I’m missing out by not listening but I don’t know that I am And the Steven Rinella adds are exhausting
-
k_timmmExcellent productLove the pod, PNWild was great a great guest. I have a lot of respect for Phelps and can’t wait for future episodes!
-
JMFC78Stick with the Remi episodesFive stars for all the Remi episodes, a measly two-two and a half for the rest.
-
Beer_skeletonizerGreat podcast!Great podcast, looking forward to new host and new episodes.
-
The AnnoydedInformativeI quit listening CTD when Remi was the host. I was tired of listening to Remi talk about how awesome he is and having Q and A’s with folks calling in and spending half their time sucking up to him. Phelps seems like a solid and humble guy, who has a ton of knowledge.

coalminer2004The Death of a Great Podcast? When the first episode of CTD (minus Remi) came out, I wrote this: “CTD used to be THE BEST podcast for actual hunting tips and tactics. If episode 1 of the new CTD with Jason Phelps is indicative of things to come, I’ll be spending my time elsewhere. This episode was simply a commercial for MeatEater x Phelps’ “Line 1” $300 boutique pot call. Who the heck are they even marketing to these days? MeatEater is in that period of a company’s growth where they need to make a decision - is this about the money or the content? Ditching Remi Warren for Jason Phelps may be an indicator. Hoping that episode1 was just a very weak start”. Today I tried to listen to the latest episode about elk biology. What a disaster. I get the impression that Phelps doesn’t want to do or doesn’t enjoy doing this podcast. Maybe it’s forced on him. I dunno, he’s an icon in the industry but this podcast went from a top 5 to an unsubscribe. Y’all messed up when you parted ways with Remi.

Hunting1014577257Not what it used to beMeat eater is becoming more about ego and losing remi lost all character that this show had.
-
arrows365Awesome podcastI’ve always been a fan of Jason Phelps. First time I went to an elk calling seminar of his was at Bowtech in Eugene Oregon back in 2015 and it helped me out so much. Binging all the elk podcast right now and absolutely love your choice of guests. Keep up the great work!! -Alyssa
-
nhunterkGreat listen.Great podcast and the only reason people hating on it cause they miss Remi. Nothing wrong with Phelps. That dude kills more elk each season than most of these guys will in their lifetime. Keep at it Jason!
-
DeerTamalesNope.I usually listen to these podcasts (and Remi’s new one) while I work out. This one has been a drag for a while, with no character at all to the show. Very monotone. The final straw was working out while some dude screams bear predator calls into my ear. No thanks.
-
elkfoolNot what it wasI Like Phelps but don’t enjoy this podcast. Feel like we got robbed to be honest. Losing remi was a mistake. How in the heck can you make a podcast comparing elk hunting to turkey hunting?? Come on man. Major flop by meat eater which is surprising.
-
Cheese wizard superstarNahThis ain’t it dawg. Cant replace Remi. Phelps is bought and paid for. Dump it
-
NdjskssksksjdndnUnsubscribed.Miss Remi running this podcast.
-
G3536ghjfxToo much turkey talkEvery episode has been about turkeys and it’s pretty boring. Get back to western big game!
-
KnsasMikeIncredibleAs soon as u think you are a good turkey hunter this show humbles and informs you. 10 stars if possible
-
nolantechPodcastThe last couple podcast have gotten A LOT better from the first two. I like the direction he’s starting to go.
-
HammerDick5151Such a let downLoved the show prior to the host change. Nothing against Phelps personally, he’s a likable dude and I think he really knows what he’s talking about. But let’s look at what the show has been for the last 3 years; back country, DIY, western big game. Nearly every episode. Now, we’ve had 3 consecutive episodes about turkey hunting. That’s right, turkeys. Oh well, to each their. Only takes a second to unsubscribe
-
Willy098123Phelps doesn’t have itPhelps seems like a good dude, but he cannot follow in Remi’s footsteps.
-
Enlightened manRemi made me a better hunter! This used to be my favorite podcast because it was so packed with real life hunting tactics. Now it’s just entertainment like a lot of other hunting podcast. I found remi’s new podcast called live wild and gave it a subscribe to continue my education.
-
da chef mackNot the same conceptI was hopeful as I really like Phelps, but had a huge feeling that he wasn’t going to be able to do the show without someone to chat with, unfortunately that has been the case for the first two. I understand that all good things eventually come to an end, I willing to give it a few more episodes but I am worried it will be for nothing.
-
ianleaGame OverThis podcast ended when Remi left. It’s now just an extension of meateater. No disrespect to Phelps, but I don’t like the new episode 1/100 as much as remi’s.
-
notyourtypicalcaliboyI like Phelps, but I miss Remi!I like Phelps, but I miss Remi!
-
0B-Wan!New hostThe new host/episode is severely lacking tips and tactics and is filled with the same drivel that can be found in most other hunting podcasts (two guys sitting around shooting the s%!£).
-
joshv53Episode 1?????How is this now episode 1? It doesn’t restart because y’all brought in a new host….bring back remi
-
Tedski54Hot tips left and rightSolid tactical information podcast. The new host is certainly a different flavor than what we got from Remi
-
asartin25Sure hope this gets betterRemi was awesome and informative and helpful. This first episode was basically the normal meat eater podcast which is just lame. I hope it gets better
-
hmogckSorry PhelpsYou lost me when Remi left. Good luck to you, but I’m out
-
tgroselyTop shelf infoRemi does and excellent job of immersing you in a story and boiling down the lessons learned in it and turning them in to hunting in for that we can all learn from. Update I’m gonna miss Remi. I hope Jason can carry the torch well.
-
NiMiDesignGreatI've been listening for years, lots goes into making this amazing content -nothing else like it!
-
FumumdaReviewLoved the podcast. Listened to episodes while I was doing a solo backcountry hunt or trip so I didn’t feel so alone with some of your wild stories! Looking forward to learning more from you on other platforms.

T. GavBummed Remi is leavingIt was a great show and Jason Phelps will have huge boots to fill. I didn't miss an episode in 2 years and it has drastically changed me as a hunter and has a been a great pathway for getting others into the outdoors. Thanks Remi!

Bobrunner06Solid Hunting podcastBeen loving the show. Remi breaks things down for anyone to understand. It’s easy to see that he speaks from experience
-
nadiswgBreathingCould you breathe any louder love the show besides that
-
Jpcoll01Best hunting podcast…and it isn’t closeSimply the best western hunting podcast. This guy gives out real, valuable advice in every single episode.
-
rezdogCommon sense ain’t so commonThank you. Hearing your stories and process are a highlight to my week.
-
tubamindfreakIncrediblePractical, engaging, dynamic. I really love this podcast because it’s super informational. And then the host takes time to answer questions every few episodes that I would assume he accumulates on social media and other places. I really like the range of topics that he covers. And I also enjoy how straightforward the advice is.
-
Kyle huffRight most starKeep it rolling! The mid October Mule deer strategy helped me bag my 1st deer in 5 years of trying. Thanks remi!
-
wildfishguyRidiculousRidiculously good content. So fun.
-
Hunts505Bow Hunt NMThank you for all your doing all the tips and tactics are so much appreciated So many of your tips were running through my head as I was stalking my first velvet buck ever. Got within and shot at 33 yards Your knowledge and experience helped me a ton. Thank you for being willing to share
-
Ol' dirtyyyGreat podcastLove this podcast! Remi is the man and helped me shoot my first cow elk last year. Hopefully a bull this year!
-
toomanycoloradansGreat infoIt’s late 2021, I just found this podcast, and I’m learning a ton. I’ve gone after game my whole life but I’ve always been better at “shooting” than “hunting”. The things I’ve learned here probably seem basic to a lot of folks but I was never taught them. The episodes on drawing tags has inspired me to get past my “overanalysis paralysis” of the Colorado game system and go after some antelope next season. Thanks for sharing your hunting experience!
-
S ÆsophPure GoldHands down the best podcast available when it comes to real tactics that can be applied immediately to make you a better hunter. Unbelievable that you’re even allowed to just hand this stuff out!! No fluff, just straight knowledge from the best around.
-
nrgaddictVery informativeThis is absolutely the best hunting podcast out there! Hands down this dude is a great host & his YouTube is even better. Cheers Remi & thank you for all your help.

GoatPackerGreat podcastThanks for all of the info Remi!
-
joehunterfisherTop notch informative contentThe info, tactics, and advice in these podcasts are largely responsible for helping me take my first whitetail last fall. Not only was it my first but it was on a small, pressured, public land. Really can’t thank you enough. Keep up the great work
-
